@@blessures From what I understand she shares custody and is still close to the father but this is an explanation. In the interview she said she wanted him to understand when he was older why she choose to change their lives and the foundation of his world.
I totally agree with the the theme of the videos. In “rolling in the deep” you can see her building a house. In “hello” she is there moving into the house. In this song, she is leaving the house, symbolizing leaving that part of her life behind. It is almost like she is sitting in the same part of the house she “built” in rolling in the deep in this video. It’s a very smart move creatively.
Well in hello she’s not moving into the house but coming back to it to fix things with her partner as she transitions into “easy on me” where she’s finally leaving and moving in years later as you see she’s grown and even changed phones from a flip phone to a touch screen…
This is my opinion, from the beginning of her journey "Rolling In The Deep" and the "Hello" the tone of the music video was very dark, very deep. "Easy On Me" also the same, but at the end of the music video, the transition from black and white to color. I felt like she said to herself and the world:" I have had enough, I want to move on, I don't want to suffer anymore, I want the best for my son". Which is brighter future, like the color in the music video it represents for Adele new adventure, new life and so much more.
what a nice view ... yes I kind off agree and she has been saying similar as well thru the recent interviews. Will see what else brings the album : Divorce babe Divorce (as she said in the Instagram live)
I really didn't like her last album. It just seemed like she was using her range to embellish her words too much and that came off as unconfident to me. But this: I really like. It just seems like her statement to the world is: I am a woman. Take that as you like. Maybe: I am a strong, intelligent adult, and I know what I'm doing.

I think it's a nicely written song with deeply felt, honest lyrics....but it doesn't sound like a lead single. The bridge kind of goes nowhere and the melody doesn't stick in my head like basically everything on 21. I'm sure it will grow on me, but this is the first Adele single that I didn't "get" instantly.
So simply, honest and beautiful. Adele speaks to so many because she’s so relatable as a person and the songs she sings are all things we’ve gone through. This song is about her divorce, for someone else it might remind them of a relationship with a parent, for me it’s about my relationship with my older brother. I’d love to send this song to him.. maybe he will realize something
It's beautiful isn't it? I'm not ashamed to say it took me right back to the last time I had my heart broken and I think that's the power of Adele isn't it? It's so specific and personal to her- and yet so universal to so many of us? It's a singers song (although I doubt I could do it as I have a huge break between my chest and head voice and my falsetto isn't strong - and she's mixing a LOT here). I wish I could sing it though! So emotive! :)
She’s the Queen of Ballads. I remember finding her on MySpace (remember that?!) back in 2004 and she had like 200 followers. She had a few songs on there, but one stuck out to me, “Hometown Glory.” Couple years later I hear it on the radio…so I feel like I am responsible for her success lol.
I must have been one of her 200 followers. I was hooked on her voice way back then when she sat in a chair and sang her heart out. I’m so proud of her and myself for picking such a winner.
Local London lads from her hometown areas loved her for that song - putting them on the map. Not the sort of thing they'd usually listen to while doing casual building work but you could see them walk taller when it came on the radio
@@aguti7920 Don’t believe everything you read. I remember when she had 1 follower. It was me. I’m responsible for her success. Easy to say, not so easy to prove.
Heard it was her way to explain to her son, who didn’t take the break up very well. It tore his world apart and she’s hoping through her songs to explain it all to him. Or at least that’s what I’ve heard.
To be honest, I think her skill and voice in this song is way better even than before. So much more technical things going on! Still can belt, but much more control and restraint between each time she lets it out. It's mesmerizing.
Isn't it amazing how she makes the extremely difficult (vocally) seem easy? And, at the same time, all those emotions arising from within . This is great!
I agree with you- I think she sounds just as good as she always has! Thank you for pointing out some of the new things she’s doing with her voice (some of the riffs). I noticed it was a bit different than her normal style so I’m glad you spoke on that. Super excited for the album as well! Happy Friday :)
The color transition from black and white to color shows where's she's been and now was a pleasant surprise. Her voice is enough. And we all hear it loud and clear. Can't wait to hear the entire album. Thank you again for your Honest Reaction!
I have to admit I waited for your/other vocal coaches and commentators reaction on this :) Personally, I not like the biggest Adele fan under the sun, but I feel that Adele's way of making music, marketing of it is truly one of a kind in the current reality of "fast food" music and culture of consuming it. And I really admire it in a way. She disappears for rather long periods of time, getting back with the material that tells her personal story through musical lenses and by her own voice. Seeing quite a few opinions already in vein of "this is boring/nothing new", " I was not worth the wait of 5 years", "this is too similar to what she already made" etc., I wonder if some of these folks confuse their own personal expectations put on artists with said artists' personal stylistical consequence chosen consciously. Adele is a whole brand of music at this point - and apart from very strong public association on her voice/music style, even the whole look of it, it's visible that this is kind of material/aesthetic she wants to associate herself with, what's maybe more - it's an aesthetic that allows her to be honest artist in the best way. And I would never question it, getting results as "Easy on me". For those who complain about the song being good, but being the same stuff Adele already did/being boring - there are plenty of other artists around, also those who constantly change their image or musical style to choose from while expecting something different. What a lot of ppl really fail to understand this days is the stenght of consequence and confidence in it regarding music/being an artist. Is "Easy on me" in similar Adelesque vein? Yes, it is. Should this be punished just because of it? I don't think so. I feel that she writes new chapters to her musical story book in her own pace & time, with all of them belonging together, but shedding a new light with each song about her sensibility. "Easy on me" seems to encompass that retrospective/nostalgic vibes from her previous records, yet it has a different feel to it (maybe a bit of edge/grit about delivery, lyrical side??) which makes me anticipate the whole album even more.
I’m not the biggest Adele fan either and one of the reasons why is exactly BECAUSE of her “schtick”-the despondent, lovelorn songstress. We get it Adele, you suck at relationships. Get some therapy and new material.
I'm a huge Adele fan and that video made me tear up a bit. I've missed her so much. I'm turning 30 in a couple of months and I'm so ready for her new album! I can't stop smiling!
I really enjoyed your reaction Georgina! I’m not the biggest fan of Adele, but the song is beautiful. And I’m interested in hearing the other songs from her new album.
Adele is definitely in her prime at this moment. I think taking the break that she did and focusing on herself has allowed her to also prefect her voice and vocal technique. She was amazing before but my god she blows my mind still even in 2021.
She is the singer/vocalist/artist of our century! Hands down! She told herself that the songs of this album is a try to explain her divorce to her son. She is speaking to her son. Especially in the lyrics: *You can’t deny how hard I’ve tried* *I changed who I was to put you both first* *But now I give up…* I changed to keep our family together, I put you both (husband and son) first and lost myself… It’s not my fault this divorce! Go easy on me… 😭😭😭😭
I love Adele and she has an amazing voice but there is no progression in her style of music. This could have been taken from any of her albums. It gets boring. Is this all she has to offer? BTW, this chorus reminds me of Be Tender With Me Baby.
I agree. Particularly as she previously said this album wouldn’t follow the age number title format, and the video had the same director as “Hello.” She could have done something more interesting

less than 24 hours since she released this (yes I did wait up half the night my time for this release) this track has got over 40 million views!! She's still got it BIG time... that voice, the song, and the woman herself... FLAWLESS! She has said that this song and much of the album is written about her son, his father (her ex husband) and her relationship with herself, this is about starting a conversation that might be hard but is needed or spreaking up about something that isn't working, but (her words) "go easy on me, it's not always my fault" ... totally LOVE IT 💖🎼🎹
This song and Adele herself are revelatory and so moving. I know that it is from her own personal life-as it should be-but nowadays we need this heartfelt, pure talent that she so gives. The song is actually about the devorce, Adele can only write songs when going through a hard time, especially with relationships, as she's said before. And as she's said she has written this based on her relationship
I was just about to mention the same thing. So unnecessary. Why do they do that? Sometimes it can add to a composition, but in this case it instantly kills the true soul in her voice.
This is the best, Adele's song is awesome, and I love your responses so so much. You teach me something new everytime! I love you please continue to be on point everytime for many years to come! Ps, that intro is banging!
No doubt, Adele's voice is one o the very best ever. Her song writing however. Music wise I get bored by just another ballad in the proofed commercial manner, lyric wise I am almost annoyed of been told again of her crappy love-life. Imagine an upbeat, happy, danceable tune, with that wonderful voice.
It's a pleasant song and her voice is great as ever BUT everything is so familiar- it's all safely in her comfort zone. It's Adele song writing by numbers, this time 30. I hope the album shows more growth and her taking a few chances/new influences. She's still a superstar and deservedly so. If it ain't broke why fix it?
Adele sounds stunning the rest worked cause she sounds even better I hope adele does a Christmas album as well and does acting in movies and TV in USA and end up getting a hollywood walk of fame. Love your videos by the way Georgina 😀
This song is absolutely beautiful. Her voice used to grate on me for some reason, but I've always respected her for being such a fabulous songwriter. This song has changed my opinion about her voice... I just love it!
It was a beautiful rendition, classic Adele. I can tell her voice is in top shape; beautiful transitions and use of vocal techniques. Just needed a little voice over harmony as the chorus progressed would have been beautiful.
I love this song after nearly 6 years. Adele always on top form. I wish I ne er stayed in a unloved relationship for 13 years. Lovely song and so good you moved on realising your life would be unhappy. This song is very poignant of relationships. Well done Adele 🎶❤️can't wait to hear the rest of the album
I'm not that fan, but I do like Adele's voice and how she uses it in a very unique way. I also hope to hear some different new stuff other than the same dark, down, heartbroken ballads she's done.
I think her voice is actually better now...its maturing and if you can forget about the lyrics and just listen to the sound that comes out of her mouth...it sends goosebumps up my arms much like Chopin's Nocturne in C-Sharp Minor or Erik Satie - Gymnopédie No.1...for me it will always be the sound rather than the lyrics.
I feel like Hello with coming to the house and taking off everything was like opening up a wound, and leaving the house in this one was like her last visit to the wound
Just found your channel, Must agree with you on that "Intro to the Chorus" and it GOT ME TOO!!! My family always teased me that I would catch the little things of a song... A single triangle hit, Out of the blue Timpani hit... You describing such things just gave me goose bumps! AND... Im not gonna apologize, but as a Yankee from across the pond, your eyes and accent, I have the Biggest crush and I'm 45!!! Hahaha. Another bloody smash from Adele. The piano reminds me of the way Elton plays. Song makes me want to cry.
This song is one of the most beautiful things I’ve heard all year
Adele is sounding better than ever…. Cannot wait for the album 🤗
This is the best, Adele's song is awesome, and I love your responses so so much. You teach me something new everytime! I love you please continue to be on point everytime for many years to come!
Ps, that intro is banging!
5 seconds in and I get the chills, beautiful 😍
You look beautiful today Georgina ❤️
Thank you so much
I would've loved it if she had cut the music during one of her "easy on me" lines. Amazing song.
I thought the same especially after the bridge
YOUR HAIR AND MAKEUP LOOKS REALLY GOOD
No doubt, Adele's voice is one o the very best ever.
Adele sounds stunning the rest worked cause she sounds even better I hope adele does a Christmas album as well and does acting in movies and TV in USA and end up getting a hollywood walk of
fame.
Well that just shows you don’t know her catalog. 🙄
So nice to hear a song with just a singer and minimal production. So good! Thank You!
Hi mom....Adele is a big n famous singer also Beyounce...Maria Carey..what is the purpose to react them...or maybe they need lesson...OMG.
Hello Georgina, you have changed you haircut since I saw you ..Really beautiful.
Can't wait to capitalize...huh..? Do you know your technique is bereft with issues..? Of course not..!
Isn’t many artist who can comeback after so many years.
Hello....I have been watching you reactions for a long time ... Have you seen Kelly Clarkson sing The Dance..Kennedy Center Honors Garth Brooks.
You are just amazing 😊 @HonestVocalCoach 🥰 love your videos
I think her voice is actually better now...its maturing and if you can forget about the lyrics and just listen to the sound that comes out of her mouth...it sends goosebumps up my arms much like Chopin's Nocturne in C-Sharp Minor or Erik Satie - Gymnopédie No.1...for me it will always be the sound rather than the lyrics.
It's beautiful.
But we've heard this song 12 tomes on last album. It's just another Adele's song.
Awwww...what a lovely song. Heartfelt.( An aside, your hair looks really good!!!! I want!).
Georgina, like Adele never disappoints!!
I really don't enjoy this song... doesn't cut it for me....maybe it will grow on me..
Of course she has a great voice
I really love how she is exploring more of her head voice in this. It will bring a lot of benefits, beyond the beauty...
Vocal coach.....you have the most beautiful blue eyes! Adele has the voice like no other....I love listening to her...goes right to my soul.
I am so glad I found your channel. Adele is exceptional! Not only her voice is impeccable but also her songwriting is such a masterpiece. Spectacular!
Its like you said about hello. Same director, Xavier Dolan, and it's filmed in Québec, Canada, nearby the US lines on a Vineyard. Beautiful!
As an American makeup artist who watches you from time to time, I’m loving your visage today! Well done, gorgeous!
I feel like Hello with coming to the house and taking off everything was like opening up a wound, and leaving the house in this one was like her last visit to the wound
Regina Spektor has a similar idea of music pages flying in one of her videoclips, another master. I love both, but Adele is Adele.
I find it astonishing she didn’t took the chance to kick her new album off with something different. Very disappointing....
Boooring! Sorry, but Adele really seems to be a walking depression. I've had enough of that kind of songs!
Hahaha. Adele is showing us she is STILL amazing, and I like you, can't wait for what's to come... MAYBE, if your lucky, Ill let you take me to an Adele concert! Hehehe. JK love! Don't be a stranger and You have 1 new subscriber!
I love Adele because she's really really talented. She knows her voice and she challenges herself. Vocals! ♥️🔥🔥🔥🍻
I don’t know why hearing you say the word “bops” tickled me but it did. 😂
