I was just accepted into UH Mānoa and I’m really excited!! Now I’m trying to do lots of research to figure out which school would best fit my needs. This video was really thorough and informative, thank you so much!!
You get your own bathroom, sink, and shower and don’t have to share it with anyone and you get that really spacious desk? That sounds so incredible, oh my gosh! Wow.
No you definitely have to share haha. It just depends on if the bathrooms are taken when you want to use them or not. They are just more individual than some other communal bathrooms I have seen.
Wow, thank you for this. Yes please next time please show some more of the beautiful campus living and maybe some of the activities that can be done. Because we too are in FL & my daughter is wanting to go to UH, but not sure if she can handle being so far away from home.

I'm also from Florida and looking to attend UHM in the future! I've done the research but I was wondering for you personally, did you receive or know of anyone who received scholarships to attend? Out of state tuition is much higher than in state for UHM and if I don't stay in Florida I lose the Bright Futures Scholarship which I'm sure you've heard of, which stresses me out slightly because I would love to attend but I can't afford to pay off tuition without scholarships. Just wondering if you have any info about that!
I wish I had better news, but unfortunately I did not receive any scholarships, there are very few available for east-coast students. I know this is a hard decision, especially when bright futures is so good.

they are kind of hard to move but not impossible. you are not supposed to use the other side because they could charge you for using the extra space but almost everyone did anyways. They arent doing room checks because of covid so that made it easier. Just keep it lowkey
hey I am recently looking to study marine biology at a school and my dream is to take the risk and go to Hawaii my question is was it worth it? is it hard living over there by yourself? would you say this is a really good school? and do you like it In your school?
There is so so so much to consider when coming here but marine bio here is top-notch. The cost of living here is massive but if you have a job and can budget your money you should be okay. The school quality really depends on the teacher you get, there are better places to get an education, but the marine bio program at uh is one of the best. I personally, wouldn't change my decision for the world but its all up to you and what your gut is telling you.
I’m from California and just got accepted, I’m worried about going and not making any friends bc of Covid. Like is it still possible or are there like not a lot of people on campus ?
I think it is. there are a lot of people in the dorms or in apartments close to campus. I had a lot of people reach out to me via social media so that is how I ended up meeting most of my friends.
Hey there I would be happy if you can help, I have been accepted by the university as freshman but I haven’t received my acceptance letter in full, can you share yours?
Hi! Thank you for this video it was very useful! Is there any place that has measurements for the shelves or closet space so we know what baskets to get? Also, do you have tips for shipping your stuff or what to buy when you get there? Thank you!
The target storage bins and the basic ones that will fit. I wouldn't ship a ton if you come over because it does get expensive and the standard shipping boxes cannot fit much. I just had to leave a lot of stuff at home, you really don't need as much as you think you do. You kind of just accumulate stuff here over time and anything you realize you need, then I just went and bought it if it was a necessity.
Hi! You mentioned you were molecular bio major! I’m currently a freshman biology pre-med major looking to transfer to UH! How would you say the biology department is? Same with classes and courses?

you can't really apply for a single dorm unless you want to pay extra I think. This year we just got lucky because they aren't doing roomates with covid. In Frear hall however, they still have roomates this year but I know they have singles, it is just a lot more expensive
