Happy memories of superb nights at Monroe's Bar Workington and in Kendal - even joined the Band for a Pizza before the show. My next door neighbour was a very good friend of the group and when he eventually moved into his new home it was called 'Hamsters End'. Still have my 'Burnin' Vermin' T shirt to remind me too.
We see the hamsters over a 25 year period small venues and large they were absolutely brilliant especially with Hendrix/zz top tours there c/ds are pretty good to thank you Slim and the band for many rocking nights 😎🙂🙂👍
I grew up with ' Slim ' Barry Martin. Many a record session round our houses. He had the better collection. Played drums in the school band. Still see him .
Must have seen the hamsters well over 13 times - amazing live band - including when the band had bluetooth/wireless and Slim played a set at the Barnsley Cricket Club stood at the bar - Great night.
Oh and the time in Wakefield (England) where I had to sit next to the speaker stack and was deaf after for 3 weeks and possible caused my hearing issues today, but what a night!!!!!
@@thenortherner3890 I did that at a Gwyn Ashton gig at The Palladium Club in Bideford, still have tinnitus today, worth it though. Saw The Hamsters there as well, small place, really loud gigs.

These guys used to get into Monroe bar in workington in the 90s when I was an A level student. One of the better bands. Happy days
