Well this certainly looks more promising than the first trailer. Her new powers have grown on me a bit, i'm kind of excited to see what they do with her powers and how much potential they have. Some people are saying she'll still be able to do some stuff she does in the comics, so that also eases my worries a bit, really hope this story has depth to it, Ms. Marvel deserves it.
I sure hope they don't retcon these new powers into the comics. The way the comics take stuff from adaptations like the MCU worries me.

The problem with the powers isn’t that she can’t do the same things. Her original powers were meant to make her an outcast and have her learn to except herself but with a bangle that she can take on and off that can’t happen

In India/Pakistan, we have culture of wearing bangles, so we usually refer to them as bangles, even though bangles do not usually have a clasp closure while that one does. It must be some family heirloom. Maybe it has terrigen crystals.

Unlikely to be filled with terrigen crystals. They've pretty much ruined/retconned her Inhuman origins. Most likely it's one of the negabands that gave Mar-vell his powers to be the first Captain Marvel. Although that was never showcased in the Captain Marvel movie, one of the many problems with that movie.
While I'm still kinda sad they changed her powers, I'm glad to see they didn't change her character. She still screams fan-girl, and thats what I loved about her in the comics. She was just one of us fans, who had the power and will to do good just like her heroes, and that was always so inspirational to me when she first showed up.

@61k no she won't be an inhuman as in the comics ans her powers will come from the Nega Band that, in the comics, are the bracelets that used to give powers to Mar-Vell, the original Captain Marvel. Her powers in the MCU will be similar to the ones of the Green Lanterns from DC comics
If you looked at 0:18 - 0:20 it looks like her legs are stretchy is that maybe the last episode where she got her comic powers?

I already like her character a lot. She has this innocence and genuineness about being a hero and making a positive difference. She sees struggle and weight of acceptance and responsibility. Unlike Kate Bishop who bungles around ignoring orders by her idol Clint w/ massive arrogance and just does whatever she wants. Then later repeatedly admits to screwing up lol. Bring on Kamala Khan.
The Hawkeye show was more the Kate Bishop show. Also, I wish she had her comic book powers.

It's really good to know for Scott that even if he used to be pretty unknown even after doing good deeds in his own movies, after endgame he became an in-universe icon with millions of fans who appreciate him. This is what "you can start small and still be larger than life" truly means.

My anticipation for this show is that she somehow loses that device and gets exposed to Terrigen Mist. This show could help introduce the Inhumans in the MCU again.

I actually love how, for the most part, Ant-Man was portrayed as unimportant throughout the MCU. Up until Endgame when he finds the way to ruin Thanos's conquest with the Quantum Realm.
It's really satisfying to see this publicity he has in-universe. Cassie would be so proud.

Me too, I love Ant-Man because even though he's earned his place as an Avenger and well-known hero, at the end of the day he's just an ordinary man wanting to do right by the people he loves, particularly his daughter. And I'm very excited for next year's Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania to see how she gets to become a hero in her own right

The actor looks like having fun with the character, I hope she she gets to build an awesome character over time and get more screentime in the future entries of mcu, looks promising,
I just hope they don't make everything about race/religion, rather build a character based on her experiences, dreams, struggles, mistakes and slow ascension to the avenger level
From what I've seen, the actor's story mimics that of her character. It is quite funny and adorable at the same time.

I can't wait to meet Kamala Khan, I haven't seen her series yet and I'm already invested in her story and beginning of her MCU journey, I hope this series honors the best parts of the comics and also puts its own spin and personality on it. Just as Marvel Studios did great, great things for Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the MCU, we all want for Iman Vellani's Ms. Marvel

From Iron Man and Captain America, to iCarly with superpowers. Only heading downhill from here. Recently watched Civil War and Winter Soldier the other day, crazy how things have changed
For me, it all ended after phase 3. Too much unexplained magic now and significantly overpowered. I'm just sticking to the original avengers and guardians of the galaxy group.
If anyone here still questioning or complaining about her powers, just so y’all know that they aren't really changing, She will still grow and expand like in the comics, the only thing that is changing is just her inhuman origin and her golden bracelet’s energy will absorb in her body and it’s how she gets her classic powers and also give her much more abilities, Also her having cosmic powers will match her up perfectly when she teams up with Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau

@Robert Monroe I don't think it would be necessary to recast Brie. I hope all the dislikable qualities has been from nerves, and that she will be liked in the near future, because she is definitely here to stay in the MCU.
Ms. Marvel could be a nice responsibility to keep Captain Marvel grounded.

The world definitely has a way of making people feel small.
Especially young women who are trying to make it in the entertainment industry, by premiering in a new addition to an established cinematic, (or literary,) universe.
Here's hoping that the inevitable hate and vitriol for this particular character, coming from _that_ specific area of the fandom, doesn't land as squarely on this young actor herself, personally, as it has done to so many others before her, up until now.
(Up to and even including the other most recent series on Disney+, Obi-Wan Kenobi.)
Or, that those in that usually more vocal minority are this time more sufficiently drowned out, by everybody else. (those who know how to make such distinctions, between fictional characters and the actors portraying them, for example.)

This is one of the shows I'm most expecting since a long time ago, I'm really excited to watch it! I still don't dig her power change (I feel they made up a huge part of her character in the comics) but the story, cast and style looks really promising either way, can't wait!!

This is going to be another fresh series centred around a teenager. People say this is going to be awful as it diverts from the comics but everytime Marvel tries something new, it becomes a great success(Gotg,Thor Ragnarok for example)
