'Crank up the volume' and get 'so carried away that I can't make critical comparisons'. That's the real power of a great recording, and the magic that got me into records as a 12 year-old in '67. Great video. One of my all-time favourite live rock albums back in the day - generally also pretty inexpensive - was Jefferson Airplane's 'Bless It's Little Pointed Little Head'.
Nice video. Very informative and entertaining. Will be nice to see a second part with (for example) Genesis Live + EL&P Welcome back my friends + King Crimson USA ..
Thank you for incorporating bookmarks into all of your videos. I may not watch them all from start to finish, but I get exactly what I need with your pin points.
Great stuff! My experience in the 60s with live albums was a bummer. Happy to see so many success stories with classic bands live. I also see great results in half-speed mastering from Abbey Road Studios with the Rough Mix LP, by, Pete Townshend and Ronnie Lane. Cheers
Very interesting! I like a lot your quiet and friendly way of showing lovely records and speakimg abour them: well done! So thanks once again, and I'll keep on following you. Warm regards Luigi (from sunny Italy)
I Also got the Peter Gabriel, For me it's the best Peter Gabriel album ever. I got it the same month it came out, I also did get the Genesis Live three years ago even though I thought it would be crap as most of these Abbey Road remasters are I.E. Who's Next sound apparently terrible. but it was a nice surprise and sounds very good. The Who live at Leeds I have a Japanese pressing, its a bit battered but plays, I thing the normal is a bit short, also seen the 3 LP but crzy prices. Alchemy is the one with the amp hum for about 10 seconds. Also a great album.. Difficult for me getting septic pressing like German or UK because living it rural Thailand since 6 years, I don't trust eBay or discos because they a bunch of cheaters. ok thanks for the review. Best regards from Ban Nakha, 15km from the mighty Mekong. P.S. could be were getting Who's next as UHQR soon I heard, not sure if correct.
Valuable info. Thank you. A recent regret of mine was the RSD re-release of Mingus Trio as a double album including previously unreleased material. Played on a properly set-up t-table this is so sibilant as to be completely unlistenable. A horrible waste of money.
I bought Plays live from Acoustic Sounds as a "damaged cover" reissue LP. Sounds fantastic and came woth a 96/24 download. I have Paris on BluRay. I play the 2ch. audio track via my external DAC. Also sounds great. There's a condensed version on SACD that also sounds great. What is the best sounding LP version of Seconds Out. I agree with you about the sound quality. I'll get a copy of the Abbey Road Miles re-issue. Thank you. Get her Ya-Ya's Out I have on SACD. I ripped to DSD an OG US 1st pressing. Live At Leeds IS THE BEST LIVE LP of all time !!! I have the 25th Anniversary CD but in a full size repro LP case with all kinds of Tchotchke's inside.

Hello Vincente As always, very interesting and good reviews. On the Peter Gabriel Plays Live you said it was a German pressing. But all German pressings are labelled with a barcode! I've only found one pressing on Discogs where, like on your video, the cover has Stereo 812-445-1 at the top right on the back and Musikcasette etc. underneath, and on the label shown: 812 447 - 1 - B on the right and blank on the left. However, this is a Spanish one on Discogs and the only one of all the pressings with exactly the same details as on the video. Can you please check if the cover at the bottom reads Epitado por FONOGRAM. S.A. .... and at the end Madrid 1983? or do you have something else? Thank you and best regards Jürgen
Live at Leeds original album was from damaged tapes and I got accustomed to listening to it. The Cd version or digital vinyl is sacrilege. Also there is abenefit of any new scratches and pops fitting in😊
