It symbolically represent humans as well. The Organ needs to breathe in order to function just as we do. It grasps onto air with all it's might hence the phrase "pulling out all stops". It's both a metaphor for Hope and Life..at least in this movie.

Theses past few months have been all that i could have wished for them to be man. I have come to understand that life is more than a journey. It is meant to be lived every moment and not just in moments, waiting for the journey to end. I have accepted death as a part of life. And i treat it as a friend, not fearfully. I suffer from Bipolar and for a long time it became really hard to distinguish delusions from dreams. But i built myself from the ground up and reconstructed my ambitions. Now i am on the path to greatness because i choose to rage against the dying of the light. And until my words fork lightning, i shall not rest.

jean bom It was going to be directed by Spielberg, but Jonathan Nolan was the one writting the script, based on ideas by physicist Kip Thorne. Then Christopher Nolan replaced Spielberg, and made significant contributions to the script (as mentioned in Thorne's book), not to mention actually directing the movie.
So Spielberg really had no real participation in the final product.

What's up everyone! I noticed a few of you are commenting how the organ is amazing in this video. So I used the original "No Time For Caution" track without editing it. BUT as soon as 2:31 kicks in, I used an audio-editing program called Audacity. From 2:31 and on, I used the "Echo" effect to give the organ a much more WOW tone to it. Oh, and Audacity is also the same program I used to splice the Poem scene with "No Time For Caution" in the beginning :)

+Mahooni Gooner I would say humanity but yeah :) In our (polish) poetry we have one quite nice poem about this topic. It's "Piosenka o końcu świata"and it stands for "Song on end of the world". It's about end of the world by mean- end of life cause "innego końca świata nie będzie"- "there will not be any other end of the world". For every of us there will not be any other end apart of our lifes end. "Panta Rhei" like said Heraclitus ;) Greetings from eastern Poland ! ;)
