BK gets way more hate than deserved. People forget how irrelevant ND was after Holtz left… and just how bad LSU was in O’s last 2 years
I'm a ND fan and honestly BK did as much winning as is possible for modern day ND.
Kelly is a very good coach. He may not have a “natty” but getting one is a possibility. He is a good person, he relates well to his player, and very smart as a coach.
No way a coach of his caliber doesn’t get a natty at one of the top programs in the country. Just look at that 2025 class.
I would agree on all points except "good person" tbh
@@ILSquirtles23lol. Yeah. He is a little bit of an ass. But you need to be to be a good coach… but I do think he relates to the kids and the parents.
brian kelly is not a good person. he killed a man. he is a solid coach which is all that matters i suppose.
@@rickyrougsyeah but Saban has killed dozens
As an LSU fan, I can tell you that half of our fan base will never be satisfied. They are also the ones who don’t follow recruiting, players, or coaches. They just want to flip on the tv and us win every game magically.
LSU alumnus and fan as well. The vast majority of the hate for him is coming from people who aren't LSU fans. Although we definitely have our fair share of nutcases but then again every fanbase has them.
The truth is Kelly is a fantastic coach .
A winner wherever he's at !
2x college football playoff participants ( with only 4 teams making it )
Sec west champ ( 1st year )
Heisman winner ( 2nd year )
10 win seasons ( 1st and 2nd year )
2025 ( #1 recruiting class )
He's a PROGRAM builder
What else does he need to do ?
Of course, EVERYONE wants to become a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WINNER 🏆
does he have the TOOLS at L.S.U. to do this? Absolutely
Top 1-8 coach?
Hell yes !
We all THOUGHT Lincoln was coming to L.S.U
We THOUGHT Jimbo was coming, and THANKFULLY we were all wrong !
I ( jmo ) would take Kelly over Lincoln
Kelly over pretty much everyone at this point !
Yes , if Saban came back here, i wouldn't complain ( but he's NOT )
If Smart decided to say ok, i wouldn't complain ( but he's NOT )
I can't say who else would be better ?
#1 Saban ( gone , so he's no longer #1 )
#2) Smart ( #1 )
#3) Kelly ( #2 )
Eh bk isn't top 8 lsu has all the resources in the world at lsu and is still not elite
That almost seemed like a jab at Ed O. You better check yourself Josh!
Les Miles won a natty. If he could, Brian Kelly can. Les Miles was an awful coach
It's the butthurt Notre Dame fans pushing the Brian Kelly is overrated narrative
He literally got a student killed while at ND. Forget overrated, he's a POS.
If anyone still questions why Kelly left ND for LSU, I suggest looking at the 2025 recruiting rankings right now. Also check the 2026 Top 100 recruiting rankings that just dropped on on3, that includes 4 Louisiana kids in the 5 star range (Top 20 overall). Kelly has been able to snag 6 composite 5-stars so far between the 2023-2025 classes and the state is loaded for 2026. Notre Dame hadnt landed a single composite 5-star in the last decade by comparison. This is the type of talent he just could never get to ND, and personnel is what held him back just enough at ND from winning it all despite winning an awful lot of games and getting to the NCG and playoffs. As long as he sticks it out at LSU for a bit, the championship will come.
I’m not sure why anyone would attempt to badmouth Coach Kelly. He’s certainly gotten things rolling better in Baton Rouge in short order, he’s getting a top tier recruiting class coming in, etc… Continue as he has been, fix the defense, and LSU could EASILY make a conference or national title run.
RTR
That was the LSU brand in combination with an over-hyped media darling choice of a coach that did that, not Brian Kelly.
How many active head coaches have won a natty? Ill wait
@josephabridgesIIICope with this. How many head coaches in the last 25 years won their *first* National Championship at LSU? Hint: 3 - Saban, Miles, Orgeron. Hell, Kirby was on Saban’s staff at LSU the year after LSU won the NC… LSU fans have nothing to cope about. LSU makes coaches NC winners and transfer QBs Heisman winners. 🐅🐯
@@EEEconLawyer2007delusional
@@EEEconLawyer2007 Brian Kelly technically won championships at Grand Valley State.
@@ShantyIrishman Technically correct. Nevertheless, Kelly took the LSU job to win at least one P5 national championship.
Deboer will have several very soon.
Roll Tide!
As an LSU fan, I'm very pleased with Kelly.
Coach O, while he put together an amazing 2019 team, basically gutted the program with his leadership (or rather lack of it). Both the offense and the defense were left in complete shambles, with injuries, players opting out, and transfers. (We didn't even know if we could field enough to play Florida, and we had to use a WR to play QB in the 2022 bowl game.) Kelly, without question, has turned the program around. LSU was the #1 offense last year. They just have to clean up the defense and we're set.
same, ive seen saban, les, O, now BK, and I can confidently say that BK is definitely on the right track, hes been a fantastic recruiter and LSU guy. he's made necessary coaching adjustments, he listens.
True. But he has gotten further than most coaches in college football rn. He made it to a Natty and made it to the playoffs. Got beat both times lol still made it tho. Further than a lot of coaches y’all say are better than him and did it w Notre Dame!! What have they done since the 80s?? And watch what they do from here on out. Not SHHIIITTY
Happy to have the winningest active football coach with 2 D2 Natty's coaching for us!
Most likely those people that don't like BK are the same ones who cried when Nick Saban arrived at LSU
I don't think anyone cared enough to cry about LSU football when Saban arrived.
I think Kelly would be viewed very differently if he wasn’t at Notre Dame. Not having a conference title to play for and having a lot of great but not championship-caliber teams has made it very easy for the “he hasn’t won anything” crowd to be vindicated. It also lets them pile on during Kelly’s bad seasons (2016 comes to mind).
If he can get LSU towards the top of the SEC and win in the expanded playoff, I think that crowd will go away (whether that’s a fair assessment of him as a coach or not). It could be like how Dabo was seen as a choker his first few years in Clemson before the run of ACC dominance and playoff success.
I don’t dislike Kelly, but isn’t it his fault he hasn’t had any championship caliber teams? He was at ND which is one of the biggest name brands. As the head coach he is responsible for the caliber of his roster.
It’s exactly the reason why as Urban Meyer explicitly stated he took the Florida job instead of the Notre Dame job. If Kelly had the opportunity to take the LSU job instead of Les Miles or Ed Orgeron he would already have at least one national championship, probably more.
@@Boxing_leprechaun No. Even Ohio State who recruited top classes yet was also unable to recruit the caliber of talent necessary to beat the SEC teams that Kelly’s ND teams lost to in the BCS and CFPs, namely, Alabama and Clemson.
Thanks Josh for the "upgrade" to "wet garbage" defensively. Avid LSU fan here, Coach Kelly supporter as well. Never in my wildest dreams did I think LSU would call that effort a Defense. Coach Kelly HAS made some serious improvements, and his taking "Close the boarders on the Boot" talent wise is what's going to make LSU a National threat again. Saban, Jimbo, Kirby, heck even Les Miles knew that!
Nd can I hate Kelly but have massive respect for him saving the notre dame football program. He just always come off as a used car salesman
I'm very pleased with BK so far, but with the potential of this 2025 class , and then you'll have a 2026 class in Louisiana that has 3 top 8 players nationally & 3 or 4 other top 60 players, he should be contending for championships within the next 2 seasons, and beyond. I'm very pleased with what he's doing to build up depth throughout the roster
Is that Karl with a “k”? Brian Kelly could win an NC twice over the next 5 years and still the haters would not put him in the Top 5.
What he has done at LSU is nothing short of amazing over the last two years. It might take him a few more years to get it where is needs to be to reach its peak.
I’m a hater. But I promise, if Brian Kelly wins a national championship, I’ll stop hating.
He's fine
@ToddRobinson13 well bk brought him to baton rouge and created the offense he flourished in. He wasn't winning the Heisman at ASU under herm lol.
@ToddRobinson13 Isn't a big part of a coach's job getting talent to his school and developing it? Mission accomplished.
@@kendallandrews8691 that first FSU loss the LSU coaches changed major elements of the offense because he couldn’t run what they wanted him to do. Daniel’s maturation as a QB is because of LSU coaches that Kelly hired. They did all sorts of stuff to Daniels to get him comfortable with letting it fly
“carl’s single” LMAO
The only reason I can think of why anyone would really hate Brian Kelly is because he had a grad assistant(?) film practice outside while on a crane when it was really windy outside. Those guys will never forgive or forget Brian for that.
Half the people that hate on Brian Kelly right now don't even know that happened.
Brian Kelly showed he was a great coach by what he accomplished at Notre Dame. He'll be a success at LSU.
Lifelong ND fan here. Ive watched Kellys teams for years and the one thing they all have in common is they choke. They always choke on the big stage. Why? Kelly does not know how to keep his cool, therefore neither do the young men looking up to him. Just watched him lose to USC tonight and it was not surprising at all. Dont accept his brand of mediocrity.
Nuss will be BK’s best QB he has ever coached, book it. Guy is a gun slinger and with LSU/SEC WR’s….good luck!
check 2026 but skip 2025 lmao 🤣 probably because Notre Dame is currently #1. marcus freeman has had higher recruiting classes every year he’s been with ND than kelly ever had in his entire tenure with Notre Dame. The reason daniels won wasn’t because of brian kelly but solely because of denbrock.it’s a lot easier to get into LSU than notre dame yet somehow marcus freeman is doing something kelly never did.
BRIAN KELLY KILLED A MAN AND IS STILL ALLOWED TO COACH??? LOCK HIM UP
Hey, if JESUS returned there are people who would re-crucify him. People like to hate these days, have you noticed?
I'm born and raised here in Baton Rouge. Brian Kelly is a great coach. Let's Geaux Tigers 🐅
Kelly took a Notre Dame program that had been completely irrelevent for 20 years and put them back in the top 10 on a consistent basis. Brought them to the BCS and CFP where they played what was probaly two of the best Bama teams of all time in the 2013 & 2020 teams. The 2020 Bama team could be argued as one of the best college football teams of all time. Those teams were undefeated, yet Kelly is overrated because he didnt beat them in games that Notre Dame were double digit underdogs. It's one thing to hear the Notre Dame fans whine, but when someone outside of their bubble of ignorance spews that stupidity, it is utterly ridiculous.
This segment made me sick to my stomach. Last year's defense was ...there are no adequate descriptive words in the English lexicon.
Me too as an LSU fan I'm happy with BK. All these keyboard warriors can apply for the job and see how well they do.
Brian Kelly isn’t a great coach and Dan Marino wasn’t a great quarterback…
This is where Pate drifts over to the lame lane. Why is it so important to him everyone loves Brian Kelly? Just a dumb topic.
Are there roaming armies of Brian Kelly protestors I'm missing somewhere?
War eagle 🦅 Auburn and lsu and Georgia are the future of the sec in my opinion with napier and Brian Kelly though having the most pressure
Whether you’re LSU or Alabama or whatever program …haters gonna hate no matter what or what not you have accomplished.
Kelly does have a few div.2 national championships. He's also poised to fill the void Saban left in college football
Brian Kelly is a great coach. A douche bag as a person, but a really superb coach. Is what it is.
Yes we do, we hate Kelly strongly he left us when still had a playoff chance and slander us.
Brien Kelley is the best college coach in the nation that has ever killed a student manager.
One day off from the Discraft The Hawk
Hes not better than Mike Norvell....... Go Noles
I mean he killed a kid so I guess people can hate him if they want to
As a LSU fan I hated BK before he came to us
Dislike the man. Respect the coach
2023 LSU over 2023 Washington? Lol Penix would have decimated them even more than he did to Texas.
He killed a guy at Notre Dame
brian kelly is cringe
Hez good not great
They're just special. Be nice to them. They can't help it.
Calm down Carl
4:15 yeah i don’t think anybody in the world would trade a national championship ring for 3 playoff appearances in a row? Go ask Michigan how they felt before last season
I mean of course it’s depends on the program you root for how likely you might set your expectations to. Someone that roots for a perennial loser that hasn’t even sniffed a playoff game is gonna be happy to just be there more often on a consistent basis whereas someone whose team is always in contention but never gets to see the big prize are going to be jaded by “just making the playoffs” and thus be open to an explosive victory win even if it means they don’t come back for awhile.
Carl pissing me off on a Monday. Ruined my lunch
Carl on the findbom show. "This is Karl from analusia"
As an LSU fan I would take scenario B all day long
Haters gonna hate hate hate hate
Carl’s single got me
As an ND alumnus I don’t hate him. He’s a good coach. He brought us back to second tier after the wheels began to fall off the bus, although Charlie Weis was underrated. But, I don’t like how he left just before a major bowl, when we were still being discussed for a playoff spot. He did the same thing to Cincinnati when he came to ND.
When would you prefer to do it with the situation we had in Baton Rouge
Brian Kelly needs at least playoff win to stop the haters.
If I am Brian Kelly, I don’t give two sh*ts about the Haters. They will always exist no matter what one does. Why? Because intentional ignorance is part of the human condition.
Hes no Norvel but hes a top 10 coach
Norbell one good year... Now he's elite... Gtfo
@@Louie914better than kelley. 2-0 with less talent is proof…
@@Louie914 give me norvell over brian kelly any day of the week
@@anthonyclark9545 naw.. But I'd most definitely take Norvell over Kaleb Deboer.
BK has the track record. It speaks for itself.
Unfortunately it took BK 2 years to realize that he needed Louisiana guys to recruit Louisiana recruits. Other than that he’s been a fantastic head coach.
It is better that he realized than not. Les was unmovable.
LSU was gushing blood everywhere and Kelly did not have the luxury of figuring out where the issues came from…
It did not take BK 2 years to realize the benefits of recruiting Louisiana. He said it in every press conference that that was the reason he took the LSU job. And he targeted Louisiana players in the portal first 2 weeks on the job. It took him 2 years to build the relationships with the high school coaches and establish credibility with recruits. But BK in his first 3 years recruited Louisiana better than Ed O in any of his 5 years at LSU.
@@EEEconLawyer2007 ask the Notre Dame fans. They will gladly tell you how lazy he is. Brian Kelly doesn’t recruit. He closes. His coaches recruit. He just happens to be good at finding coaches that are good at their jobs.
@@PHUnkel66 I graduated from Notre Dame when Charlie Weiss was head coach and I can tell you that Brian Kelly inherited a mess and turned the program around in less than 3 years, just like he did at Cincinnati and just like he’s already done at LSU. 🤷🏾♂️😂
@@EEEconLawyer2007 thanks.
As an Lsu fan ive never seen a worse defense in my entire life and i think his offenses dating back to Notre dame, are gimmick offenses that struggle in games against elite competition.
The 2023 LSU offense was in no way gimmick offense. They were elite.
@@matto2198literally #1 in the country 😂
I don’t hate Kelly I hate LSU.
Brian Kelly isn't even half the coach Prime is.
Yea only coach with absolute negligence getting someone killed
I think very few people think Brian Kelly is a bad coach. Most people, including myself, recognize that objectively he is a great coach. However, many people do not like him because they are not happy with how he handled leaving ND for LSU. I had no problem with him taking the job, but I don't think he showed enough respect to his players, saying goodbye with just a quick 3-minute speech. Keep in mind that Kelly left during an 11-1 season for Notre Dame that had potential to turn into a playoff berth had he stayed until the end of the season.
FSU will be playing their first opening game of the Mike Norvell Era against a non- Brian Kelly Coached team. In those years, Brian Kelly’s sound bites were legendary “I think my whole team needs to be Executed” “We’re going to beat the heck out of Florida State” but, as an fan of the noles, it’s hard to hate a coach that can’t beat us 🤷♂️
It’s like that old episode of SpongeBob “ How many times do we have to keep teaching you this lesson old man?!?!”
Truth is not hate. Brian Kelly hasn't won anything worthy of note. He hasn't won a BCS championship or a playoff game. This is SEC bias that once you become a coach there you just 'magically' win there. It is amazing how OSU Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day has actually won a conference championship and a playoff game but isn't receiving these 'hater response' videos.
He’s a really good coach simple as that. Y’all go on and on lol
The *truth* is that LSU gave Nick Saban, Les Miles, and Ed Orgeron their **first** National Championships as head coaches. The *truth* is that Brian Kelly had accomplished significantly more than any of Saban, Miles, or Orgeron *BEFORE* coaching at LSU. Ed O was fired at Ole Miss and passed over for HC at USC. Saban had 1 season above 6 wins at MSU. Miles was barely .500 at OSU. Kelly will ALSO win his first National Championship at LSU and retire a hall of fame college football head coach shortly thereafter. Bookmark this. 😉
Have seen day on a few lists of coaches on the hot seat. Buckeye fans are not too happy with losing three in a row to TSUN, especially with harbrough getting the natty last season.
You’re trying to justify your stupidity
You must have missed the previous video where he called out people like you claiming because someone has never won a title they've accomplished nothing. Kind of hard to win a conference title when he's only been in a conference these last two seasons. Day was also born on 3rd base. Inheriting a winning team. Kelly inherited a team in disarray with 39 scholarship players and still made it to the conference championship and won 10 games in his first season.
He hasn’t won a conference or many bowl wins either but whatever
Hey im not a hater, i just know this dude chokes. Loses when it matters, but Ryan day, Lincoln Riley, and James Franklin are all the same. I love Ryan btw
