I applied for this 2019 and I was wondering how is it there. I’m from California so it’s a big move but I think I really wanna do it. Do you get homesick? Is it a lot of fun? Do you meet a lot of people. Sorry I hve so many questions

katelyn vu : Defenetly NO I’m spanish which is in EUROPEEE and so so far away and I don’t feel home sick It’s loads of fun , I also made besties there defenetly worth it
hey i’m gonna be an incoming freshman next year at uh! i was wondering which tower you reccomend i request to be in? are there any differences or are they all the same ?
I want to come here in 2020 but I was wondering if you knew anything about off campus housing as I like to cook and have my own independent space or if there are any single dorms. Thank you for your time.
As a freshman, if you plan on doing on campus housing it's mandatory to dorm in the hale aloha towers. They're building new apartments down the street from campus called Hale Mahana, so by the time you come it should be open, if you don't want to live there, there's lots of other off campus housing available that are near the school. If you're not a freshman, we have on campus apartments (Hale Wainani & Hale Noelani). Frear hall has single dorm options, but they don't come with a personal kitchen. Hope this helps!
Hey Jadelyn! I am a future student at UH Manoa and have been assigned to Hale Aloha Ilima. I was wondering if the marble contact paper you used was not only easy to remove at the end of the year, but also didn't damage any of the furniture. I am thinking of doing the same. Thank you!
Yess it was easy to remove, and didn't damage any furniture at all. I used an adhesive remover to clean out any leftover residue in some areas. The remover I used is called "Goo Gone" and I bought it at target for about $5
How are you liking UH Manoa? I'm planning to apply next year and its one of my top choices, but I'm still a little hesitant being away from the mainland long term for the first time. Do you happen to have any advice? :)
I love it, I had an amazing freshmen year! My advice would be to make a lot of friends during the first week of school, attend all the events they provide. Everyone is new and experiencing the exact same thing as you are, so it's super easy to meet new people. Usually the people you first meet are the ones you hang out with throughout college and having a good group of friends really helps with getting over homesickness. (:
I bought 2 rolls but it was kinda difficult because I was running out and I only could cover the visible areas of the shelf. I think 3 is good but if you do end up buying 2 like me, you might have to use the left over scraps.
Yess it's mandatory for all freshmen to be in the freshmen dorms, I think there's an exception if they reach capacity, some freshmen end up dorming in gateway.
Hello! I am going to be an incoming freshman and am in the process of filling out my housing application. I haven't been able to find much information about the individual dorms and was wondering if you have any advice on which one to chose as my first option? Would you recommend the dorms that you are in or another freshman tower? Thanks!
I would personally recommend Lehua, just because they have a good view and it's a little taller than the other towers from being on higher elevation, also all of our mail packages get sent there. Lokelani is closest to the market. Mokihana is usually known to have the most parties. I like Ilima mostly because we had the least amount of fire drills out of all the towers haha. A lot of your dorm experience really depends on the residents who live in your tower LOL. Hope this helps!
I'm not too sure but I think if you have bad allergies, housing may allow you to have an AC unit. There might be forms you have to fill out for it though.
All the freshmen towers are the same on the inside, but I personally think that Hale Lokelani and Lehua have the best view of the city and Diamond Head(:
just got accepted for the 2019-2020 school year!!
See you there!
i honestly feel so bad for u with your school year ending so early
@Kia Wallace congrats! 🌸💖🦋
Kia W. : CONGRATSSS 💅✨

Jadelynvlogz thank you so much! Quick question though that I forgot to ask: What jobs do you guys usually apply for?
We actually have a website where you can see all the available jobs on campus. If you search up "uh manoa sece" it should be the first link(:
Jadelynvlogz thank you 🙏🏽
I grad 2019 and gonna apply :) if we both get accepted let's be buds
my. dream. school.
Same.
marissa monique. It costs soo much for out of state. I need like 20 scholarships
Hey, do the two libraries have ac and the classrooms? Or the study rooms in the towers?
i love your dorm, but it looks so expensive 💖🌸🌹
How did you hang everything up? Is command strips allowed? How’d you hang the mirrors?
I used mostly command strips and hooks. For my mirrors I used removable wall putty, I think it was called Loctite Fun-Tak Mounting Putty Tabs (:
Thank u I will be moving in next year 😲
Whats the name of the song?!

Thank you so much!! This was really helpful :)
What is the room situation do you share a room with people? If so how many?
hi what is preferred laptop to bring for schoolwork? thanks
Hey, do you know how much does going to this school cost for foreign students? :)

@@Jadelynvlogz Thank you so much!! (:
hey i’m thinking about applying to UH Manoa ,, i am just wondering how many sororities they have?
Hey! There's currently 3 sororities on campus, Alpha Gamma Delta, Beta Beta Gamma & Phi Mu (:
Where did you buy the marble decal for your shelf?
Amazon.com(: Here's the link: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073DJH5MC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thank you! Also, how many did you buy to cover both shelves and your desk?
I bought 2 rolls but it was kinda difficult because I was running out and I only could cover the visible areas of the shelf. I think 3 is good but if you do end up buying 2 like me, you might have to use the left over scraps.
Is it mandatory for freshmen to stay in the freshmen dorms? Or can they apply for (ex. Gateway House)?
Yess it's mandatory for all freshmen to be in the freshmen dorms, I think there's an exception if they reach capacity, some freshmen end up dorming in gateway.

Does llima have an elevator?
Yes all of the freshmen towers have elevators
Are the dorm windows large enough for a small ac unit? I’ve hear before that the freshmen dorms are not air conditioned.
Unfortunately, AC units are actually not allowed in the freshmen dorms
Can u sneak a portable ac unit in?
I'm not too sure but I think if you have bad allergies, housing may allow you to have an AC unit. There might be forms you have to fill out for it though.
Jadelynvlogz was there anyone with a unit that you know of?
@@defectahz6399 Nope
I wonder if the dormitories have air conditioning
Frear Hall and Hale Anuenue have AC!
@@Jadelynvlogz So your room didn’t have one?
@@zytrik1 nope :(
Have you seen what the other towers are like on the inside? Is Ilima better?
All the freshmen towers are the same on the inside, but I personally think that Hale Lokelani and Lehua have the best view of the city and Diamond Head(:
Is it expensive ??
I think the freshmen dorms are the cheapest out of all the dorms on campus
God I wanna go so bad
