Your videos are a breath of fresh air. No loud voice , no hyper mode or corny stuff, no distracting vulgar music, no crazy editing. My hair loves your products and is thriving. 🌱 Also, I believe I dont see coconut oil in your products. Thank you!! The hair industry is obsessed with coconut oil and my hair became very frizzy and dry from using many products that contained coconut oil!

As soon as you said holding spray it made me realize that I forgot they existed and it would probably work better than piling on a bunch of gel or other stylers for hold. Its a blind spot in the natural hair community because you don't see many brand in that group with a holding spray.

    • @apara2005

Right?!?!?! .I NEVER thought about using hair spray!!! I know on the rare occasion when I went to Caucasian hair salon (think I only been twice) they did use hair spray to set my style. At the time my hair was relaxed, but it should work on natural too.

Hi Mo, can you do a video on scarves, wraps, bonnets, silk pillowcases and anything else in the category you think is important. The main thing I get confused about with satin is whether something that is polyester can be weaved into satin and what is the importance of silk, because you can't seem to find anything without it saying polyester.
Also, is moisture training a thing, if so, how does it work?

These videos have been gems! Thank you especially for touching on silicones. Lately I’ve taken to using silicones again (after *years* of avoiding them because all I heard was how “bad” they were). But all of the silicone-containing products I’ve tried thus far are excellent! My hair detangles faster and stays detangled, which is quite a feat!

Mo, your comment about 'edge control gels' really struck a chord with me. You said that 'these products work best with clean edges so that they can attach to the strand as intended and that oily products will break up the formula and prevent them from molding altogether'. That is true for me with regular gels. I just thought that the oily products had already coated my hair and that the gel could not get to it. Your statement makes total sense. If I shampoo, deep condition, rinse, use an oil or leave-in with oil, then use a defining gel - the gel DOES NOT define my hair. If I shampoo, deep condition, rinse, then use a defining gel - the gel DEFINES my hair. And I have very fine, high porosity hair. So glad you stated this little nugget. Hopes this helps someone out there that has noticed the same.

If I had listened to all the product “reviews” I never would have tried ‘the MoKnowsHair collection. I took the plunge and loved my results. When I applied the hair mask, I almost cried at how good it made my hair feel. I could tell the formulation was good. Then I tried the pudding and was in love. My sister, who never comments on my hair, asked “what did you do different to your hair.”. I am so glad I didn’t listen to all the negative reviews.

I use your shampoo, conditioner, restorative treatment, potion and pudding so I'm wondering if a silicone or hair spray (which i rarely use) would help my hair with frizziness since i live in humid Florida. I love it when my hair feels soft and not stiff which is probably why i stay away from hairspray. I'm enjoying your products and thanks to you, learned not to use so much on my hair (i was following what i was seeing on RUclips...dumb.dumb. dumb :-) By the way, in case you weren't sure, you are an amazing instructor.
