The Zo Wire hook is incredible. I have yet to bend one out, dull the hook, or had any rust issues. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Your crankbait lip will wear out and the zo wire hooks will still be perfect 100% truth.
Dude I just got jacked up looking at your screen man,,, Ive never got to experience that yet but this is the year I finally get off the bank and out of the kayak. So excited to see stuff like this.
Don’t stop the videos Todd, they are awesome, you in south east Texas, warmer than me, I am in Pickwick, I just never cranked a 5x in January, you whacked them
I loved the section of a video you posted about getting banned from a certain tournament trail. I’m the beginning you and your partner tore em up cranking in some fog. That video pumps me up every time I watch it
I would love to go cranking I would love also to be able to find somewhere that holds amateur tournaments for people like me I just love watching all the education from people like you Edwin Erwins it’s just amazing what we go through and I know what you go through it’s not easy making videos and having fun and giving out education it’s amazing what you people do don’t Ever give up
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I followed another one of your tips. Bought a set of tuna Alley costa’s with silver sunrise lens. Absolutely love them. Especially on overcast days. I’ve never been a dark lens person so they worked great.
Good video wish I could’ve known this for Sunday on Travis. If come back to choke again this year love to get some time on the water with you if possible. Thanks for the educational videos!
I think you should have been throwing the “ Smooth Hybrid Hunter “. Or maybe the “ Delta Red “. Great video Todd. Like the looks of that new rod too. Mike V. ✌🏼✌🏼🎣
I meant that rod would also throw that bait really good. I just watched your “To Much info vid. “ I’ve got a secret tree top to share with you the next time you come to Pickwick. Lol.
I watched a KVD Bass U video where he explained that he didn’t care what manufacture you choose but you needed buy all your rods and reels from the same one because you learn the feel and intricacies quicker. Made sense to me, been running with all Lews rods and reels ever since. Glad I did quality is great but customer service has been better, love Lews . Btw KVD was with quantum at the time.
Yes, KVD won alot of tournaments and money with Quantum product's! I still use Quantum reel's. Best bang for your buck reel's! You can buy them cheap now that KVD left Quantum and went to Lew's. Both are owned by Rather Outdoors LTD. Shawn.
@@toddcastledinefishing5924 - yes sir, I live on Table Rock. We get the 'wart bite' most years in the fall and early winter, then again pre-spawn. Let me know if you need someone to help field test the new bait! ☺☺ My rates are very reasonable! Lol. I am going out tomorrow if we get some wind to try and fool a few. Thanks.

Todd "Let's be Honest"you on the go and you got the#1show🤓got a question? if your throwing a spinner bait or swimbait and you see fish following it on a regular but not biting it,what should you do to maybe get them to bite?Just asking😕looking to see more videos this year
I certainly know the jacked up feeling. Whenever I look back at video it's funny how everything happens faster than I thought it did in real time. Like I threw a jerkbait yesterday and I coulda swore I was waiting 10 times longer than I really was between twitches.
I have definitely had a day like this. All jacked up and it fell flat because of me. Is this the only rod you use from the XD series? I need to get a couple rods just something better for the 6 and the 10 XD
Try the a rig todd, this time of year I'm speed cranking, or a rigging, or swimbait fishing slow rolling the bottom, I mean slow rolling barely even moving..
Can you suggest a good all around flipping setup . I've been getting some big ones doing it and up till now never had that much confidence in it . I'm only 5' 9" and the heavy action long rods seem to much work and not enough accuracy .
Handled all of them I’m not sure I have never looked at what they say because in my opinion is usually different than the guy who writes the specs on those rods.🤣
@@toddcastledinefishing5924 Thank you. I haven't done as well personally on a 6-1 gear ratio cranking versus the 5.0-1 but you have it sounds like in your career. Thank you for all your content and work you put into these.

Great video. Love seeing you figure it out. To many times we give up on a bait when we are just not giving them what they want.
great video Todd,I just purchased the 5XD and put a Lew's KVD casting 6.2:1,10lb Sunline Sniper FC'Lokking to get a 6XD and 8XD
Nice day anytime your learning what to do to get em is a great day thanks Todd.
You got that right!
Damn you was right on top of where I was glad to see we think alike
Just got my new Lews KVD cranking rod in and really like the way it feels. Love the videos.
Great to hear!
I love cranking for bass. Good vid. Gave me some great intel. Thanks again.
You bet

Awesome...you getting a new skeeter this year
Yes hopefully by beginning of summer

Terrific vid Todd! Amazing and awesome example where retrieve speed was so key. Best of luck this yr dude!!
Thanks! You too!

I was thinking the whole video, try slowing down with the retrieve before you leave the spot. LOL,.Great video Todd!
Love your excitement
Very cool . I'm excited about the xd series. I bet there going to be very hard to get. Like everything else. Love the channel boss!
Good video Todd. Great information.
👍
Great video Todd. Always pick up some good pointers from you. Can't wit to try out this weekend on Toledo.
I love your videos I can relate to allot of your experience s
thanks
Way to go Todd, keep working till you figure it out….great job.
Thanks 👍
I thumbs up your videos before I watch them. I know it’s going to be good
Those hooks are the truth! You told me about them at Pickwick. Awesome video dude
they are crazy sharp

Best lens ever
A rig is the only thing I can get them to bite right now utilizing my livescope. That crankbait bite is 🔥🔥🔥 early summer. It’s hard to beat
I hate the A Rig. LOL
Great info! Retrieve speed is critical. I have to make myself slow down and try to vary my speed.
Absolutely love that BB1 Pro crank reel. I actually swapped from my Diawa Steez for the BB1 Pro it’s just that great of a casting reel for cranks!!
I love all the bb1 speed spool pro

Very good content, thank you for the video.
My pleasure!
fished the 6xd rods this past weekend. excellent results. great grips.
8xd rod is my favorite
Great videos as usual ordering that set up now.
Hope you enjoy it!
Great price point on those rods as well.

Little to deep to throw that at the time

Just let me know.
That rod is way to limber you don’t need a limber rod to throw the HH you need some more of a soft tip to work it through stuff.
Great stuff as always bud.
that rod is so sick bro

I will say that I do try and keep all my reels the same as I do like the feel of something I don't want that to change when I change techniques

by far
Great video. Always a big debate on 5-1 gear ratios and 6-1 ratios for cranking.
Thank you for the tips sir
My pleasure!
You had me nervous with all those rods laying behind you. My clumsy self would have stepped on one.
Absolutely love crankbaiting but just not very good at it. Great video and great information. Thanks.
Keep working on it, I'm guessing table rock? We got a crankbait I'm working on thats gonna be killer up there

I feel like the 5:4:1 helps me out a lot during the winter to just do slow cranking but the 6:4:1 is the go to during the rest of the year
I just like keeping mine all the same but its definitely a preference thing

When them XD rods going to be available?

Why are those Lews rods listed as extra fast for cranking? Have you handled any of the others?
Handled all of them I’m not sure I have never looked at what they say because in my opinion is usually different than the guy who writes the specs on those rods.🤣
Hey…how’s that rod walking let’s say a spook or pencil popper?
Have you tried th DT 8
I have to keep reminding myself to slow down. I get jacked too
Do you replace the stock hooks with Owner STX-38 hooks? I haven’t tried them yet but really want to.
Yes or the 45
Guarantee you put your finger next to them you’ll say it’s the sharpest treble ever
@@toddcastledinefishing5924 Right on, I've used ST-36 and ST-41 trebles as my upgraded hook. Definitely going to check these out. Thank you.
We may have had 6 bites all day yesterday we ended up 3 fish 9lbs on a fluke 🤷🏻♂️they wouldn’t touch anything we threw.
Dude…that’s my deal. Fish eat fish every day. I always start out cranking then back up from there.
Well I'm sticking with my Falcon Rods
good rods
Todd, what model are the hooks? St-38?
this
If you had a 5.1-1 gear ratio would you have figured it out earlier in your opinion?
No because I catch them 90% of the time cranking faster, so I’ll choose that over the ladder and if it doesn’t work I should figure it out.
@@toddcastledinefishing5924 Thank you. I haven't done as well personally on a 6-1 gear ratio cranking versus the 5.0-1 but you have it sounds like in your career. Thank you for all your content and work you put into these.
thats crazy had a day with my son and his girlfriend she is wacking them and all it was is she was reeling slower
Happens all the time. LOL
I hammered them yesterday at our little secret lake on the creeks cranking had 3 over 5 all of them where gooduns
What size line do you use?
Sunline sniper 15#
@@toddcastledinefishing5924 thanks Todd I'm just getting into crankbait fishing
