The Hoskote early morning biryani draws hundreds of faithful fans who wake up at an unearthly hour every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday to make the 40-km trek to queue up at biryani shops in this town just outside Bengaluru.
However, for those not completely in the know, some of the most commonly asked questions with respect to this long-standing biryani tradition are: What’s the fuss about the Hoskote biryani? Anand Mutton Biryani
The dominant flavours in this biryani are that of the fresh ingredients, the naati ginger, garlic, coriander,mint etc., followed by a veil of the aromatic spices. Every grain of rice is imbued with its flavours, and the meat is a combination of some soft, juicy pieces and some on the bone, that calls for a bit of effort to get to every bit of it, some fat included. The spicing is gentle and warm.

Mutton Biryani
The only dish made at Mani Dum Biryani, is unique in its aroma that is redolent of an amalgam of spices combined with meat. Each grain of the rice has absorbed the procession of spices that go into the pot and the fat that is rendered from the meat, this is the sort of biryani that leaves behind a spicy impression on the palate. You can taste the heat of green chillies, and the flavour of the secret spice mix that’s made in Mani’s home. Some of the meat is laced with fat that melts in the warmth of one’s mouth, some pieces though can have a bit of a bite. This is a spicy biryani, and the mosaru bhajji, onion and cucumber raitha helps cool things down.

I tried both Mani's & Anand dum biryani's and below are my personal ratings:
1) Anand Dum Biryani - 8/10
2) Mani's Dum Biryani - 9/10

Impeccable, unblemished, flawless, extraordinary presentation, cinematography is also exemplary, ofcourse Mr, kripal is fabulous in terms of narration, kudos to you and your team,you're the suhel seth of food industry.
A lot of Hoskote locals says Mani briyani is outstanding. But no comparison each stands unique.

Post lockdown 2020 I visited this place with help of this channel. Before that I could not get any proper suggestions from my friend circle. Now I almost completed 30-to 40 visit's. I like Mani dum biryani and RV dum biryani specially they serve in large bowl of mutton soups

Kripal, I have visited a few places that you have visited. I am not sure if the dishes taste as good as you explain it. In most eateries what welcomed us was the strong presence of dalda, odd odour of contaminated oil and unhygienic practices. These two biriyani centers hv serious issues with respect to minimum hygiene. I feel you are true to the taste of food when you taste the dishes at home. I can also understand the difficulty of being critical in the presence of the owner. You were lil critical only in one case. I also feel the vadas / idli of Veena, Dum biriyani of Anand/Mani don't deserve much praise. But, I understand the issues.
Aravind, we speak for the food as we taste it, without any bias or favours. We pay for all our meals and aren't obliged to praise or any such like. We give voice to the food that we are tasting. However, we also understand that everyone has a different palate, and everything doesn't appeal to everybody. The establishments that you mention here may not have endeared to you, but they have plenty of fans and patrons who would think otherwise. That's the beauty of food. Wrt hygiene, do take a look at my last q&a to know my perspective on the same. Take care; stay safe and strong.
Same has happened for me in nandana palace i visited that place after seeing his video but biryani was as usual like other restaurants starters was not that much tasty as he explained in that video

Sir, Give a little thought to the ambience of the restaurants that you visit. The food may be as relishable as your review but some of the places make one think twice before settling down for a hearty lunch. You know what i mean... the माहौल !

Now a days Anand Biryani is using more basmati rice instead of bullet rice but meat is really good
