Great program and app. I like how it spells everything out for me. I felt like the app had a longer growing season last year. My grass is still growing in Columbus Ohio. I'm putting in fertilizer applications manually. I also need to put the winterize fertilizer.

I wouldn't mind to see some plans in the future for those of us with Bermuda lawns that overseed with rye for the winter and going back and forth. It has its challenges for sure.
you can test your soil anytime that you are able to pull out soil. So essentially, anytime the soil is not frozen. The only rule to follow is to make sure you have not fertilized the lawn in the previous 45 days - as that can contaminate the sample.
the winterizer is more of a manual process because you do it after your final mowing of the season. That can be well after the ground has already frozen. The idea of the winterizer is it sits there unused during the winter (under the snow) and is watered in by melting snow the following season.

Strange year! Cool season Grass is confused and greening up while dormant is still semi-dormant. Still 45 in Midwest after 1 snow and 1 frost.

Yeah I got pinged to put Starter down and I just got a foot of snow. Not sure it’s correct
I got moles and have tore up my lawn..I have tried everything from traps( none caught) poison worms, castor oil, you name it. Suggestions please!!

For cool season lawns, do I need to mow it lower for when the snowy winter months come? Or, it is better to keep it tall?
I have tall fescue
mow one notch lower for your final cut of the year, nothing more drastic than that, all good!
