This video immensely moved me. I'm secretly hindu and my neighbors are judgemental. So every year for a famous Shiva temples jatra, Manjunatha (Shiva) is brought out on a Palanquin and He passes by the main road just a small distance from my house. I always wait to hear the sound of the musical instruments and I always look out from the window. I hear all the sounds as the aarti is conducted for Him at a nearby mandap. I keep waiting until his Palanquin has gone back to the temple and I can't hear the music anymore. Thank you for this video. May you be blessed always 💖

Secondly it's a secret because I'll be ostracized from my locality which will make things difficult for my parents. I ofcourse don't care about what my neighbours think. Once I move out I'll be able to do pooja how I want to practice my faith how I want. I'm from India itself but you know how people and their judgement is, that's why it's a secret. @@alexanderyiza Yes precisely! Shiva is up to our personal understanding of him. Astha Singh above said that Shiva is beyond gender which also makes sense. Sometimes I suddenly call him 'Amma' by mistake when I pray to him!

Amazing! How modern can classical dance be !? However, this is no longer just a dance, but a completely independent short film. The girl hears the distant sounds of a passing procession, she waits, she hopes, fantasizes. The sounds subside, the procession departs and the girl returns to her world. Her world is behind this beautiful door. The viewer wants to know her world. He must be just as handsome. There is no gilding, but there is love. Love is the dignity of the loving person himself, and not the one he loves. Great movie. I am glad that I have the opportunity to watch your work! With gratitude from Russia 😍!!!

Nayika I think can be compared to Vasakasajja naayika here, represented so beautifully. She is constantly engrossed with a still thought .."waiting for the Lord Nataraja" but this still thought had varied expressions compared to the slow yet beautiful tone of the music... She held her expressions very beautifully, till the end of each curve in the tone of the music and sometimes, till it was required, not to make it boring and yet look meaningful....it might have needed an immense practice and polish of Abhinaya to bring out to the public so delicately, yet boldly in expressing her adorations to admiring imaginations of her Lord. From the eager footsteps, to frolic giggles, to variations in blinking of eyes, to twitching eyebrows and lips in accordance to the flow of the day (of continuous wait) where she convinces herself positively about his arrival, adjusting the saree and innocently holding of pleats sometimes in excitement to lastly in disappointment, to the retreating footsteps to home when she decided to call her "wait" a day... it was all worth watching.. very beautifully danced to it, with a single prop (a door) and rest she danced as a natural Vasakasajja (according to me)..she didn't overtly express her remorse at the end, just to highlight the 'eagerness to see him' part of it. It is beautifully filmed as well. Kudos to the entire team. Love, Respect, Admiration for such dedication

Wow, it’s like your entire being is dancing, each part of face, your glances, smile , movement of eyebrow , your turn of and the neck movement. My daughter is 16 she has completed her 8 years of dance last year and she has this in her course. Though I Do not know the language but am familiar with the piece, so beautifully done wow. Words are not enough to express this divine dance of yours. Just perfect❤️ And the way you choose your surroundings to dance is just amazing , your entry from that beautiful door and the videography everything is just amazing 😍

Success of classical dance or for that matter any dance is how easily can the viewer understand it? This performance is one of those where the story is so clearly understood. What is beautiful is that till the end one feels that her lover is coming to meet her and then in the end one realizes that so much excitement, eagerness has been just for a glimpse of him when he passes by.... Pure.....
