      Cristian Proust There is a ton of truths there but trust me regardless of your personality archetype, most people will end up as a mediocre or lackluster versions of their ideals. We as ENTPs often have the talents and intellect to succeed but the hardest currency to obtain for any archetypes is the proper motivation and these motivations are affected by countless environmental factors that are out of our control. Ofc not everything is unchangeable but not everyone is born with the spine to make it to the top. Delusions of grandiose is not a remedy to passivity and mediocrity, don’t get lost in your own thoughts, get back down to Earth. You can see and judge the flaws within yourself and society without developing any type of unproductive hateful feelings like what you are displaying.

    Don't forget us female ENTPs only make up about 1% of the 4% of type. Comedy is also a big draw for us quick witted types that excel at improv. I kept a line of dozen people amused at the bank today while we were waiting and waiting. I love taking the floor and making people laugh and also love taking a social experiment approach to see who will play into my hand. Nothing energizes me more or makes me happier than people that can PLAY with me!

      No wonder I have a hard time talking one on one to almost all women. As an entrepreneur for the last thirty years, I have only met a couple of women who could actually keep up to me in a conversation, and not that many more men. But like you, I can entertain a group of people to the max and I continue speaking to groups as large as a few hundred about my lifetime passion for natural foods and their benefit to vibrant health. My first career for ten years was as a high school teacher when I has just turned 22 and although I'm barely five feet tall, I could engage the interest of thirty plus grade twelve students only 4 or 5 years younger with no problem. In tests that are supposed to determine whether your brain is female or male, my results always turn out to be overwhelmingly male. With one exception, my closest friends have always been male, and when in a new group of men and women, within minutes, I'm having conversations with the men while the women small talk. Coming from a small rural area makes it that much harder to find like-minded people.

      @@BluesGirlBabe Yep, it can be a lonely journey for us ENTP women in a world dominated by sensor/judger types. I think gender has less to do with finding like minded others than personality type. Any intuitive, male or female, will be an engaging conversationalist for the most part. I am swimming in a sea of sensors in my work and acquaintances but thank god I have one ENTJ female friend that shares my natural curiosity, creativity and love of knowledge and also possesses a stellar sense of humor. Luckily for us ENTPs we can keep ourselves amused quite easily if quality interactions with others are limited, though we would prefer to have engaging interactions with like minded others whenever possible.

      @@_VISION. I took the official MBTI 2x for work (first time cold not really knowing about MBTI). Myself, I more so research to the hilt, build things with a vengeance, and then get bored and move on to the next exciting idea. That is out of the thousand ideas I have going on at once that I do nothing with. I reference the INTP here because I work with 2 of them and have had extensive conversations on ideas / possibilities / hopes / dreams type stuff. They have them, are smart AF, but in my observation and opinion have even less follow through. Their high accuracy factor is in tact and are quick to judge any situation or person. However, they could stand to turn a little of that introspection and gaveling unto themselves. They can dictate perfection, but fall short of modeling it. I deal with the fallout and it can be exhausting sometimes. But it still keeps life interesting. I may be misreading type(s) or function to a degree, but my experience fits.

Still, my dream job is to do journalism, songwriting or creative writing, because I’ve found writing to be one of the few things I can keep consistent in my life. Although it's not my only career, writing has been a huge part of both my major careers - first as a high school English teacher, and later as a columnist writing on healthy living topics which later were revised into a book used as a charity fundraiser for support groups with health issues such as diabetes and M.S. When I didn't continue my column because of too many hours required running my business, I had many people tell me that they looked forward to it every week and really missed it. My two grandchildren live a couple days drive away so six years ago I started a bi-monthly letter writing program with them from the time they were in kindergarten and we continue it to this day. It's an amazing way to stay connected to grandchildren who live a great distance away, and their writing skills have improved in leaps and bounds. It's certainly on my to-do list to do much more writing as I get some semi-retirement hours from running my business. Truthfully I will never actually fully retire as I will find a plethora of interesting and productive activities to keep me from being bored. I'm sure that is the case with most ENTP.

    While I impulsively agree that small talk feel pointless, I try to use it to my advantage. I use small talk to judge people's willingingness to converse, understand their comprehension levels, see how they react to certain comments I make, etc. When I was younger I wouldn't talk to people unless I needed to, but now that I work in the construction field I use it to my advantage. If someone can't maintain a short conversation with me, then I know I can't trust them to complete a complicated task without me holding their hand the entire time. Weeding out the dumb people with "normal" small talk can save you a lot of time in the long run 👍🏻👍🏻

    • @BluesGirlBabe

      I absolutely noticed that "we are popular" and "not so popular." My first career was as a high school English teacher so my curse is that I constantly proofread the written word and silently (well usually not so silently) correct grammar in the spoken word. I think instead of the "not so popular" wording that he perhaps meant to say that the ENTP type is rare, seeing as it follows that we are only 3% of the general population. Then again he may have been referring to us being unpopular with those who can't win a debate against an ENTP seeing as he just said that our verbal sparring and quick wits enable us to stick it to others. To Freeda Lioness - it is not difficult to be me at all. I love who I am and how I think. It's easy to be myself. But I am 62 and I have had six decades of perfecting my craft! Just don't give a rat's ass what others think of you and it will become easier to be yourself. My prime example that I have grown into being comfortable with is that my husband's very large family is boring as hell to me and only capable of speaking in extreme small talk so I have learned to go to reunions and not care that no one talks to me. After 35 years, it just doesn't matter. It hurt my feelings years ago but no longer.

      @senorxcoldhands9671 5 лет назад

      BluesGirl this made me guffaw and smile so hard. You're my inspiration for sure. I hope to get to that point of not caring anymore. I'm in a similar situation where no one talks to me at social gatherings with friends because unfortunately I'm in a small town and my circle of friends make me want to grate my teeth against a gate...and I'm not really good at faking enthusiasm so, there we have it 😅
      Something funny is that I've experienced a shift in personality. When I was a freshman I was an ENFP, and that's when I met my friends. At the time they were tolerable, but when I got to my junior year I slowly transitioned to an ENTP...and sometimes find myself on the borderline depending on the day. But I know for a fact I'm ENTP and only gravitate to F because I've been accustomed to people pleasing all my life and am always haunted by it. But once I let a little of it go, the T started articulating itself. Not saying ENFPs are people pleasers but in my case I was one because of precisely that.

    Thank you for the information. I believe i'm a debater and well these videos are downright scary. I've lived my life (just turned 40) with this rage inside with words that people use wrong! And I always want to punish/retribution for wrongs or slights. Is that part of the entp-a or could that be from the something else. And yes I believe I or YOU can always do something BETTER!

    We also spend countless hours arguing over his ideas of how society should be. Because of the J in my personality I always ask how? How is it going to be implemented?! Tell me how? I need concrete plans to see it through.

    My notes:
    ENTP
    Likes to plan, analyze, then, reanalyze.
    Doesn't like small talk, but enjoys playing devil's advocate.
    A mental Superstar, they're curious, clever, and most of all innovative.

    They are easily bored.

    I just came from taking the test for a 5th time (I took it the first time in Freshman in college, the another time last year... A third last a few months ago... A fourth time YESTERDAY and TODAY a fifth time).
    First time done through career counceling with a psychologist
    1st time
    INTP-A
    however, my introvert and extrovert were very close - the scale showed a spectrum rather than a percentage. I was really close to the middle.
    2nd time
    INTP- A (53-47 on Introvert vs Extrovert
    3rd time
    ENTP-A
    This was quite a surprise at first...considering I have been getting INTP all along...
    Tecnically I consider it both because it was something around 51-49 on extrovert/Introvert
    4th time - INTP-A (57-43) I am an INTP once again.
    5th time - ENTP-A (57-43 ...ironically) I guess I am back to being an ENTP?
    Every day is a new day to learn! Amd considering the "reputation" of the Myers Briggs by psychologists not being as great, I am not too worried about my result.
    Anybody also got something similar to me or is it just me?

    I am busy reviewing the many MBTI presenters on RUclips. Thus far, my efforts have disappointed. A mature and experienced presenter's perspective is tortured by the amateurish pronouncements of youth. Unlike the authoritative voice of a RUclips presenter like Jordan Peterson, most of the other personality theory 'experts' fail to establish any credentials. How am I, an ENTP, to sort the wheat from the chaff?
    That being said, I congratulate you on a clear, concise, and professional presentation. It would be nice to know your MBTI type, sources, and motives up front. My critical thinking Ti always edits my enthusiastic Ne and Fe curiosity and empathy with the micro-analysis of my Si inferior function. The introverted functions of my particular personality expression ask all the questions that my extraverted functions are blind to.
    Having no specific goals as part of my general inquiry of the MBTI RUclips universe, I am left to ponder the 'why' of its existence? Are these lessons merely vanity projects, or are they meant to be commercial? If you expect to make a living slinging 'bull,' then the sizzle needs to be as tasty as the steak. Vanity projects are annoying because they never really intend to let the audience in. There, I've scratched my critical itch just like the SOB my MBTI temperament predicts. Thanks for being caught in the grip of my gripe. I hope it was as good for you as it was for me. Reciprocity is the root of all empathy.

Then i read futher about what separates turbulent debaters and assertive debaters, and it said "turbulent debators are more prone to negative self perception than their assertive counterparts" i found that interesting because of my initial reaction :D
    ENTPs are a recipe for disasters good thing we are only 3% of the world's population.

    1."understand other people"-not other just people , everything in theyr interest area ;
    2. "stick it to others" - No!At least not on purpose (Although it might look like that from others points of view , sometimes );
    3. We don't argue (a common misconception) we discus ; the truth or at least the point of view we are exploring(if it is subjective it must be stated and acknoleged) is more important than "who wins"(I never could get behind the "ego wanking" atitude alot of people have towards having the last word).
