Hey Neil! I like your videos a lot. I just wanted to comment that in addition to what you recommend saying for the last sentence (I invite you.), you may also say something like: My treat. or Don't worry, my treat (today). Something along those line with 'treat.'
Just ask for the cocktail menu. maybe say something like "could we have the cocktail menu?" although I'm not too sure what a cocktail menu is. Since I'm learning German, I know how difficult it is to learn another language. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
Thaifun61 Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad the video is helpful for you. You would normally ask for a wine list e.g. "Could I have the wine list?" and perhaps a cocktail menu, as random canadian writes below. Sorry for the late reply by the way. I've been very busy. Thanks again for watching the video.
random canadian I guess it's not so typical, but a cocktail menu is like a wine list, a list of the cocktails a bar or restaurant may serve. Thanks a lot for answering Thaifun 61's question. Hope your German classes are going well.
+smoothie nEw1999 Hey, thanks for the question. Sorry for taking a few days to answer. Yes, it's also possible to say that. Maybe in a situation like this: e.g A: Do you eat meat? B: I sometimes eat meat, but I prefer fish. A: I don't eat any meat. (or I never eat meat). Hope this helps.
flesh being the stuff between the skin and the bone is the same in german, flesh and fleisch have the same meaning, it's just to say that the English say meat for food instead of flesh

Hi masterofwords40. Exactly, "Its my treat." or similar would also be correct. Thanks a lot for watching and commenting.
2 und 5 kannte ich noch nicht. Besten Dank für die Erklärung! :-D
+Samshaira You're welcome. I'm happy you learned something new.
Thank you for mentioning fishes. I have always wondered if fish has a plural form. Now I know. Thanks
Hey, no problem at all. You're welcome. I'm happy that you now that know. If you have other ideas for video topics, just let me know.
Thank you very much for this helpful video. There is one question left. What I have to say when i want the cocktail list/card?
