I think the best part of this is the fact that even though they're supervillans, they still have all the stuff that normal people do: phone plans, rent/mortgages for their lairs, a friggin Costco card?! There were in universe reps for these companies who actually looked at these applications and said "yeah, this is fine." The real villains of DC everyone: corporate.
i mean. look at it this way: would YOU wanna be the chump who tells the Joker that he can't take out that mortgage because his credit score is too low? how well do you think that would realistically go for you? there's a whole episode of Batman: The Animated Series about how the Joker systematically ruins the life of a guy whose worst offense was flipping him off once in a fit of road rage -- S1E7, "Joker's Favor." the episode is actually notable in its own right as the first-ever appearance of Harley Quinn in any medium, which is the whole reason i watched it in the first place. and may i just say: was kinda a rocky start. early Harley is honestly kind of a non-character; she's really only there to look pretty and laugh at Mista J's jokes and occasionally assist with his plans like another random goon
