That’s a nice stand of pole beans! Ours have been doing well since the 100 degree days have gone. I always plant some bush beans, just plugging them in here and there for a late fall harvest of fresh beans. But no doubt, pole beans are the staple crop. Great information here..thanks for the video

Thanks, Bill. The ones I planted last year were good but I think these are better. We had temperatures in the 90s, and high humidity now we're getting highs in the low 80s and lows in the 50s. This has been a crazy year. I hope you and your garden are doing great. Thanks for sharing.

Hey everybody, I was super nervous about how these were going to come out. I've never saved bean seeds before. So far, I couldn't be happier. Let me know what you think. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for this! I made the switch from bush beans to pole beans this year, for all the reasons you mentioned!

You're welcome. One of the reasons I made this video was if someone had told me the benefits of growing pole beans, I would have started growing them several years ago. I hope your garden is going well and thanks for watching.

Wow, these look amazing! Great points...I normally prefer bush beans, but am so thankful for our pole beans this year because too much rain killed the bush beans. And yes, picking bush beans are horrible on the back. ~ Cindy

You guys had enough rain to cover the entire plant. I like the pole beans because they give me extra time to can them, and you're right. My back doesn't like all the bending down. Thanks for watching.

I like in indiana. Near greenwood, indiana.
My first year for pole beans. I canned my first pints of beans.
    Love your video.

I think I’m going to use my luffa arch for pole beans next year. I usually only grow bush beans, and sow a few times a year.

That sounds like a great idea. I use 7 ft. posts, but by the time I drive them in the ground, I'm between 5 and 6 ft. It would be nice to have them a little taller. Thanks for sharing.
