He needs Jap bikes with with loads of variation. Then he can just go out and thrash the tits of it without concern out of the box. I mean who the F complains about only getting to 9k in break in rotfl. What a clown, then it's of for 4k of the rev range it has a massive flat spot and "needs" re-tuning. rotfl. This guy is a clown. He needs to watch Motoamerica racing or something, then he will see how his flat spot on the stock bike really is. They race these in stock form, this guy is an internet genius and there are loads of them about. Im really glad I ran into this video. I had plans to purchase an M1000rr. The information you shared was helpful. I can understand the break in period with these motorcycles. The last thing BMW want, is to hear complaints about customers blowing their engines on a hard break in. But that dead spot between 4000 to 8000 rpm, is a no, no for me. I usually dont tune my motorcycles, because I dont race. But I would still like to have that power, when I need it. Now im thinking to myself. Spend 40,000 on a motorcycle and than spend extra money to get the performance out of it. Now, im second thinking this.

    • @haste953
      @haste953 Год назад +12

@@cain772 yeah japanese bikes are impenetrable, to make them stop working you need to literally throw them a bomb. That's why I said you can't call a Zx10r a low tier bike, not because I hurt my feelings, I don't have a ZX10R, personally I side with Yamaha as its always been my poster brand since I was a kid. BMW makes nice stuff but they're almost never reliable, all S1000R before the current generation were timer bombs and yeah they were the fastest for a while but for average consumers none of that matters if won't work lol. Same happened with BMW cars, not very reliable, it's just german things. Now BMW isn't the speed king, the power king and they never were the reliable king, arguably they aren't the looks king but this is not saying they are bad obviously, I'd love to have an S1000R but if I had to only choose one supersports it wouldn't be my #1 not even #3 choice because it would be be #1 R1 #2 ZX10R #3 2023 RRR Fireblade SP #4 S1000RR.

I had a 22 M-Sport here in Australia with a tune and full exhaust. Loved the bike and the wheelie thing can sneak up on you quick.
If I sat in the seat it would come up, I just stand on the pegs with full weight, but still keep your butt in the seat just touching whilst leaning over the tank and lean into the screen with your helmet, boom you will sling shot hard from 2nd gear without the front coming up (bumps excluded). I ran wheelie control for a bit while I got used to it and then dialed it back.
So many guys are focusing on wheelies, but very few focus on keeping it down and getting that hole shot launch.

You left out the DCC dampers come with the premium pack as well, which to me is the main reason to option Premium pack. So basically I’ve got premium, forged wheels and tpms for less than 23 grand. Now if you want the rear sets, M seat, and battery, it is cheaper to just get the M rather than getting those a-la-carte on the “base”. In Sweden, the same bike costs $34,036. Insurance $2,800 per year, even here a little depending on where you live.

Great vid, lots of info. Cars and bike “speed” very different also highway pulls and track are very different, as a advance group track rider, I’d suggest you try a track day instead of just highway pulls.

I can't understand why 20 Years ago, we had good, reliable, pleasant bikes to ride out the showroom, to this...
Buys a new bike, needs a flash to make it smooth and enjoyable to ride.
Expect to have a coolant leak within a year or two that will potentially go onto your tire (keep in mind coolant is also a lubricant)
We need to go back to great, simple bikes.
In 15 years, these bikes and most bikes made today will essentially expire due to electrical issues and part supply.

I 1000% agree. It’s unfortunate with all the emissions standards of today and the increase in horsepower plus different regions of the world have different restrictions or no restrictions. I understand but at the same time I wish you could pay a little bit more or less to have certain things or not have certain things

Have Bren soften up the tune in both 1st and possibly 2nd gear. I had a VERY healthy stock wheelbase ZX10R with the same problem. Evan at EJR soften the hit on first and second gear and made the bike 10 times more rideable and hence, much faster.

I would also like to mention that some BMW M series motorcycles, particularly the 2023 M1000RR, are encountering issues such as sudden engine failure. Personally, I’ve ridden both the M1000RR and M1000R, and during my ride on the M1000RR, I experienced an engine failure warning on the display. While the engine remained running, the throttle suddenly became unresponsive. Despite my attempts to regain control, a message appeared stating 'engine failure.' However, after shutting down and restarting the bike, the issue temporarily resolved itself.
It’s worth noting that many others have reported experiencing full engine failure while riding the M1000RR. Despite these concerns, BMW motorcycles continue to impress with their outstanding performance and striking aesthetics.

    Thx for the honest opinion.
BMW will not support you in a warranty claim if you do not run the bike in, it's the first thing they check on the bike in the event of a claim. Some idiots remove the running-in limiter, in which case you can kiss that warranty goodbye.
At the end of the day, it's a track bike, where bottom end gutless doesn't matter, and so those 200 ponies all live at the top.
