What about Antonio Banderas? Put him on the title!

There seems to be a body language from Gary Oldman to mark himslelf as a alpha male over Banderas... I find it quite embarrassing as I respect both as actors and now I find the main inspiration of Tom Hardy to be demeaning.

My 'The Laundromat' movie review: This is a brilliantly told story! Educational, insightful and informative. The story telling is top notch! They've taken a topic that could be a bit dry, and turned it into an enjoyable ride! The acting is wonderfully quaint, and at the same time enormous and fun! Personally, I love Oldman's acting style. This movie further cements Soderbergh's place, along the all-time greats.

I really enjoyed this movie. Meryl of course is just perfect in her role. There is a hilarious dream scene with her that was totally unexpected.

I have never seen Gary & Meryl working together, and even more in a Netflix's movie. As I can see, it looks an interesting movie, now I'm wondering, is Laundromat a good movie to watch?

    " The Laundromat "
It's a movie, which feels like a really likable informational video about insurance fraud and tricky money schemes... Lol... Antonio Banderas and Gary Oldman are just so much fun to watch!!! It's a delightful film! Based on a true story, as well, about the Panama Papers.
For me, this beats other movies nominated for movie awards. It's an artwork, turning a boring subject into pure fun, with a unique way to tell a story and make a point as well. The characters have their ups and downs, as well. It's a Steven Soderbergh project (I had thought he retired, so glad he didn't!) and his style lifts the story and turns it into an enjoyable ride that you want to be on.
Okay, I have nothing against "Parasite", but with all the English speaking great movies this year, why did this win so much at the Oscars? It had good directing, good acting and good camera work -- but I just didn't really care about the story that much. I wanted the movie to succeed (for me) by having the characters strike a deal with each other, or reconcile and make an agreement of some kind that brings The 'human experience' to a higher level. But, instead, we got madness, chaos and murder. Wtf? I felt this was a complete cop-out. I'm guessing that this movie may have a more relevant sense to it, culturally, if you are actually from South Korea. Because it seems to represent a reality, there, that could be worth evaluating more deeply. I thought this was an average movie, because of the story. 5 out of 10.

That's just smart money management...Notice how the end blurb was about the taxes not being paid by the giant corporations? That is an attempt to show them in a bad light...It's also bullshit...Some of those large companies have 300,000 employees or more.....Multiply that by the 60, then add the 30% the gov, via the IRS a proxy for the IMF, a proxy for the World Bank, a proxy for the Crown Corp steals from their paychecks every week...It's all a scam....LOL...

the funny thing...i bet the majority of big stars in hollywood use tax heavens as described in the movie. Probably even some of those seating there on that sofa.

This is why MMT is so important because it re-establishes fiscal policy for public purpose and restores the power of the nation-state. This second fascist takeover plans to completely eliminate the whole democratic political apparatus (very close to achieving it now), buy up cities, remove nations, borders, citizenship, human rights and environmental protections.
"In a libertarian society, there is no commons or public space. There are property lines, not borders. When it comes to real property and physical movement across such real property, there are owners, guests, licensees, business invitees and trespassers - not legal and illegal immigrants.”
~ Jeff Deist, president of the Mises Institute
"Only, this time, it’s called instead by such names as “libertarianism” or “neoliberalism,” no longer “fascism,” so that only the true-believing fascists, the aristocrats, will even know that it’s actually fascism. It’s their Big Con. It’s their Big Lie."
    off-guardian.org/2019/01/28/privatization-is-at-the-core-of-facsism/
This upsurge was a reaction to the "Crisis of Democracy" in the 60's decade when our strong middle class became a powerful political force. It was then decided to decimate middle classes worldwide so that the masses would instead be focused on self-preservation rather than on social issues.... which hasn't worked. The world is more politically engaged than ever.

Great movie...Sadly; there are, and will remain two types of people...The Mark ( nearly everyone) and The Con...(The cunning and remorseless) There is a third type too; One that stays away from both...Be the third type. Meryl Steep's final words about the eminent "Sever instability, might be just around the corner" Is not prescience...It's the script she reads to inform those with their eyes open that shit is about to hit the fan and it's the faceless "greedy" evil money people to blame...Good luck finding them. ... Her other statement about "Democracy's checks and balances, have failed" was hilarious! That shit totally failed in late December 1913...But despite all the upcoming shit; we'll collectively persevere,...
