Why I bought the 2023 KTM SX-F

- Riding my KTM 250 SX-F at Smith Road Raceway in Ohio and sharing some thoughts on why the 2023 KTM SX-F is a better purchase than the 2024. It really comes down to value and price for your average rider. The 2023 SX-F platform was completely redesigned for 2023, so it's not surprising there are minimal changes on the 2024. The only notable changes to the already great platform are the graphics and a few suspension settings. My recommendation is to save some money on the sticker price (if you can still find a leftover 2023) and invest that into suspension, which is the biggest gripe with the KTM platform (the air forks). Again, for most riders it's fine. Does it take a little more maintenance to check your fork air pressure? Sure, but it takes less than 5 minutes, just like checking your tire pressure before your moto.

SO basically the same bike, give or take minor mods. Do you think there are any changes to the gearing too. Cheers
Exactly. Gearing should be the same.
If I had to choose a 2023 250 xcf or 2024. I'll go 2024 all day it's got Quick shifter now suspension is a lil different which is needed for cross country. I don't modify bikes btw, but I'll choose a 2024 all day prop the same bike but I love the retro graphics and back orange fender plus I'm competitive also the 2024 front fender is also a lil pointed down. But BUT I can see your point if it's just for fun
He’s on about a sxf, he’s riding a sxf, both years are bang same is his point
The MX and XC bikes are completely different. MX bikes are still air forks for 2024. You can also buy new plastics if you want a different color.
@@ryanlongley5052 right. SX-F bikes are the same for 2023 and 2024. Only the XC bikes got the coil forks.
@@ShiftGearsMoto ik but I'm a cross country guy haha wide open in fields etc plus I heard dealers say the sx guys buy a xcf too for motocross and put a 19 Inch rear wheel but yes your correct same bike just a few mods on xcf and 6 gears and different suspension but I'm xcf all day haha
@@JOEMAMA.95why would a MX rider buy an XCF? The only advantage would be the new coil forks, but anyone serious about racing is redoing the suspension anyway.
