My son turned me on to them. We went and saw GNR in Philly a few years back and Wolfmother opened up for them. I must say I was more than impressed with their live sound. It was incredible. To this day I still can hear how clear they were, how every instrument sounded great and how amazing that SG through a VOX amp sounded (that was his set up that day). Freakin awesome !!! Been to hundreds and hundreds of concerts in my 60+ years on this Earth and that bands sound is still in my head !!!
Still one of my favorite songs ever. People liked to talk shit about Wolfmother being derivative and a throwback or whatever but this has got its own flavor in spades, both in composition and production. Does Stockade vaguely sound like Robert Plant? Yeah. Do they have riffs? Yeah. Do their songs have simple structures? Yeah. But if those are deal breakers for you, then man, you've excluded yourself from the wealth of inventiveness this album had to offer.
Im 30 now ... for some reason i either always overheard this song and band, or somehow evaded it unkowingly but perfectly. As im listening to it now i realise its all ive been looking for in the past few months.
I have to learn this for school of rock and I’m sad :( I’ll update this when I know all the lyrics Edit: I know ALL the lyrics now! It’s such a fascinating song, I’m so glad that I got the chance to perform this song!
Que exquisito trabajo, la batería los riffs de guitarra, el sintetizador, la voz, el idioma y la letra, puff grandioso de verdad el trabajo que hicieron, los amo 🎼🎵🎶❤️✨
I first heard this in a skate video i DLed on limewire. Badass dude did a lot of downhill bombs and crazy urvan drop ins if i remember correctly. Good shit
A primeira vez que ouvi essa música foi em um filme de surf. Não fazia idéia, quem cantava, e o nome da música; só sei que achei muito o som muito irado
You know, I've watched this band cop quite a beating over the years. Some of it justified, most not. Listen to this song and let it blow your fucking head off! Stop judging and just enjoy it.😁✌️🍻
Definitely. I saw them live years ago, must have been around 2007. Enjoyed the show and bought the CD. Anyway, didn't really give it a proper listen until recently! Some great tunes with a retro feel to them, very loud bassy riffs. They should be bigger than what they actually are!
As if bringing more negativity to the world helps, nd i'm talking about your verbal abuse. "Be the change you wish to see in the world" - Gandhi . Peace and love
This album reminds me of Dire Straits' first album in terms of reception. Everyone knows that album for Sultans of Swing, even though all the other songs on it are great. Same goes for this album and Joker and the Thief...
We're all here for 4:10 - What a drop \m/ \m/
The entire first album is a masterpiece, sill one of my favourite albums.
This song is sick, this whole album just rocks. I saw them live in SF back in the days. BEST LIVE SHOW EVER.!!!!

@@shinya2104 I used to listen to the sword back in the day but I only ever liked two songs
@@fightsgiantrobots his voice got better as he released more albums. check out the song cloak of feathers'
SO WAS GUNS N ROSES.

I was about to write something similar..
Damn... My Husband had an awesome taste in music. ❤️✌️
I read this as likely he is your late husband. If that is the case, my prayers for you and his eternal rest.
Absolute amazing!! The drummer knocks this song out of the park! ✌️
I miss Wolfmother.
David McKean They’re still around and making great music dude
It ain't no Wolfmother, more like "The Andrew Stockdale Experiment". And their music is not what I call great.
Ich auch
David McKean um they still make music you know
@@glenn_lefer7767 It's not the same. Stockdale, Ross and Heskett were Wolfmother.
this music wouldn't be out of place in the seventies
I know right
4:10 love that guitar riff !!
My art teacher in high school played this in class once...I’ve been a fan ever since
Love these guys! What talent- this and Colossal are brilliant! The entire album is amazing!! ❤
In my opinion, this is their best song. After many years listening to it it still sends chills down my spine when the chorus kicks in.
I agree
Yeah kinda sad that Andrew Stockdale had to fuck it up with the other 2 guys
Holy shit this my first time ever hearing this god master piece you is not lying and i been dranking yo this is the mood right now at 4 am =3 weeepppp
@@ericamcfly6782 hell yeah

I can't get over how cool the singer is. He sounds like Robert Plant plus Ozzy Osbourne.
Best WOLFMOTHER SONG EVER
I love this song, my band is doing this for battle of the bands
India Paleg great choice then
Thank you Wolfmother : )
Wolf mothers best song! 😊
Amen to that
This is best listened through headphones

It’s wolfmother you absolute plonker
its a joke you absolute plummer
Haha hello plonkers
Damn racially stereotypical plumbers, they took our Lud Zappalyn!
Love
This song! Anyone agree it has some elements of Fooling Yourself by Styx? Some interesting similarities in chords and melody
i love the guitar phillosophy behind this, just move the D parttern around the neck. Simple but effective 🤣
led zeppelin and the doors...
Black Sabbath
I do not fully understand the music, but I understand how this song feel like...
Closest 2 led zep anyones ever goin 2 get these days :), but they hav there own identity and they r fukn awesome ✌
Julian cimmino Greta van fleet
I was gonna say the same thing thank you Ryan
Greta van fleet is a direct copy of Led Zep with young posers. Wolfmother still have their own sound.
Look for Wolfmother zeppelin covers, they can really pull it off.
Great
hmmm, ive never heard this song, and i just heard about this person or band yesterday, yet it sounds so familiar
@S2lookinthemirrorS2
Look up Scale the Summit. Lol. That was a short interlude.
Rip Shane Cross🤘🏼
Rip shane cross rip lewis marnell rip dylan rieder time to shine was the shit 🛹
A primeira vez que ouvi essa música foi em um filme de surf.
Não fazia idéia, quem cantava, e o nome da música; só sei que achei muito o som muito irado

Fuckin wow 👌
Zeppelin n Sabbath, there's my 2 cents worth.........
U love this song
Check out Iron Butterfly's IN-A-GADDA-DA-VIDA. Really lengthy & no impro.
yay comment nr 1 :D
xD green day are epic!!11/one! reminds me more of BVB :3
You know, I've watched this band cop quite a beating over the years. Some of it justified, most not. Listen to this song and let it blow your fucking head off! Stop judging and just enjoy it.😁✌️🍻
@WolfmotherSongs no im really not gonna (i dont know whats your problem)
Or dream theater, or gee symphonies?
isnt there two versions of most of these songs?
Song for the Vietnam vets heading over in a Huey to their LZ.......or the Young Guns surf flik that was sick
I still dont get mike pattons hate for this band.
@S2lookinthemirrorS2 or, for that matter, pink floyd!
@WolfmotherSongs Frank Zappa as well.
unicorn
unicorn
I drank to this on the apple river in front of my husband stripped naked and my tent had the name of my lover
BUENA ROLA PARA ESTAR EN TU CASA
Hardly. That is nothing compared to some bands with half hour long songs, much of it instrumental.
It's me or the lyrics is wrong?
Nah they wrong
Wolfmother is not as fruitful in terms of creativity as they used to be.
Who can tell me which past bandmembers need to reunite for an epic album?
Bitch please.
Atte: Dream Theater.
i have 1 paper and its all ripped up...
hmmm kinda reminds me of greenday maby cuz greenday is kickass to
...
...
This band sounds too much like Greta Van Fleet. 😄
I adore GretaVan Fleet AND Wolfmother, the elder ones. bu that compare is not ok. Booth bands have 70s roots ovbviiously.
Holy Shit. I haven't listened to Wolf Mother since 2009! I have only just acknowledged the true beauty of their songs, unlike my ignorant past-self.
Me2
Psychedelic poetry painted on a canvas of heavy and catchy riffs. Wolfmother is criminally underrated.
Definitely. I saw them live years ago, must have been around 2007. Enjoyed the show and bought the CD. Anyway, didn't really give it a proper listen until recently! Some great tunes with a retro feel to them, very loud bassy riffs. They should be bigger than what they actually are!
@@Joe-lu7mf same thing lol
Where the fuck the wolfmother are
i like this song a little too much.
You like this song the appropriate amount.
You are the white unicorn.
The entire band is amazing, the guitar is fierce, the singer is great , bass is deep, and holy fuck the drummer is a beast,
Midnight Marauder
Yes the drumming is very difficult, or that’s what I could imagine
The Drums is my part of this song
Yeah but Andrew Stockdale fucked it up so the other 2 guys left
My god this band should have been huge. Damn it, I hate when good bands break up.
They haven't broken up, as far as I know. They are one of the biggest, most successful rock bands ever. They're huge, trust me.
They are huge
Some Bands aren't on Mainstream... And thats Good coz only people with good taste in music would find them 🔥... Lucky to be one of em😉
Andrew, Chris & Myles...
Damn, I fuckin' miss them.
vh1 or are they gone daddy
As if bringing more negativity to the world helps, nd i'm talking about your verbal abuse. "Be the change you wish to see in the world" - Gandhi . Peace and love
One of the best rock songs in the past 20 years
Style of there own.
Damn, i havent listened to wolfmother since i was 12, now I am 18
Good memories!
*Andre * listened when I was 16, now 29 lol
@@jamongi1 U r older 😂😂
*Andre * great times. Glad younger people enjoy bands like this
Is he talking about that little girl from disposable me 😂

Oh hey, a Wolfmother song other than "Joker and The Thief" or "Woman"!
dude you need to hear Colossal , Caroline or New Moon Rising
COULD BE ONE OF THE BEST ROCK SONGS EVER.
We can live together...
Brilliant! Indestructible!
I'm making my wife get a tattoo of a white unicorn across her solder.
Come on, what about early greenday, before the american idiot album, I loved that shit :3 Though wolfmother is my favourite band :3
Play the song at 1.25x speed. You're welcome.
1.15x perfect
Only if I had someone special in my life who would love to listen to this song with me. 😔
@WolfmotherSongs or Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin (they had like 30 min impro >:D)
Have I been to the carnival?
I live there.
Get me off this fuckin' ride.
I'm listening to every damn song on this album! Because I roll like a black dude in spring chicken season. Thumbs up if you agree with me.
100%
Do you not like Led zeppelin?
and a sabbathy feel as well
The chorus to this song reminds me of Shape Of Things To Come by Audioslave
"Shapes of Things" the Yardbirds song?
Ever listen to RUSH?
DANIELlaroqustar best drummer in the world, most progressive, trendsetting band there has been, to date. How good is RUSH!
I love Rush with a strong and undying passion. Geddy Lee is god. And yes, I am a Canadian. : ) I really do love Rush, though.
