My mom once made hummus and we had three big ass Tupperware containers of it and it needed to be eaten fast. so I basically had to do this whenever I wanted to eat it🤣
Try dipping some falafel in it that’s what we do in the Middle East the way we prepare it in iraq is that we mix the cooked chickpeas with extra virgin olive oil + sesame paste and some fresh lime juice just a little bit of it and fresh garlic some salt and after we’re done mixing them in the mixer we put it in a plate and spread it a little then we top it with some olive oil and couple black olives. Some people like to add cumin to it but we don’t
Seeing this man being so happy and enjoying his time eating hummus, genuinely makes my day! One could say "it's just hummus", but I actually get him, just because how good hummus is!
I usually go for the cheesy or meaty mukbangs as I can't eat those foods due to a stomach condition. Hummus is probably my all time favorite food that my stomach can process, so I'm way too excited for this video! Makes me crave it more!
Same with me man. I used to down shit like junk food, desserts, sodas and snacks all the time. Then one day i woke up felling like complete ass went straight to the bathroom and threw up. So now whenever i see stuff like that in large ammounts i get nauseous. Currently craving hummus as well man, one of my all time favorite foods.
Tahini sauce is actually a fermented sesame sauce that is used in many things in middle eastern cuisine (I can assure you as i’m middle eastern myself lol). I recommend you to try some falafel and tahini sauce or an authentic beef shawarma with real tahini sauce. Post notifications on for those videos Ben.
Your new discovery of how awesome hummus can be is so dope Ben! Always a pleasure watching you, especially for how real and chill you are in your videos. Keep doing your thing man!
Love to see you eating middle eastern food. Btw, there are levels to hummus, and halal guys is not even near the top (not saying it tastes bad tho). You'd be stunned how home-made hummus tastes, in addition to the texture (what you are eating in this video looked a bit dry).
Yeah I’m no expert on hummus, but the thickness wasn’t appetizing to me. It’s supposed to be more of a spread. I have some red pepper hummus downstairs which I will prolly go eat some now after watching this lol.
I use to make hummus all the time when I was vegan, I would dip pita chips and sometimes carrots, it was tasty, I would describe the taste as a bean dip. I haven't made it in a while, so thanks for the idea Ben!
I love hummus. My fav thing to do is get my cutting board and put roasted peppers different kinds of olives hummus and nan bread. Also some cilantro and either halloumi or paneer cheese.
Even though I'm not from the middle east I grew up eating hummus and tabbouleh, so it's very much a nostalgic food for me. It makes me so happy to see him enjoying food from my childhood and makes me want to eat some now lol
I totally love hummus and I was introduced to it by my bestie who moved to the UK from Lebanon and she always tells me great recipes of vegetarian and vegan food from Lebanon. I always love to add a teaspoon of hummus into a salad :3
Yeah, hummus is so fucking good, having it with falafels, having it with red pepper, having it with pitta bread, put it on anything and I'd be happy, it's so good
Now I’m really craving me some hummus! They’re great paired with veg and chips as well. Ben you need to try some roasted bell pepper hummus and jalapeno hummus. Don’t know if you can find it in Korea, but if you get the chance, man...it’s so damn good.
I'm Armenian and Greek this is a staple in our diet. The thickness depends on the amount of water added to mix. The protein value is excellent in chick peas. We also put cumin on our hummus. We serve it with a side of scallions, tomatoes and parsley. I love crunchy pita. So happy to see you get to eat this.
I'm also armenian :) from France. Here in France, hummus is very famous in lebanese restaurants, but yeah it's very well known in middle eastern. Batchik :)
Love hummus. Pita bread, fried pita chips, carrots, cucumbers, chicken wraps, etc. Gotta nice litte Lebanese/Mediterranean place near by. Nicest people you'll ever meet. Always get chicken mushroom saute, with extra pita, and a large order of hummus 🤤❤️
Yooo you need to try things other than pitas with hummus 😋. We dip everything in it, chicken tenders , steaks, grilled vegetables , bell peppers, wings, basically everything , you need to do one when you dip different kinds of food trust me it hits different.
One of my favorite snacks is Pita chips, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus and a Ice cold glass of Green tea or a can of Arizona. In my early 20's I use to pretty much live off just that lol.
I had a bit of a hard time getting into hummus. My experience is limited to oasis and sabra at the supermarket. I knew I liked hummus even though I wasn't all that thrilled with the available flavors and I also wasn't really into the pita bread and stuff that normally went with it, so I kind of gave up on hummus for a while. One day at the store I noticed oasis chipotle hummus and oasis hummus crisps which are actually made of hummus (and corn) themselves so you're basically dipping hummus into hummus. OMG it was a revelation. The crisps were exactly what I needed for the hummus and the chipotle hummus was like something else entirely. I was surprised how different it tasted from all the other ones. It was so much better. It's my go to snack now. I cut down on the chips and cheetos and cream dips, etc. I also tried the jalapeno one because I love jalapeno stuff but that was a huge disappointment sadly. The hummus crisps also crumble sometimes when you dip, but they also have pita crisps that are a little stronger and taste almost exactly the same. If you are hummus curious and if you like chipotle stuff you gotta try this.
