Why haven't we seen Rodrick Pleasant? Has he even played this season? We heard during fall camp that he was progressing. His speed alone could help the Ducks. I would throw him out there and let him guard JJ Smith 1-on-1. Put Jabbar on Egbuka.
I hope you’re kidding. You don’t just throw a redshirt freshman with little to no game experience out there against one of the best receivers in the country, with a big size advantage. You need experienced players in these big games. Rod will be great, but this isn’t the game to throw him in the fire. Kam Alexander would probably be the next in line im assuming. Rod also missed a lot of the offseason because he was running on the track team.
@@KFBALL247 Experience isn't enough sometimes. Despite some key injuries, Oregon's CBs no matter how experienced, they couldn't keep up with Odunze in both games last season. Pleasant is raw but could be a game changer. His closing speed could make up for a lot of his mistakes and pose matchup nightmares for a lot of offenses.

You don’t just throw out a redshirt freshman 5’9 175 lb corner with basically no big game experience to cover a 6’3 215 lb freak of nature. Especially since he missed some of the offseason. If he was the best available corner and they thought he could do better than the seniors that are starting, he would already be out there. Honestly I don’t even know where Rod is on the depth chart. His time will come though, he’s a great athlete and player, just won’t be this weekend.
