Why are we even adding the ability to focus on assualt rifles, who is asking for these features. They spend so much time working on the wrong stuff
The did this for Warzone, high recoil weapons, and LMGs. One aspect you aren't mentioning is when you're focused, you get a reduction to recoil as well as your sway, at least that's what the description says. So for MP, yeah, it's pretty redundant. But if you're posted up with an LMG on Warzone, then that's recoil and sway reduction might give you the ability to melt an enemy or two before they have the chance to get cover and fight back.
@@Alpha_2-6 Warzone and CoD multiplayer should be two separate things when it comes down to how weapons handle in game in my opinion.
I use precision foregrip on all my ARs and most SMG and I have notice doing much better in gunfights. I can't believe Idle sway is also a thing even when we are shooting the weapon and trying to control recoil with our left stick. I can totally understand having idle sway when you are not shooting the gun or using your left stick to control the weapon

@@-BigCstyle- left stick is to activate aim assist and strafing has it's benefits too, hard to aim for the enemies

This is almost as dumb as when vanguard had random bullet deviation. They either need to remove this or heavily tone it back.

@@adameaszy7879 It's not random. The sway is consistent. Much like recoil, it has a pattern that gets more aggressive depending on the weapon, and if you ran out of focus in some cases.
This explains why I was losing my mind wondering why I would lose gunfights with the Tsarkov on search. I felt my aim was dead center but I guess not
What they did to the snipers in this game is crazy, I feel like they’re doing too much with all of the weapons in general.
Target laser encourages hardscoping, strelok laser is what you want for having your shot go where you center for quick shots.
All Strelok laser does is it makes your hip spread more accurate while you transition into ADS. It doesn't affect aim idle sway at all. It's good for snipers because normally you have to fully scope in for the bullet to go anywhere near where you're aiming but with strelok you can fire before fully scoped in and it will go much closer to where you were aiming. When snipers have like 600ms ADS time that's a big bonus.
So Strelok laser was good for being able to fire sooner. Target laser was for making your shot more accurate when you scope in by having no idle sway for ~3 seconds so you always scope in where your crosshair is supposed to be. But now they made it so that snipers all have a free ~1 second of no idle sway on scope in so now the only real reason to pick the target laser is if you like walking around corners while scoped in and don't want it to bounce as much.

I like my C9 with a bit of bullet velocity on it, do you think even for SMG's idle sway attachments are worth it?
I'd say for the SMG's the most you should do is the Precision Foregrip.
Realistically, you shouldn't be fighting any engagements out to a range where idle sway could hurt you.

idle sway should come on after your initial breath is relaxed (3.2ish seconds after ads ) and then breifly locked back out to stability for at least 5 seconds. (or longer with perks) when toggling focus. and then compound the negative effect intill stamina is restored after a rescope or the standard reset sprint to fire rate o the gun. so hard scope campers get punished by just playing shooting gallery bowling noob and rewarding high awarness stratigic hold players but only in those more high i.q. defense plays. where timing would be more detrimental for sniper skill development.
Treyarch REALLY don't like snipers.
They really don’t and it sucks. I used to snipe all the time in order cods now it’s just so punishing to do so
Idk if you’re on pc but snipers with keyboard and mouse make them ridiculously OP they are already the best weapon type in the game next to the smgs and shotguns. They really are insane. Even on controller that why you see so many ppl using them now. It’s like having a one shot shotgun that works at all ranges. Assuming you have all best attachments ofc. Did some testing with them myself and they can outgun everything.

Indeed cod is the only game on pc where I just use a controller. (Well maybe besides Elden Ring or the Monster Hunter games. 😅) It really sucks that if you use m&k you're at such a disadvantage.
They're trying to balance console with M&K as best they can. On console, aim assist is weakened up close but is stronger at distances to compete with PC players. They've always had the advantage at distance while suffering up close and now they've somewhat evened the playing field.
@@dillonc7955 wouldn't really say they made the playing field even, omnimovement made aiming on mouse twice as harder with the speed and animations of jumping a round while controller only got a minor downgrade to aim assist, they can still track you almost the same as before
@@dillonc7955it’s not even whatsoever, average mnk player will get shit on by average controller players. It takes an extremely good mnk player to even get close to how accurate aim assist is. Now add in idle sway, muzzle flash, particle effects and all the other shit that blocks vision and you can see why no one plays mnk anymore

They have no idea what they are doing !! Prime example headshots count for NOTHING on a game people flop around like fish .. so your skill means nothing !! We cant have people whe can aim beating others who cant !!

This is a realistic approach to weapon handling in an unserious and ridiculous game. What’s the point aside from making the game feel more random?… They refuse to add consistency in this game. You as a player are already working with weapon placement and recoil patterns irl, why add more crap to control.
Seems like it mostly affects snipers, which is fine. Sniping is a braindead easy point-and-click adventure game otherwise, they can afford to be taken down a singular peg that can be mitigated anyway.
For the love of god DO NOT use lasers. They give you away.
If you're holding ADS, then you're already not using the target laser correctly.
@vitalnormal2531 just in general lasers are bad. On the guns they most benefit statwise, they give away position and good players will rock your world. The 50k invitational 3 days ago shows this.
Unless you're using a sniper, blaming idle sway on your lack of skill is just a hard cope

@@beatle7809 ive been playing mnk for 8 years and picked up a controller last week, theres really nothing to it. I get more headshots in the same lobbies I play in it's ridiculous. I can close my eyes once it kicks in
"idle sway" Doesn't hurt me at all on mouse. They could 2x it and I'll still say that.
You’re in the minority. Snipers in this game feel so inconsistent without the laser, and I’m a good quick scoper in MW3.
@@Sulaxo Im default to minority, since I am using a mouse. With a mouse that sway means ZERO to me. Sniper or not.
@@krich106 i mean, it's quite literally more of an issue on MnK, since you need snappier aim and precision matters, if you don't notice, your lobbies might just not be fast enough for it to matter
@@zig4193 I have won multiple kovaaks challenges, along with the discord badge to prove it. Top 20% in kovaaks, on many popular scenarios. I have no issues with sway. Now for things that slow you down(stuns, etc). How the game "exits with the acceleration" being gradual, messes me up every single time. I don't even use different optics, that had different FOV's from the primary one i use. For my hipfire is 1:1 to my ADS, otherwise its not(if you use multiple optics with different zooms). Then yes i use the same optic even for snipers, since outside of warzone, i can clearly see supposed max range on the maps. But even in warzone, I'm using a 3.5-4x scope max and will hit you if you can hit me.
Then its not snappier/flickery aim, you want to be tracking more(you'd swear i use a controller, until the action heats up with multiple targets on screen) for how smooth and consistent my mouse movement is, its only fast when needed. Only time you do a so-called flick, is when the target is inside your "flick zone"(which is the area in the center of your screen, that you land 95%+ of your shots. This is greater or smaller depending on your skill). If target is off screen and you rotate 180degrees, you want to track to the target soon as visible, then flick within your flick zone. Which is really point-clicking, not flicking. With that in mind.... Its no wonder if my sight sways ads, that i automatically point-click and hit target. Some might disagree with that, but I doubt they have better raw aim than me. Even shroud does this, if you understand how it works(youll see it). Far as shroud knowing he does this? no clue.
Now having said all that... My movement is booty cheeks and that gets me clapped in COD a lot(i can barely consistently slide thru a doorway). Switch to CS2 and im worth more.
