I hope this gives people more appreciation for the amount of time and work that goes into hand crafting leather goods. A lot of people don't have any idea.

This will be really helpful to beginners to see the full process for edge treatments etc. when I started the patterns make it easier but all the extra stuff to get a polished result took a little more research and practice. Looking forward to seeing part 2

I don't think I've seen a build along outside of lives, thanks for this Tony!

love this video, helps show its not a fast process.
also loving how nearly all your videos shows something different, a new tool or different technique, i like the iron on bonding sheet, seems to be a lot better and less messy than the glue method.
cant wait to get this pattern and annoy the neighbours with the hundreds of hand hammered hole punched holes.

It reminds me of the build-along of the explorer backpack which was my first project with you and why I am a subscriber. Thank you.

Heat set adhesives work better if you place the iron down and hold pressure and then pick up and move a few inches over and press again. Rubbing back and forth doesn’t give the best adhesion. A heat press would be even better.

HI Tony - what type of canvas are you using for your lining? Been trying to master that lately and think I might be using something too heavy. Also, any other lining insight would be very welcome. Keen to take my projects to the next level. Is there a leather that works well?
