One of the things I like the most is you can pull and use generic units. The voice localization might have english options on the full release. I am hoping for it. This game brings back memories of hours of playing FFT, Let us Cling Together and etc. I spent hours re-doing kills to get item drops and over 100 floors back in Let Us Cling Together, I am thrilled for this game.
That is the spirit and good mention on that! I enjoyed the demo and it seems like the full on release of it from the development team is on a good track to be honest. I have hopes for it for sure
I'm particularly suspicious of talking about this game. I've been playing for a long time, I started on the Taiwanese server 4 months ago and I'm in love with Sword of Convallaria. I even created a lot of content on my channel going stage by stage.

It looks promising, but the gacha aspect is gonna to immediately make a lot of people check out, especially when said in the same breath as "character collection" and "management mechanics" that require real-world time for things to finish. Things could go real south real fast if the developers start to offer "guarantee recruitment" and "progress convenience" with a price tag, assuming they don't outright paywall something later. Not that I'm adverse to playing gacha games myself (I play several already), I can just see why certain details are going to give other people pause despite how nice it looks otherwise.
As for where that stands, the single player can be finished without the gachs. And it's also free to play. My only worry is if you want to get into multiplayer or if the game eventually gets shut down. But the development team is open and has been interacting with people in the community.
It looks solid but an 8 rating seems rather high based on the management of all those things, I'd give it a 7 at least for me. Anyway, glad you got contacted by a game developer! Square Enix totally needs to add you to their list of RUclipsrs.
Hey TY for the comment and support. This is just from my experience with the Demo which I'm enjoying. I'm unsure of how it will be once its fully live but from my time playing it I did have fun especially with the gameplay. Although managing all the training, resting and all that can be a lot. But its a free game so we can enjoy it lol
I have been quite addicted to this over the past couple of weeks now. I agree with practically everything stated. personally, my biggest gripe is the RNG of skill acquisition and resource management are too tight. Having led to a number of situations where failing tasks was only due to being short a week or not enough because the missions of the week did not provide anything i needed.
@@J7Jase IMO FFT's style of expressions suits the atmosphere better. Another example is Triangle Strategy / Fire Emblem which is more animey yet still has gloomy expressions.

@@J7Jase replayability is a huge part of it, because you can't really upgrade all of your characters to max in one run, and the story have some choices to make that will give you a different piece of lore, I got 100% achievement from that game, and I played FFT for 13 years
@@J7Jase the 3 normal endings aren't really satisfactory, but there is the golden path you can which is so good after you finish all 3 endings, you can skip cutscenes you have already seen as well to not lose too much time
I love tactics RPG, ogre battle, tatics ogre and etc. I also don't mind the randomness in some elements of this game, what only bothered me was that I'm finding the game not challenging. It has been very easy, even when I upgrade my guild rank and select a increase in the difficulty of the game.
I was playing this game and I was encountering a few bugs, but that may be because I was playing it on Linux lol My friends pointed out the UI seems to rip off Genshin; I wouldn't know I don't play it. But seeing as you gave this game a solid review for at least single player; maybe I can keep at the game and see how bad the gachapon is before bowing or maybe they'll treat GL as well as DFFOO did and Ill stick around for that too.

I see a mix of games, because from others channels I follow, like the ones who talks about Megaman Games, says fight the same 8 enemies bosses, over and over again, it's been satured already. I have even contact by e-mail the American CAPCOM to offer new content, by making Crossovers with another franchises. However they said the Japanese CAPCOM have laws, against using content created by the players community. What I have sugested to them, it's against the Politics of the Company. And what they are making, is something good. Because this appear to be the new tendence to some videogame companies, making crossovers, to avoid repeat the same idea again.
Very nice, demo is free and is a long one but if you want to wait for the full game since it will also be free I say give it a wait all up to you my man!
So I am going to let you know about sword of convallaria. You can do the whole pve without spending. There is the energy system that would limit your play time daily, and of course, it's online only... The pvp i have not done yet but you can very easily whale out and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars it would seem. I do not know yet how they would split pvp... whales vs other whales or everyone vs everyone. But you can definitely get a huge advantage depending on how much you want to spend

Its just a very abusable format, and while I understand the company needs to make money, but I'd much rather buy a full priced game than touch anything gacha related. Ill try the single player campaign to see if its good if enough on ite own, but im very skeptical. The whole stamina system and multiple currencies to use on every system is also highly suspect.
No worries and that is completely understandable. I never had any real issues with the single player part in terms of gacha. I can see why people would dislike it but at the same time its also not forcing you to input your credit card or spend money. The final product could change but the PR team, and what I experienced so far, it doesn't seem bad. I'll never force anyone watching to go out and buy something.
The portrait illustration of characters seems underwhelming compared to the amazing pixel models. I feel like something similar to the the new star ocean 2 portrait illustrations would fit the vibe of this game rather than those portraits. Games should stay away from ai looking illustrations especially if it has a gacha mechanic.
I mean aesthetic and looks are to each their own. I've seen some AI art and I want to say this doesn't really look like AI art to me. It looks a lot nicer. But the development would have to come out and say it themselves.
As where it stands I wouldn't worry too much from the single player, things could change later down the line but the development and PR team are very nice and quite responsive so I'm not quite sure if they will pull fast ones on us tbh
Doesn't matter, Gacha means automatically it's a bad game. It doesn't even hide it's a gacha with the UI resembling every gacha game ever. The art also looked like they were drawn by AI with lacking any kind of unique style. I would still rate Brigandine Runersia (which was considered disappointing) better than this thing.
As for where it stands currently, I wouldn't worry about the gacha for the single player part. If you want to be hardcore in multiplayer then I would have my doubts and worries or if they end service to the game.
Oh yes, keep this up! Shut it down and know everything before you even try a free demo with zero capability of spending money so you could ACTUALLY know something experientially. Yes, keep this up as that approach to life will serve you extremely well!

If you find it too easy you don't have to play it. Only the demo is up so the real game could be harder
