One of my favourite omnibus titles of all time. I agree that it's a shame they didn't "upgrade" the boards with a printed design ( finger prints etc show up far more easily against the plain black material ). The binding is quite stiff, but in part that's due to DC using much thicker paper compared to the Marvel equivalents. I prefer the thicker, more durable paper.
Totally agree on the board design, wish they had added some sort of artwork under the dust jacket rather than just repeating the same bland design of the original printing. Still, excited to read this book!
Just opened up this book and I’m 50 pages in. Already got smudges on the black cover underneath the dust jacket 😤 A minor complaint as I’m already hooked!
I liked at a lot at the time the comics were released. Tried to get the trades recently, but I'm missing one volume. I'm not big into Omnibused. I move around too much, and they're to heavy and bulky to move around

i have the 2nd printing and tempted to get this "corrected" version.

Yeah a real missed opportunity there with not updating the design of the book, but such a good read!

Yeah it's annoying that DC still insists on using this cheap material for some hardcovers...

That's fair enough, they're definitely bulky books and as much as it's my favourite format, I can understand why not everyone would like them as much
