love how you celebrate every step of progression, allowing the student to enjoy every small beginning. That was lost on us as kids with the pressure to keep up with the pics in the magazines

A fellow UK 🇬🇧 dude, lucky for him to have you as a teacher. Love the stay straight in the flat and turns in the transition ✨️ 👌
I always pick up great tips from your uploads whatever level. The higher you carve the transition the faster you'll come out and changing direction is always a bad idea, deal with what's in front of you and try not to get to where you want to be.

Love this! Josh, could please demonstrate exactly what you mean by "snapping up" and "getting into a tuck" when pumping/carving? I think me and many others really would benefit from understanding this. In fact, getting your pumping technique right - movements + posture + timing - can make a BIG difference, I think. Especially for newbies.

Ya it took me forever to realize there's actually 4. Opportunitys on a half pipe to pump up and down on both sides even if your going fakey. Not sure why it didn't click.

    •  2 года назад +1

@@benoduartebd I actually think there are 6 opportunities to pump in a half pipe :-O In another video J.B. shocked me by mentioning that you can also pump up where the transition meets the flat ground/bottom after riding down the ramp. So pumping basically looks like this in a half pipe: crouch as you approach the ramp, pump up at the beginning of the transition (1), pump down/compress at the top of the ramp (2), pump up/rise up/stand up when exiting the ramp into the flat part (3). So there are three pumping opportunities on each side of the half pipe.
