After working at home for three weeks, I just got furloughed for six weeks. So yes, yesterday was a damn bad day. And today I have an NPR interview. Thank goodness it won’t be live, especially because I’ve had about 4 hours of sleep. So I’m identifying with you all, sounding good on air when you don’t feel like it. Thank you very much for being there for us all, you guys! You provide a vital service.

With the depression and mood swings people are experiencing in quarantine people are now experiencing what it’s like to be Bi-polar. Waking up the lowest and most depressed you have ever been. Becoming randomly depressed during the day. Having random bursts of hyperactivity like mania. Little tiny things setting you off into a uncontrollable rage.

I know this is an old episode now but it's good to see you talk about depression. I have had to deal with it for many years, like a lot of people do. For a long time I thought it was about getting good at dealing with the utter despair of it when it happens. I was wrong, the most important part is keeping your mind trained so those episodes happen less and less and your more protected against sliding back into those bad times.
Obviously everyone has different triggers and sometimes it's unavoidable but I think it's a good lesson to share.

Adam’s mention of 1917 brought to mind Gallipoli as your suggested film to watch. Released in 1981 and starring a young Mel Gibson (between Mad Max & Mad Max 2) it was directed by Peter Weir. The ending is heart wrenching. You realize what’s coming and are powerless to stop it. I saw it in the theatre back then and find it difficult to watch even now. You can find it on Amazon Prime.

In relation to the part of the video about trying to figure out why we feel the way we do at any point; I have also noticed the same thing in myself. Even years before quarantining for the coronavirus, if i would ever feel sad or angry or overly happy or excited, I would have to sit down with myself and think about what happened over the past day or two and have to out things into perspective. I really do appreciate you guys taking the time to talk about that and expand on it a little bit individually.

What a portion of the population DOES understand is that this isolation is very similar to going through cancer treatment (for either you or your spouse/partner). You take it one day at a time knowing that you will come out the other end. You won't be the same as before it started, but you will survive, you just have to concentrate on one day at a time. There is a reason that all the recovery programs live by that moto, one day at a time, and before you know it you have made it through. Stay Safe everyone.

At first i kinda did the same and came up with a good, solid level (very low) of fear that worked for me .... what is really problematic for me now is all that "we will get over it - we can do it" talking bullshit, BUT what happens if the next one, like Corvid-20 is just around the corner and we have to do this shit again next year? We can not...I CAN NOT!!
We have to come up with a REAL solution, not with imprisoning people and ruining the social life of EVERYONE! People are ok with constantly giving away positions on their telephone... media even saiys they WANT the quarantine to go on...yet i don´t know if that is really true (which would be sad because they don´t know!) or if it was made up by media to brainwash the ones that want it to be over (what would be even MORE sad!)
I wouldn´t have had a problem sitting through this if shit really hit the fan and we are saving massive lifes here...but it feels all those scientisty also are fishing in a dirty pond...they are so contradicting in what they say...we have states here with 1 dead and like 150 infected, yet a million is sitting at home...we are not allowed to meet people, communicate...but we are forced to go to work, even if we work in a place with 500 people and that business is not producing anything of need right now...we are allowed only to walk in the park etc. with the ones that life in the same appartement/house, but we are not allowed to sit on a bench ext to each other in the same park and enjoy the sun....we have to move...YET WE SLEEP IN THE SAME BED...again, i have no propblem enduring stuff that needs to be endured because it saves lifes and has to be done...BUT THIS JUST FEELS LIKE BULLSHIT and i´m so afraid it will come on a regular base from now on.

Related to mental health... I’m definitely struggling with depression. Every room in my house is saturated with triggers (due to my Dad, who lives with me). Before the SIP I would cope by going to friend’s places or amusement parks or places like that for a break where I didn’t have to worry about anything. None of those happy places are available to me now. I’m only leaving the house once a week for groceries. It’s letting all the stress from the triggers build up without release.

I want a movie where a guy realizes he can register his drone as a "motorized bicycle". He reads the motorized bicycle handbook back to front and all the vehicle codes and cant find any references to having to physically touch the ground. It doesn't even say a driver is required. The wording is "a maximum of 1 operator, unless the bicycle is designed with 2 seats." He doesn't have to get insurance for it because he has it limited to 20 mph. The state eventually tracks him down and sues him, but he finally wins after a long, hair-raising courtroom scene, because of a technicality. He was following every written stipulate in the code of his state. However, they would be adding "physical contact with the ground" to the codebook immediately. The film ends with him turning a desk chair into a remote-control "tricycle" by removing 2 wheels, and sends it to a drive-thru. When the kid in the drive thru sees the chair, and looks around outside, then his phone rings and he turns his back to the camera and says, "Okay... Yes... Yes... But we don't do phone orders... ... Hmm ... I'll talk to my manager, come back tomorrow." Someone please steal my idea, I want this to be a movie.

@@llamallama1509 cause he's using a cam mic check out my streams or videos and mic is never in the shot and sound is good. I just find it annoying people think they have to be inches away from their mic if its a good quality mic a foot or two and it will still sound crisp.

Will's comment about avoiding the last series of the Good Place because he doesn't want it to end is pretty ironic considering the plot of the last episode.

Hey Adam I love your videos I can't think of any that I haven't seen but I have questions about people such as Simone gertz... She hasn't posted anything in probably two or three months..!! I'm truly worried about her...!! would you please give us an update if you can??? Or at least let her know we miss her and we're thinking about her!!!. Obviously it's her decision to make whatever brain tumor issues she has going on, her own private thing.. that all being said!!?... she's been very public about all of it !..the fact that she hasn't posted anyting makes me worry more than anything!!! Talk to her Let us know how she's doing Doesn't matterwhat happens she needs to know we are here for her no matter what ❤️💗💗💗💗!!!

Watch Bacurau! Brazilian movie winner of the Jury Prize on Cannes. For the love of God, you will love this movie. It was available for free a few weeks ago...
Same vibe as Parasite, but with a touch of John Carpenter. Won't give the plot because the less you know, the better.
I know that vast majority of your audience is probably in the US, but this is a f*ing amazing movie. I can totally help you guys with context later if you want.
