  • The Cheek to Cheek Deck allows you to perform one of the cleanest and most powerful routines in card magic--with absolutely no sleight of hand!
If you can have someone pick a card, put it back in the deck, and shuffle... you can do the trick!
A card is selected and returned to the deck. The cards are shuffled face-up into face-down. At this point, the magician seemingly has no way of possibly finding the card. But, with a snap of the fingers, the magician fixes the deck... all the cards are face-down... all except for one, the selected card!

On the second trick when you're forcing which half of the deck the spectator gets, I like John Archer's patter. He says "Just choose one of these packets for me..." If they choose the right one you're done. If they choose the wrong one, you say "Great! (and as a little joke) you say " And now the harder decision choose on packet for you." and you push the packet towards them.

Very nicely done tutorial. I found the deck only at an estate sale and had no idea what it was! A friend thought it was "Cheek to Cheek" so I found you. You teach the trick and its variations without a lot of "blah, blah, blah" like so many other do when trying to explain something. Your presentation was very easy to learn. Thanks!

Thanks I only really like method 3 as forcing the half the deck in method 1 or the magicians choice in option 2 could both get a bit sticky with an awkward audience member who does want to make a choice. Method 3 is pretty much perfect.

Liked your last method, but they all were well explained. Thank you for the upload.

Magician here. I do this effect without the gaffed deck and without it mattering which card is chosen, but even when it does matter, it doesn't bother good magicians because we just seamlessly start performing a different effect. Ironically, the no-gaff version of this one is the perfect way to run rings around that type of spectator, unless they physically try to snatch the deck from your hands, in which case you make a fool of them by pointing out that everyone already knows this isn't real magic, and I'm only an entertainer. If you don't like magic then why not go and ruin someone else's fun? 😂
