I was there, about 12 feet from the band, and I have to say that The Joy Formidable is one of the finest bands to see live. I was soaked in joy and sweat by the end. Pure awe and energy.
She is adorable and what rock n roll needs, a girl that shows rock n roll is still cool. . What an awesome roll model for young girls. Attractive, fun to watch perform, seems to have fun with performing, great sense of fashion, awesome hair. I'm a now a fan. Did not know of your band until 15 min ago.
I can't believe I'm just now discovering this band. That performance was inspired. Ritzy Bryan is a total badass. If these guys play anywhere in southern California, I'm there.
I'm laughing at the horrified reactions to the mix; personally, I think they sound so real and in your face here I can swear i'm tripping which i'm pretty sure i'm not. But one wo/man's trash is another's treasure I guess ;). And no dispute about the performance, I see ♡

Amazing performance, so dynamic and full of energy. The EQ certainly wasn't great, but couldn't spoil a fantastic show for me.
