    Had the same problem, after the doorbell working flawlessly for 6 months. I reset the batteries, and that worked...until the next morning when that doorbell-cam was again off line. I measured the voltage of the batteries. Each was over 1.5 volts, but I replaced both with new batteries of the same type. So far so good. Try turning down the sensitivity setting on that camera. Your batteries should last longer - less activity, less recordings, less communication with the sync module. My 2 cents...

    I have learned that Blink is no good. Went through 2 Blink Doorbells. I have 8 cameras and Blink cannot keep up, it only records one at a time and the whole system is busy until that camera is done. I started buying Alfred cameras and they do not have these issues. If there is motion you got live view immediately, not 3 minutes later. Blink no good.

      I had some similar issues as well, but with a wifi booster took care of the connection issue. As for the delay in the notifications, you can change it to notify immediately instead of after recording is complete in the Alexa app. I also ended up having this doorbell finally kick it, but amazon sent me out the newest version under warranty at no charge.

    One of my batteries was near 0, the other 1.5v and the red light was blinking. Didn't expect there to be a indicator light with dead batteries, but now we all know. I put in a AA NiMh 1.3v and it works temporarily.

    Having same issue... it is only two weeks old. I don't think it is WiFi related because it worked flawless until today, and it should theoretically reconnect itself. I also don't think it's batteries as its only two weeks old. I wish there was an easier way to reset it than having to take it off... Also, does the app ever say the batteries are low before it dies?

    • @BusyBeeLiving
      @BusyBeeLiving  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes the app will show estimated battery levels. If it’s that new though call the tech line. I ended up having this happen again a little while later and they walked through the steps and determined it was an issue with the unit and sent a new one out under warranty.

    Mine is hardwired. It doesn't go offline, but it stops working. When I first installed it (hardwired), it rang the inside bell, but said the voltage was too low. It stopped working completely. I upgraded the voltage transformer. It worked on the first ring, then nothing. I tried the reset by removing the batteries. Again, it worked on the first ring, then nothing. When I remove the camera from the hard wiring, it will work on just batteries (just not when it's touching the hardwire contact points.) Any ideas what might be causing the problem? I also had to bend out the contact points on the camera.

    My father-in-law is having an issue where his b
    Blink camera will go offline for several hours in the middle of the night (when he actually wants it to serve as eyes as movement around the exterior of his home. I have reset it and we moved the sync module closer to the particular camera. It works for a time then goes back to the same behavior. I am wondering if upgrading to a mesh wifi system would help in keeping a more consistent signal to the this camera which is over his garage and driveway. The camera is currently 30" from the module with two walls between the location of the module and the camera. I have not had this particular issue with my own Blink cameras, so I can't replicate the issue. Any suggestions?

    So I have a question about the Blink doorbell. Does the old indoor chime ring every time you press the button on the Blink? I want to fit one for someone with a hearing problem and callers often need to ring more than once. She has an Echo Show 5 but no smart phone. We tried with a Ring Wired, but when you press the doorbell button it sounded the Ring Chime but wouldn't "re-arm" for a minute so the chime wouldn't re-sound and after a minute the visitor has given up and left. Thanks.

    • @BusyBeeLiving
      @BusyBeeLiving  2 года назад

      You can increase the volume setting for the chime, and also in my house I have added echo dots in our master bedroom and basement that also announce when someone is at the door and we are to far away to hear it. So you could add those to common areas she is at to help her hear it.

      @@BusyBeeLiving Thanks, and apologies for hijacking your video! But my question is "Does the existing mechanical chime go off EVERY TIME you press the doorbell button?". On a Ring doorbell this is not the case; it's locked out for around a minute after the first press.
