- This large wood carving was created with assorted power tools by hand from a large Birch Wood trunk with the assistance of the lathe. This piece features extensive spalting throughout the wood grave. The natural bark has been preserved throughout the live/natural edge of the piece that has been carved with 3 large "folds". Finished with Teak oil. This irregularly shaped piece is 24 inches across and 15 inches tall and weighs 15 pounds.

- Grinder Sanding Disks: (amzn.to/3cj91Rv), fantastic for sanding and minor-moderate shaping stages

Speaking of trolls, people were criticizing someone for doing over grown yards on his own time for free. They couldn't see this man's altruism as helping the elderly or folks who just don't have money to pay someone to do it. Fantastic work! I wish I could buy it.

Very Very Very nice Once again Dan and you made me laugh about the humidity it also reminder me of the day I landed in Winnipeg. I had left England it was raining and 48 degrees F and when i stepped off the plane in Winnipeg it was -42 degrees. lol

Have you tried fine line tape - used to mask curves when painting cars to mark your lines? You can get it in narrow widths to make it easy to go around curves.

How do you keep the center from cracking as it dries?
Leave it really thick.... you can also treat it with a sealant or paint it...
Will the bark remain intact over time or will it fall off at some point?
The bark was heavily super glued and then soaked in Teak Oil... it should last forever...
