I love Sunline and appreciate the fact that you are not shoving it down our throats. So many other pros only talk about their sponsors products as if they were the very best. Your honesty says a lot about your character and honesty. Thanks, Bradley.
Excellent video. 👍. Would appreciate another, more in-depth on deep cranking cadence, stop and go, grinding rocks, shell beds, sand bars, winding through brush and timber, etc. You know, more Pro’s secrets on working those baits.
100 💯 on graphite and composite rods. For me because I had problems jerking the bait away from the fish when I felt the strike a composite rod changed my life lol. Now I still use a graphite cranking stick for my winter time cranking with flat side cranks. I like it because I can count rocks fishing in the winter. Good info boss!
This is a great video. The Strike King XD series is the most popular but they were able to attain their depths by borrowing their bill design from two other baits and combining them. The lip on the XD has a slight curve upward which is common on the father of deep diving crankbaits. Mann's 20+. The bill on the 6, 8 and 10XD also have little corners which is also borrowed from the Fat Free Shad. Both the Mann's 20+ and Fat Free Shad still catch fish. Another that will catch them is Luhr Jensen's Hot Lips Express but that bait will wear you out and I still catch fish on the few I have left. Great info you're sharing sir and I appreciate it.
Thanks for the simple clarification on the application utility of Sniper vs Shooter. I've been mix and matching. I've also heard rumors of guys crashing/burning a DD22 in shallow water.
Falcon expert has a 8 ft XD cranker.... sweet rod.... another cool video. Thanks...I use the lowrider XD cranker 7'9". for 6xds,and dd16s... another sweet rod
The 6th Sense Cloud Series C6-C25 have been a game changer for me (C10-C15 especially). Baits are a little heavy but not as heavy as the Strike King series. If the fish are killing a certain color, I’ll throw that color on in a silent version that gets a few extra bites. Or follow up with a Giant Shakey Head!
Good stuff. I particularly liked the info on line size and reel speeds like slowing down the speed of the bigger crank baits to get a reaction bite is something I’m gonna have to give a shot.
Opened my eyes to some new things to for sure, Great Video Bradley. Falcon rod guy myself, maybe a video on Top 5 rods a guy getting started into Bass fishing would need. Good Luck for the rest of the season and hope to see you fishing here in Tx, come Aug., Sept., & Nov on that trail Castledine mentioned to you.
Great video Bradley. Cleared up a view of my ideas on cranking. Love the 3XD too and the Red Eye Shad lipless but I guest that is a topic for another video! Enjoy your approach of share information without shoving it down your audience's throat...
You're right about that dd22 bud, I learned how to crank on that one and the deep little n. Still underrated after all this time, Ole Bill had those things dialed in a long time ago! I love all your content brother, real solid! I can respect that marketing is bread and butter in pro fishing, but it's nice to hear an unbiased opinion on baits from a true professional! Thanks buddy!
Great info I love cranking addicted I’m cranking on Rayburn right now and learning cranking with live scope been catching good on 3-5xd and some on 6xd staying shallower finding these fish now big sacks but still learning but fixing to pick up some big 8-10xd for shallow cranking on big line
@@BradleyHallmanFishing well I hope so I gone give it hell trying lol 😂. that’s kool you comment back to most of or all your fan comments most guys never do. Hope you do well chasing the opens this year or what ever trail your rolling with
Man I liked this 1,love throwing the deep crank, the right equipment is a necessity, and I want that old red lowrider, lol, these rods are money, great video cant wait to see what you got coming up in this series
Good stuff man. Have to try some of this at eufaula this weekend. Keep up the good content. Me and my boy enjoyed talking with ya at the classic, your a stand up guy.
Brad thanks for helping me learn new things in every video. I really appreciate it, and keep up the good work. Good luck up north in my neck of the woods, and in the other few in Alabama and Grand. The small jaws are biting up north in Wisconsin, on Ned Rigs and purple hair jigs. Was at sturgeon bay last weekend.
Great video and gave me something to think about with setting up a higher speed reel to throw cranks on ledges. The Spro baits have been money for me as well as the 6th Sense C25’s getting the big bites in summer and Nov/Dec. Where do we get the BFE decals? I have literally taken the BFE down the CA delta punching and they are the juice!
I knew the delta was going to be a place it would shine when we made it! I appreciate that feedback. I haven’t been there in years but I love it! Check on Big Bites website I think they have them! Also have a new Shirt coming next week!
Change the hooks out immediately. Very cheap hooks on the XDs. They will straighten out very very easily. You can actually bend them with your fingers.
Thanks for the info Bradley. Crank bait fishin is something I’ve been trying to improve on and it’s been frustrating to say the least. My question is when you change out hooks on the 5XD or any other medium diving baits what size hook are you replacing them with?
Hey Brad, my grandson has been using the Falcon Buccu big cranker throwing the Spro DD and wrecking the fish this summer. If you had to pick only one size line, what would it be? Thanks and great video.
Brad. Do you ever switch over to a silent deep crank after firing up a school of fish with a rattler? Do you ever just use a silent deep diver on heavily pressured or suspending fish?
Never have fished a derby of any kind other than make believe as a kid against my buddies growing up there. Fished my first tournament at 19 living in Oklahoma.
Is there such a thing as "wearing out the action" on a dedicated crankbait rod? After years of owning 1 specific cranking rod and throwing it ALOT.. I was just wondering if this is true or not? Great in-depth videos...Love'm and keep them coming👍
@@MrWeezy-zz6ou I know graphite rods do not soften over time. So I looked into the glass and no they do not breakdown over long periods of use either. Some of the really old fly rods that were made of glass were rumored to but not true most say.
I like the 5 and 6 series. But the 10 xd is not even closed to Manns 30+. Manns 30 + is the mens department when it comes to deep cranking. Just my Wattsbar 2 cents.
@@BradleyHallmanFishing you grew up on the wrong end of the old bar. Long lining that 30+ is the the best way I know on Wattsbar. Its ledges are a lot deeper then Guntersville or Chic.
