Personally I prefer to just wander around the game completing events and levelling up my character than create (and spend a lot of time) on a build that will survive in the raids. We all enjoy doing different things in Fallout 76, and that's ok with me.
Agree. I enjoy building the most. I find it relaxing. The raids move at a different energy level. Great if you're up for it and enjoy it. Not great if you are forced to participate in order to participate in other areas of the game. Watching to see what happens with all of this.
There’s different depths of end game content to 76. Can you solo the snake in under a minute and 30? Is your camp truly a best build? Have you mastered merging? Have you collected and displayed at least 1 or 2 ultra rare miscellaneous item? Raids are endgame combat content but 76 is more than just combat. Plenty of people forget that. I’m Gleaming Eradicator on two characters but even I know that elite camp building and ultra rare collectibles are the true endgame.
Nah my build is not only good in raids alone lol plus i lvl 10x faster in raids then normal events 😂 and it doesn’t take much time since i can solo most in the raid 😂😂😂
I enjoy wandering so much that after 100s of levels and 6(?) years, I still haven't completed any main quests. Finally decided to work towards completing the campaigns and they're better than I remembered. :)
Good points made. What has really annoyed me during raids is when other team members rush to start the next section, and won't even give me 20 seconds to change my loadout. I got dragged into stage 2 once with no armor at all, encumbered and useless. We don't need to set a speed record, let's just play and have fun.
Unless they actually do some changes to it no, I don't want it back. Just being able to spawn faster than everyone when you have a better device certainly left a foul taste in my mouth on both receiving end. It needs to drastically change before ever bringing it back imo, take out frog legs is one of them.
I don't enjoy the raids and i am unsure what they are going to do to gear progression at this point. The seasonboard got more tedious over the last iterations and I don't really want to play as a ghoul so the last updates aren't a lot of fun for me.
@@GenkiTheEthical Ah yes, the typical smartass comment from someone with 'ethical' in their username - not very 'ethical' is it?. The OP didn't state they had a problem doing raids, merely that they didn't enjoy them or is reading not your forte? See, I can be a smart ass too, it's not difficult nor is using the skill issue comment - it's boring and over used.
@@TheEnigman Bro took a shot at Genki but doesn't know what Saints Row is. That is super cringe. "Ethical" was an ironic aspect of the title of Professor Genkis Super Ethical Reality Climax. A gameshow within the game itself. I think I shrunk a foot from cringing so hard.
@@williamhutton2126 I know who Professor Genki was (rip Saints Row for what it became.) It's like the vegan Tesla driver who believes their virtue signals outweigh being a rotten person overall. @@TheEnigman just because you are sick of hearing jokes about your mother or how absolutely cringe you are, doesn't make them less valid, tired or irrelevant. Just because you lack skill and want to cry about how hard a game is, doesn't negate the lack of skill comments' accuracy, either
For me playing FO76 was a way to relax and have some fun. IMO, I don't see this with raids. Its just a grindy chore that sucks the fun out of it. What you spoke of in your video was right on the money.
I mean , expeditions became optimised rush runners too . I have run union dues probably 600 or so times . Atlantic city didn’t really grab my attention after the Pitt because I burned out on it . I have done the raid once , got to the enclave part with the shield generator and just straight left the raid from boredom .
8:44 i completely disagree, you dont have to get shot by en06 because its a FOUR MAN raid, you need troubleshooters if you want to SOLO en06 and TANK all the extreme damage he has to deal with FOUR PLAYERS. You can do the raid with non legendary power armor and if you hide behind the pilars and restore health with stimpacks you are fine. Yeah of course if the 4 players are level 25 with raider power armor and pipe weapons wont be able to kill him but its ENDGAME CONTENT
No you don't. I can solo the EN06 without power armour or using the autoaxe glitch Overeaters BoS Recon Armour, a Vampire's Minigun when the shield is up, then switching to a Gat Plasma when it's down, and hitting a superstim or hiding when the rockets come Takes longer, but using skill is more fulfilling than using cheats
@@Barlofontainits not cheating its just using the best tactical approach I've been farming the bot for a full week I have too many mods and enough other resources to last for months built 3 full 4 star power armours in days you wish you could do that 🤣🤣🤣
No, you don't need it but it can help make it a bit easier when you don't play a min max. Now I contribute by not doing dmg, but letting reflection do the work for me. After that I'm useless lol.
@ I just explained that I can solo it without power armour and you think I can't do what every simp in the game has been doing? If I wanted to do that, I'd do it, but farming for crap I don't need isn't why I game, I don't even have a stash character because I'm not a hoarder But if that's what you like, you have at it
I started doing raids with an excavator set and I was just fine. There is no damage bug in the first stage. A faster firing vampire weapon is all you need. No troubleshooter is required. The problem some players might have comes from not understanding core stuff like builds, legendary effects or what gear to use. I like raids. They are just fine as it is. To be honest I hope they add on to it and maybe make some harder content. I always wanted more of a challenge out of the game and even tough some players like to ease their way through the game, that's not the case for me. I really don't like the mentality of one weapon, one armor, one build fits all. That makes the game stale and boring. What are we grinding good end game stuff for anyway? To do kiddie style events like the nuka world ones? The raids aren't locking anybody out. I've done hundreds of them and I've seen low levels do just fine and high levels struggle like newbs precisely because they've spent the hole game using one build, one armor, one weapon. It's a good thing that the game is offering players varied content. Those that want to chill can chill and do soft core stuff and those that want to do some harder content can too. Everybody wins. If it were up to some players there would be no mutations, no bloodied builds, no gold bullion, no pvp, no vats, no power armor, no fun. My only grief with the game is how they monetize it and that they don't give all players the junk and ammo box for free. Other than that I think they're on the right track.
Right on spot. I also want to point out an Autoaxe isn't even required to take down the first part quickly, I have found other weapons that deal both ballistic and electric quick enough to melt it once shield is down; and those of you who have done your homework know exactly what I speak of (there are weapons better than a dragon capable of melting the shield even faster). Just like you said, you acquaint yourself with mechanics, builds, etc and everything else falls into place. I currently use overeaters and junk shield (with cork junk) on a Vulcan PA put together from drops and I rarely use a stimpack.
what challenge is equipping nonsense "effect" perk cards and nonsense armor "effects"..? this is disneý marvel fantasý bullshit.. and ýes, mutations are nonsense too.. a mutation that gives enemýs an electric shock ? got a batterý in ýour ass ? jump on a tree ? certenlý devs and A LOT of plaýers got theýr head so deep up theýre own asses theý accept EVERY nonsens for "fun"
The person literally used overaters (most tankiest mod) and yet still dies in seconds lol. It’s not a “skill issue”, it’s a Bethesda thinks it’s hard if we make enemy do a million damage…
@@BasedHoliday Well, overeaters is not the tankiest mod vs robots. I never mentioned the video creator had a skill issue and since you mention overeaters, I do raids with an overeater set and I do just fine so that's not the problem either. I believe bethesda made the robot do great damage, which it does, so players would not rely solely on armor to tank the damage or survive. The players that do well vs the robot use stims, vampire weapons and there's probably other ways I haven't even thought of or seen. If you're referring to me saying the robot has no damage bug, it doesn't as far as I'm aware. The servers might not be able to keep up with damage and healing calculations simultaneously sometimes and get a player killed but that's not a bug, that's just shitty servers or game engine or both, I'm not an expert on that stuff. I stand by what I said. People that complain about raids want them to be easy and my opinion is that raids aren't meant to be easy and shouldn't be easy. It's end game content for end game players that want a challenge. Thank god for that.
@@giovanniamore2438Atlantic City tax evasion is a 15 min gig. Takes a lot to grind for union armor or other items, and you can get more legendary in moonshine jamboree. However, Atlantic is easier than the Pitt if you’re looking for something in between daily ops and events.
The things is that I accepted that fallout 76 was going to be different from the start. Once it was announced it was going to be an online game, all my expectations from the previous games went out the window. I know there are newcomers to fallout 76 but it has been more than 5 years that the game has been released. It should be known that 76 is different and should not have the same level of expectation from its predecessors.
I am level 700+ and don't have any interest in Raids. The rewards and mods are the only draw but I am already OP and the time/setup requirements for Raids just seems tedious. I do feel a little left out with so many other playing Raids, but I counteracted that by playing a different game more. Now I just do the dailies in Fallout 76 then play God of War.
From what I gathered, raids are end game content aimed towards veteran players looking for a challenge. Those that do not want to participate will still have the option of buying 4 star legendaries from other players. Low level or inexperienced players will always find a team willing to carry them but as mentioned, it's "end game content". Not sure why the negativity tbh
No one playing a bethesda game is looking for a challenge. This is a game where pvp has auto aim and popular events are the ones that get finished the fastest
Yes. It's END GAME CONTENT. It's meant to be this way. It is meant for those of us who have been playing for years and have the ability to craft and swap pieces of weapons and gear on a whim. There's plenty of choice. But not every choice is a viable one. And not one choice is necessarily optimal for all sections of the raid. That is why there are crafting areas after each section.
I’m all for end game content, however I should be able to play it regardless of which build I have. I should not have to create a new build in order to play it.
@@abbasbestgirl3054 Sooooo, you're NOT "all for end game content", then. That's like saying you shouldn't have to create a build to dominate the standard game. I don't know if I have the patience to explain how games work to an absolute newb. But, just for starters, take off all the PERK and SPECIAL cards and solo an event like "Eviction Notice". Tell me how that goes Clown
@ Okay, you’re flexing your stupidity by calling me a newb. I’m not. I’ve been here since the beginning. All I have left to play is end game content. Like myself, not every player is interested in every build. Therefore I was making the statement that we should be able to move through any area in the game with whatever build we choose to play. I disagree with having to go to a different build to accommodate specific areas of the game, to which many agree. I find a full health power armor build very boring. But that’s just me. I’d rather skate across the razor of trying not to die while also doing everything else. Which is why I chose the bloodied commando build. I’m not knocking any build. It’s a preference. I’m allowed an opinion just as you are. It would behoove you greatly to regard the opinions of others as highly as you do your own. See you in the wasteland. 😘
@ The only person flexing stupidity is the one that doesn't seem to know how games work. "Single build" was NEVER how this game was meant to be played. And, please, don't use words you clearly don't understand the meanings of. It's second hand embarrassing. I have no duty or responsibility to appreciate or even care about anyone else's opinion. Personally, I too prefer bloodied. And can play it in those raids. Is "git gud" still aa appropriate meme?
I completly disagree with you. Gatekeeping? Yes raids are finally hard content (at first atleast) which gives a decent amount of people something to work towards, something to beat by actually thinking and creating an optimized build and learning how the game works. If someone could show up with a bad build and do well it would be as lame and dull as the rest of the game. A loss of choice? Only when it comes to running the raid as efficient as possible. Many people already showed it is possible to beat the raid even solo with off meta gear. Also "the certain way it forces you to play" does not differ much from how you want to play because you still stand there and shoot the same way someone does with a gatling plasma with only things changing being your dps and weapon model. Its all about the rewards? Yes it always has been or do you think people grinded msg because it was so amazing or stood around and spawn killed mutants during evic because it was so engaging? No the content before raids already was dull and people only showed up if there was something to gain or do you think people would do tea time, lode baring, Feed the people etc if they didnt reward notes and modules? If servers could vote for which event would appear only evic and rumble would appear. The same you say about void ships can also applied to content which was already in the game. Expos are the only way to get stamps and events were the only way to get notes and yes they were guranteed but what wasnt? Godroll drops before crafting were the slim chance people were grinding for and now it is gear with a star to scrap for the plan. Before the Raid players were already hunting those kind of rewards. Ghouls in their current state are only stronger when it comes to melee. You still get more damage with nerd rage and adrenal than a ghoul with all his perkcards also 15 str from uny might still be better than a 200% feral bonus but im not sure because I dont know the melee damage scaling. The only problem I see with raids is that it combines all sought after rewards better in one activity which makes all the other content not woth doing. Instead of nerfing the raid though bethesda should instead buff events and other content because they always been not rewarding and dull.
Fully agree with you. Feels like a lot of players don't want to change and/or optimize their build to participate in the raids and that is fine. The raid does not take anything from those players. Meanwhile it grants a bit challenge to players like myself who want to test out there builds and optimize it as part of the endgame experience. In return you get 4 star legendary rewards that help achieve this. Which are overkill for the pre-raid content anyway in my opinion. Speaking of builds. I believe a lot of players got too comfortable with their build not being optimized or being a glass cannon since the pre-raid content is a breeze to go through. Now the game at least can provide some more alternatives that can definitely work in the raid. I myself have build a support tank that can share a bunch of different perks such as Tenderizer, Team Medic and other depending on the need. It also runs Empath so my team can endure more damage combined with Conductors on my Vampire Gatling Plasma so that I can tank the Guardian's damage as bloodied build, heal my teammates and deal large amounts of damage.
i am 100% doing raids for the rewards lol and that isnt a bad thing. mmos are all about the grind. 76 isnt special in this way after a certain point all content becomes dead content. you also cant have end game content and be able to have whatever build you want. if people dont want end game content dont do it but i think that idea is in the minority. challenging content is engaging. getting together with friends or randoms and doing the hard thing is fun and rewarding especially if you get a good reward at the end. end game content will help the game survive longer.
This game would benefit greatly from having a system similar to Destiny 2's raid system. If they added an easier version that gave less rewards for newer players, it would be perfect, as well as an NPC/ quest to explain the mechanics, which is something D2 lacks as well.
So you want them to make the game easier the game is already extremely easy they need to put harder thing to fight so players actually have something to work up to
@jasonwarren8740 I've played this game for 2200 hours my guy, I of all people shouldn't struggle. Me struggling or dieing at all is virtually impossible outside of raids. Yes I think ALL weapons need to deal more damage, add level 60+ weapon, hell even go to 1000 idc. I just want to be able to get on the game, one shot some enemy's, delete a super mutant from this realm with a flamer that has infinite range and get out... But it's all a pipe dream unfortunately, guess I'll go back to fighting their "end game boss l" and killing it in less than 10 seconds 😋 bc this game is balanced so well when aoe damage doesn't even register on an enemy's health bar yet end game bosses die immediately.
The Void Ships from First Descendant have a normal and a hardcore versions, so that sounds like what you're describing. It definitely helps in learning how the dungeons work.
Trying to make something like raids work in a casual game like 76 was always going to be challenging. I think it can succeed if they keep updating the rewards. As far as grind, some people enjoy that. 76 has no shortage of it.
That’s a spot on analysis of the game right now. The raids will go the same way as daily ops and expeditions. Most people will grind them for the gear and then just stop doing them as soon as they got what they wanted. The difference is that raids are designed to exclude a large portion of the player base. It’s not even that it is supposed to be harder end game content because that’s bs, the raids are actually easy if you have a certain setup. The problem is that it forces everyone to play the same way, which is PA and gat plasma. There are other builds that work but if we’re being honest we have to admit that most people run PA and gat plasma. I personally find the raids rather boring and it’s an ass to find good teams with random players. I got all the mods and plans I wanted and having been completely op before I don’t really care either way about a bit higher damage or mitigation. This game is way too easy with or without the new gear. I would have preferred if they had made open world events and encounters more difficult because that would have allowed everyone on the server to participate, given the high level players a challenge and opportunity to test their builds and at the same time given all other players a chance to get the really good gear, too. This faux elitist raids system doesn’t sit well with the rest of the game.
I can agree and disagree. Yes the game has a lot of level playing field/even tier content, but I dont see a problem with there being high end end game content you need to have focus gear and builds for. There is still a majority of end game stuff that is open world like the 4 nuke bosses. Not everything has to be managed that a level 50ish team of 4 can breeze through. I personally enjoyed the challenge of the raid and my wife and I duo the raid without 4 star gear at all. Yes you need to do a bit of ground work to know what you are doing, but that is if you want to pass it without the testing yourself. It can be fun to do that, but without proper communication its pretty unheard of to have a green thumb, full pug group, blast into end game content and pass it without gear, research or practice. They can do that in any part of the game, why does it need to be the entire map? Thats what you do in the starter area and first few events. We did the raid just 2 of us with a rough build and took 3-5 tries at each section before passing it, a full group of 4 with any vague sense should be able to smash it. The drops differ on each section too , outside of the vulcan set, so just farming the first boss while it is a thing and viable to get the vulcan set, you dont get all the rewards from that way. We loved the challenge of doing it duo and sure after we both have everything there will be little left to do, but after 3 months of doing it regularly why would we want to. I dont hit up every scorchbeast or earl anymore either. You chase the loot and the challenge and when both are gone you move on to the next one. Good to see you back at it though SG, would love to do a few raids with you mate.
Cheers, I'd be glad to run with you if we run into each other. Yeah, the raids are interesting while you're learning them, my concern is mostly around what happens to the content after people get the prizes? How do we prevent future gameplay elements becoming dead content like daily ops and expeditions? My focus is more about trying to nudge the thinking of the designers of future gameplay content towards designs that will stand the test of time.
stage 2 is the most comfortable and therapeutic stage. all you do is run while a team mate protects. the jump scares are funny too so im not even mad when i suddenly get one shotted from a corner. it's similar to From Ashes to Fire and I like that aspect of just running around collecting objectives and avoiding obstacles etc. it'd be nice if there are more 'casual' party stuff that doesnt involve combat but feature puzzle-like challenges or mobility-based stuff.
If anyone remembers Aion, it probably has/had(don't know if servers are still up)the best variety of gameplay of any game ever made. Plus the graphics and styles were top notch.
It would be great if the game worked properly. I play on Xbox x and literally everything is bugged or gets bugged. They need to stop making new content and work on making the game function properly. If I get 1 hr of game play without a frezz or crash, it's a minor miracle. But I'm still stuck with permanent ammo bugs , 4star rejuvenating set does not heal anyone in my team. Even if they are naked. Gatlin plasma with explosive mod crashes my game all the time. Guns sound glitches never stop firing and on and on and on countless sloppy bugs from not testing your updates properly.
I actually tried to play this on the ps5 to see what it was like,All the above I experienced and immediately went straight back to pc It was so bad I thought to myself how are people on consoles playing this when it’s this bad if I didn’t have a pc I don’t think I would have the patience to play it on console
I have five characters all over level 1200. Raids made me go back to playing Fallout 4. I hadn’t fully articulated why, but this video did that for me. More than anything else in the game, the raids feel like a chore in order to get rewards that are only useful in the raids themselves.
Played since just after game release. Made different builds on the 5 character slots hoping an account wide stash box would be introduced but they went with the multiple load out feature instead. Now back doing expeditions for stamps to upgrade union pa for the only one of my characters that had enough unused level ups to spec a raid build cos my son wants to try running them. PITA
One thing that would help is a trining raid system where it functions like a custom world you wouldn't get any reward but you would have infinate respaens like a daily op or expadition and you would revert back to your pre-raid state once you exit
I don’t see anything wrong with what you said is a negative about raids. I’ve done the raids with every build no problem. It’s endgame content for a reason. A noob isn’t supposed to just go straight to raiding and get all the best rewards. There’s nothing wrong with having things in the game specifically for veteran players.
I don't have a problem making the game more difficult, it's criminally easy as it is. But, I hate that almost all new things in 76 require dwellers to repeat the same activities again & again & again. Fucking boring. The seasonal events are a lot of fun, until you are doing them over & over & over again to get that one rare plan or mask or whatever, with no other way to earn them. It drives me nuts & happens every time.
Very well said and excellent points. I felt the same way after the first week. With a good crew the raid is easy and now with all the glitches, it’s like you said-just doing it for the easy resources.
I completely disagree with all of your points here. 1) *Gatekeeping* “I saw a level 20 get kicked”. Don’t join endgame raid content expecting people to carry you as a low level. Simple as. “People gave me the thumbs down emote when I died right away twice in a row.” Well of course they did. You’re acting like dead weight and showing footage of yourself in the background using a low DPS weapon like the Gatling gun in a part of the raid that’s a literal DPS check. Similarly don’t go into the raid with a clown build or weapon and expect people to be enthused that you’re there taking up a team spot. “I brought a black powder pistol! Why won’t people raid with me!?” 2) *Loss of Choice* “It was too much to expect to tank as a bloodied character.” Well you don’t stand still in front of EN06 solo for starters, let’s get that out of the way. Maybe you’re not supposed to be able to face tank an endgame boss by yourself? “Basically if you want to participate in raids, you have to craft a specific set of gear.” No you don’t. If you lack game sense or stand completely still for the robot then sure, you must have troubleshooters. This is misinformation you’re spreading. 3) *it’s all about the rewards* Well yeah. It’s a raid in a video game. Of course it’s about the rewards. And no content is fresh forever. I don’t know what you expect here. People are farming the robot over and over again because they a) can’t find a team or refuse to find a team or b) don’t realize the bot has the worst drop rates out of all the phases. 4) *Slippery Slope* you act as if egalitarianism is a good thing. If you have no reason to build your character because there’s nothing difficult to go up against then why stick around after you beat the main storyline in about 5 hours on a Saturday afternoon? Raids were completely necessary as they gave high level players, 76s most important dedicated component of the player base, something to prep, organize, and build for. Have you considered why 76 struggles to grow or maintain players? That maybe perhaps its defining aspect in your words, egalitarianism, is actually its greatest weakness? Look raids aren’t going to drive newbies away. By the time they even consider raids for their playthrough, they’ll have already decided if 76 is for them or not. Raids are an important extension of your 76 pipeline for those who decided to stick around.
Sure, it's a raid and like I covered when comparing to First Descendant, it's a pretty common form of a raid. But the question is whether raid type mentality and gameplay fits with FO76's design up to now. There's plenty of games that offer that type of gameplay and in some ways do it better than FO76 could.
i have to remind people that we were all new to raids at some point. If my normal raids team is not online, I will do my best to help new players work through the raids. I can carry most through it but getting the XP will help them level up cards and get the right builds and hopefully get them good gear and box mods! if we can all be a bit kinder to newer players (to raids) and new players can take a backseat to learn in those raids instead of running in like leroy jenkins, it can be a mutually beneficial experience! unfortunately, some people suck!
8:44 an end game boss designed around four people that literally has mechanics centered around utilizing cover and multiple angles for aggro doesn't let you face tank the full unbridled force of its attack for a solid minute? What were the devs thinking??? Bitter sarcasm/toxicity aside I don't find anything extremely wrong with the way the raid has been designed, it's not meant to be easily solo-able, it's a team based objective that encourages strategy. I do agree that some people are incredibly dick-ish and have zero patience for when I'm just trying to sort out my inventory because I just got about 50-100 weight added on after finishing part of the raid. That all being said I do think the EN06 fight could be tuned better as someone who's always main'd a full health power armor build.
Raids have turned into cheese events. I guess getting tons of exp for a not too hard event is ok. Remember the old vault raids? Those were hard. And I'm not impressed with any of the 4 stars so far. Already bored with the event. But the game isn't centered around the raids so...
Hello I think it's a great idea to do this, to have to adapt. We should do all the content of the game like that! There are so many useless mods like the mods against animals or humans that no one uses. You don't have to have a single Power armor to play the entire game without dying. It's not normal and it's a bad way to learn the game. Find the right mods (by learning or trading or buying in the game), find armor chassis, have a good Power armor (so farm gold or stamps with expeditions), this gives meaning to the game and a good lifespan. I find the Raid still too simple. It needs more difficulty and has to adapt even more to certain critical situations. You shouldn't be a one man army in an apocalyptic world.
The Raids are actual "End Game Content". Build and equipment have to be top notch and fairly specific (High DPS, Tanky, Vampiric, etc) and a grind to collect for lower level/resource characters.
@@thickaxeyup, it’s for people who want to get to the next level and it’s a rewarding grind imo, I’m still enjoying farming it. If people are upset they can’t bring their pipe rifle build into the raid then that’s on them
My only issue with the concept of multiple sets of armor for multiple builds is this.. where the hell do we put it? there is only so much room in the stash box. Displayed items shouldnt take up space. This would then allow people to have multiple PAs and other builds without limiting their stash room. I carry tons of extra guns on me cause they wont fit in my stash box due to all the items I collect for collections. Seems to me you cant do both collect items for your camp and have many builds with different armors and weapons. personally only done a few raids and didnt survive well in them so havent been back for this exact reason. need to grind out the gear for the build but dont have room to just swap on demand.
I dont think it would be the majority what so ever of players that really care if you pull your weight in the raid.. I usually just let anyone join me and do what i do and clear it over and over again. Im currently running vulcan set with OE/AP/WWR with 3x limit breaking and 2x rejuvinator 4* 22 luck and 3x limit break for one shot crits.. weapons ill run AA2525 gatling plasma with pin pointers, V/25/15r holy fire with the burning 4* and and a V/40p/3s auto axe with pounders. I do the raids because it is the most "end game" thing we have, forcing us to optimize the best builds is something we dearly needed. Im excited for more raids to be added with new mechanics for us to optimize around
I think similarly. I don't expect everyone to know what they're doing, or even be particularly good. Some players are new, and need time to learn. I'm fine carrying the lower levels so they can get rewards too.
I think its a great direction co-op play for the game. Yes raids need fine tuning and they aren’t going to be for everyone or newer players but neither is Earle.. you don’t have to do the raids to get 4 star box mods, it’s only an armor set thats exclusive.. the game needed this and I hope they expand on it but not at the expense of new storyline content.. players will always grind, if its not westek it will be for Leaders etc.
All good points SG. I like playing the game solo-ish. Yes, It's an MMO... but with the exception of the Raids and the (4) nuke bosses you don't need any special gear to move through the game solo. I can solo the first Raid boss... I have not moved further. Nor have I joined a Raid group (most times the time-sink to run through something long does not jive with my home life. Which why I don't drop nukes often... yup, I don't glitch through... I do it the old fashioned way). Because of "my" play style - I feel I will be looked down upon should I die in a Raid to often and as you seem to have eluded to - the thought of it makes me avoid it... I don't want to waste other folks time on my lack of functional Raid experience. Yes, I have watched the RUclipss of the Raids. I know what happens, but it leave me with almost "meh" aftertaste.
You know, I felt this way about the raid before I ever played it but it's been a lot of fun figuring it out together with my brother. We were able to duo Guardian without watching videos or reading guides, but we had just enough dps to kill it in time before we ran out of hiding spots. We died a lot, of course, but we figured it out and eventually were able to duo the entire raid. We only starting reading about better tactics until after we were able to kill it ourselves. It is possible and it is rewarding in my experience. I've never really felt like I was a very powerful or capable player until this season -- and the experience has bumped me to the top tiers of dps. Any fight now, I just melt the boss. Earle? Melt. Dead in a minute or less. Scorchbeast Queen? Even faster. I never even used power armor until this raid forced me to accept it. Full health PA master race, man. It's wild. I went from barely able to do anything to being god of every server I play on. 8:00 I don't use Troubleshooters and I can solo Guardian in less than a minute. I'm not sure why this is happening, but when my brother removed his power armor skins and just used the base model Union PA, he became tankier. No need for troubleshooters at all. I didn't believe him, but I removed my PA skin and sure enough I didn't need to spam stims. I still stim but I'm much tankier and I'm using Overeaters. Has anyone else noticed this? My fight tactic to kill Guardian solo in less than a minute is to fire one blast of my plasma caster to trigger bullet shield (while also using Richochet), then swap to The Dragon (just for the cripple effect; I never fire it), wait for the shield to deplete itself within seconds via richochet/bullet shield procing The Dragon, then use a Pounders Auto Axe in third person, targeting the yellow damage spot. You don't want to hide behind the walls, you want to take and reflect damage. Yes, they fixed the platform, but if you get out of your PA while standing in the middle of the platform before starting the fight, then enter your power armor as the fight begins, you can safely stand there. Though, I do die on occasion, not sure why, but like every 5 or 6 solo kills, I die instantly. You could also stand on a power armor but I find exiting and rentering quicker in the long run when farming kills.
It's hearing comments like yours and seeing how other people were able to tank the damage a lot better than I could that leads me to believe that I'm being affected by something related to lag. I can't imagine not spamming stims, it's the only thing that keeps me alive, even in a full troubleshooter's set now. But that's an intriguing thought on the PA paint, I might need to give that a look.
@@SequentialGamerFallout Appreciate the feedback and you may be correct, but please if you do test power armor paint versus no paint, let me know your results. It's possible we are incorrect but it sure as heck feels true in our limited testing.
A solution would simply be to add more raids, and perhaps raid level world events for teams only. Raids don't work unless its the beginning of end game content. This is the natural progression of a game like Fallout 76. Just look at Borderlands 3; game starts out easy, fun, and full of discovery, but then turns into a build game. Its actually never been easier for newer players to assembled end game gear. All they need to do is friend up with raid players.
I dunno man, raid are kinda cool when approahed seriously, it is a good way to powergrind xp, currencies and loot, and it is exactly what I were always needed as high level player, for clearance, I was level ~980 before I started doing the raid, it took me more than 2k hours to get it, after around a week of running raids I now have level 1260, but also an abundance of caps, scrip, modules, perk points and perk coins. Without doing raids I pretty much stopped my development in game, events are not doing it in terms of progression, awarding in just a miniscule pile of trash. So nah man, raids are certainly a step in a right direction, furthermore saying that Bethesda should update the game so it could at least come close to raid rewarding. And it is not as hard as you say, it took me just few tries to get used to robot, all it takes is 1-2 active super stimpak, a set of power armor and "dodgy" perk, that it, you don't even need troubleshooters set (even tho it is the only way to make tanking robot trivial)
I have been playing since beta. I was a part of a raid guild in old school WOW where it took days/weeks to get through one so I'm not a stranger to much harder raids than this. That being said, I haven't gone into a raid on 76 even once. I'm just not very compelled.
im not at “raider” but i do enjoy it when ppl are generous enough to just grind the first boss and carry. im usually just grinding to 300 or falling asleep to music. that one new dawn track with the trumpets, i presume, goes so hard. such majestic
I am level 2400 and I’ve done probably around 300+ raids. By far this is the best thing they added to this game. It’s adds challenge, unique rewards, tests your game knowledge and makes you actually try. I think they need to expand further and at the end of the day raids aren’t for everyone just like building ain’t for everyone. Im not talking about the glitches n what not like skipping sections or cheesing the first boss because those needs to get patched
I'm newer player and can't get a team for raids. So raids suck. Caravan sucks and if ghouls suck. I'm done playing 76. It's not an airport and I don't have to announce departure, but every player that departs is 1 closer to game departing.
The game is just getting better and better. You're in the minority. That being said, you don't need a set team, join a random team. If they kick you it's usually because they already have a full team ready to go. Just keep joining randoms. My BEST raid runs have been with randoms rather than my friend group
This is a great breakdown of the raids from my perspective. I just got back into 76 about a month ago. I've never had an issue in Fallout. I've always been able to create a build that could run in any situation and use that build exclusively if I wanted to. With the raids I realized I was going to have to create an entire new build and armor set to play effectively. So I've spent the last 2-3 weeks trying to gather the stuff I need for that build. It's really ridiculous that I can't take my high end armor that I already have and complete the raid through skill. Basically if you don't have the armor and build to face tank these bosses, you will fail. You're absolutely right, it forces you to play a certain style. I've always been a bloody sneak build. Sometimes Using a rifle and sometimes Using unarmed. That will not work in these raids with any player. This is nonsense. Basically they've taken and entire build and rendered it totally useless in the raids. I don't want to face tank. I don't want to wear power armor. I don't want to carry a heavy gun. I've never done any of that stuff in Fallout and don't want to do it now. But I have to if I want to play the raid. Everyone runs around with the same 3 weapons and power armor in this game. I don't want to be like everyone else. Raising the damage to ridiculous levels and rendering all builds expect a specific build useless tells me that there is a serious lack of creativity from the devs. There are ways to make things harder where all builds can participate.
Well said, I've been playing FO76 off and on since dec 2018. My main is just over lvl 500 and I can't even complete stage 1 solo. There's something wrong with this part of FO 76. I agree with you, you should be able to play your way, not a way that everyone else has too.
I agree with you that the raids lack creativity, but you can absolutely do the raid bloodied and with no power armor, I have done this and with heavy gunner, commando and melee, but you are absolutely correct stealth cannot really be applied anywhere in the raid and that sucks. It should absolutely be viable in the drill tunnels or the epsilon guardians or the lab. My brother runs a commando handmade and a shotgunner build and he is absolutely a big contributer in our raids.
@@abcdefgcdefg5178 What exactly are you doing to run bloodied? Are you in PA? I have a set of SS armor that I use with full unyeilding on my main build and I can't even use a stimpack on the first boss. It's one and done 100% of the time. I can however stay alive on the Dangerous Game event by timing stimpacks even when there is every lost spawned on the map targeting me. How is this possible? I can live there but die one tap to the first boss in the raid 😂 It's absurd. Do I need to go overeaters? You using chems? I don't really use chems. I do use food, but I thought perhaps if altered a few perks so chems would be more effective it would help. Here's the real problem. I can't test my ideas on the bosses because I don't want to drag other players down while I experiment. I pretty much conceded the fact that I will need to run what everyone else is running before I can do the raid. I still need to aquire some gear for that.
@LogicallyKnot so a few things, I have first aid, field surgeon and my team runs team medic, I use food buffs from nuka world for energy damage resistance, I also run full funky duds, sizzling style and poisoners on my armor, I also run any perk cards I can for damage reduction and energy damage reduction. During the terror stage hang back a bit behind everyone else, we usually have a couple of tanks up front, stay out of the acid puddles and make sure you avoid the spit, all this is extremely overkill but put to practice keeps me alive very easily. I suggest going in 40-60% bloodied until you get used to it and then go full bloodied. It also helps that my team kills the En06 in 24 sec, the guardians in 36 seconds, and the terror in 24-30 sec. Hope this helps a little bit
When the caravans started there was a bug... I still have that bug so I can't progress at all. Then raids started. I can't solo the raid and I don't have a team so I've only done a few raids. So it's endless project paradises all the way.
I played raids quite a bit in the PTS, but I don't have a PA build. Right before the update my computer had to reinstall Windows, and now I have serious lag causing all events to be nearly impossible, so I haven't tried at all to do raids, because I know that I can't pull my weight, even though I'm almost a level 700. I don't do daily ops or the Pitt, and hardly do expeditions. Once I get my game moving faster, I'll try to get into raids, but once I get the rewards, I won't bother with raids.
I have all the gear for raids but like others have noted here, I do FO76 for a relaxed, super-casual time. At level 975, my happy space is hunting bobbleheads/random events while listening to podcasts.
i got to the first point and quit. Raids are not meant to be easy so the "gatekeeping point" falls flat on its face. also name a game where raids are not loot drops but the experience only?
Raids were made for the veterans. And im totally fine with that. Because when I started playing, bloodied and unyielding was a goal to achieve for me. Working towards that. And personally I dont like low levels on my raid team. There's plenty of stuff they could do outside the raids. Like doing their quests, build a camp and so on. But most of them try to get everything the easy way and join raids, but die immediately and are not helpful for the team in any way. So no thx.😉
Personally, I like the raids, because if you want to have a certain build, you have to grind harder, there's people that do blooded, there's people that do other builds you just gotta grind harder to be able to use those builds. And honestly, I think having a system where you have to grind is a bit better and its more fun. In my opinion, if you like a easy game, go play Minecraft. Personally, everything would be perfectly fine if they made it competitive because the veteran players can still help people out by giving them stuff. Once they turn 50 are certain level, I don't see no issue with it being competitive and makes it more fun immersion. in my opinion, because you have to grind harder anybody that says they don't like the grind game while go play Minecraft to go play Animal Crossing go play road blocks, go play something fallout 76 is too easy at itself. And in my opinion, it's a survival game, nuclear wasteland. It shouldn't be as easy as it is.
I think they should add the 4* mod boxes to the loot pool of the treasure hunter mole miners and leave them in all the time... but at a much reduced rate... say 6 per hour on each map anywhere on the map. That would give everyone an opportunity to get the "best" mods without the bottle-neck of raiding.
I believe you are right about the sentinels bug, sentinels causes you to take more damage instead of reducing it, they will patch it in the next update I think. Troubleshooters PA was amazing for my friend and I went with mutants PA. I gotta admit, raids have been rough for me until I created a build and gear for it.
I can't be arsed. If its shooting was fluid like Destiny or Doom I'd be all for it, but when it comes to the end game I can't be arsed to fight the jank.
😅 Personally, i hope they will add much more difficult raids in the future. There is no one forcing players to use the RUclips "meta" content creators show the "best" way to do things. This raid, all you need is to invest time into a build and have basic knowledge of the game. Will you solo clear the stages super fast day one ? Lol, no! But pretty much any weapon and armor with a decent build is effective for clearing the raid as a team of random players. Too many complain about meta this and meta that. There are dozens of great weapons that are slightly weaker and work just fine for every part of this game, including the raid. Best advice i can give, Stop being a follower and just enjoy the game your way and ask for help if you get stuck. The great community in game and online on FO76 is very helpful, and IMO, one of the reasons I have found myself keep coming back despite the fact on ps5, I still randomly disconnect even outside of raid.
The main problem of all this is the power creep outside the raids. The meta/ power creep is making the game less fun. This started with Bloodied builds killing enemies in a lot of events so fast you don’t even have time enough to tag them for XP. In reaction all the enemies get a “bullet sponge buff”. This can become an endless spiral of ‘fixes’ and doesn’t make the game more fun.
I took full advantage of solo farming the first stage with the auto axe. I learned all Vulcan plans fairly quick, got loads of mod boxes and have full sets of Rejuvenators, Scanners, Limit-Breaking and Reflective Vulcans. Yes it was extremely boring and repetitive but at lvl 800+ I had nothing else to do. It was also a easy way to gain Xp to finish the season quickly. To this day the only stage of the raid I've done is the 1st and don't plan on ever completing a full raid.
This is mostly anecdotes and not anybtype of rule. If someone simply asks "hey what do we do in this part", in my experience, 100% of the time, they get the entire encounter explained in detail.
I really enjoyed your video, they were my thoughts. ive been playing 76 since launch, played many games in between but always came back to 76 because its a comfortable game, relaxing, building, exploring and doing events when i feel like it....
When clown agrees with something it believes that 'logic' is involved rather than feelings and preferences and when zero logic was involved. Stupid truly can't be fixed.
I agree ALOT of players farm the 1st stage or just do the raids for the rewards, but thats why i like playing with the people that i play with, we always find a way to have fun raiding, we enjoy trying different builds and pushin that build to it's limit and whats possible in the raid, whether it be the meta full health heavy PA or an explosive bloodied bow build that has to run like hell and hide behind cover and pick shots. But maybe thats just us? If it is thats a shame. Great video, really enjoyed seeing your point of view :)
100% agree I have never done raids ,the format seems that it excludes some then you feel you are missing the new gear its a shame there is not another way to collect
I'm of the camp-builder & shenanigans mindset myself. I've done the raids once, & I'm good not doing them again. I don't need any of the prizes to do what I enjoy in game.
Me and my buddies carry low levels all the time. We don’t care. If they are lost we give them general tips and strategies and let them slowly adapt. Everyone has to start somewhere
There's footage of me using a vampiric plasma caster when I was testing the Sentinel's Union set. After that I was relying more on ricochet to bring the shield down.
I like raids but yes they do feel...off like you said it's different than what we are use too but technically so was daily ops and expeditions at least to me. I like all 3 it's just not the normal fallout many of us are use to although different is not always a bad thing I just hope they expand on the lore behind the scientific forge we run through that's the birthplace of the scorched plague, Grafton monster, and the snallygaster if I'm not mistaken and supposedly that place somehow physically connects to the research facility in the Forest Region but there's no canon evidence.
I agree with a lot of that. I’m 1700+ and admit I ran the robot a lot because I wanted rewards, but also because stage 2 is a real pain to do solo. There are some real good players that can solo it, I cannot. I tried and practiced, however, it was really time consuming and a bit demoralizing. I m good at stages 1,3,and 4. In my opinion stage 5 is rough without all the right mods and such. My friends like to glitch 16 people in. It’s all fun until you realize when it really counts you can’t do it. I have been in 3 people teams and we were able to to do it all. Some of the people I play with get mad at me for actually saying things like, practice makes perfect, or we won’t get better if we keep cheating. They will give the drill a try and give up after 3 fails. One person said “yesterday we did it 8 times with 16 people, I don’t know what’s going on.” Same thing with stage 3. They could not understand the way to do it with 3 or 4 people vs. 8 or 12, or whatever. 😾
I don't do raids bc they are mostly only playable if you wear PA. Not only that, the rewards are heavily for PA players. In addition, even you you did them for the rewards, like 90% of the 4 stars are only for PA players. Which I'm not. So why do them? Fail by Bethesda to gear them to only a certain build.
100% about the rewards, like i did the expeditions. But to be honest i prefer the expeditions of the two. I wish they added several ways to get the rewards, hell id even welcome some sort of merchant, like the one for stamps connected to expeditions. Add a exchange npc, so we could trade markers, that way people could get the option to what gameplay they would prefer doing.
One thing that bugs me about some games' content is when you are expected to learn how to complete some content via online guides or trial & error, instead of via in-game lore or other such in-game content...
I do think the 4* boxes need to be earnable outside Raids, making 4* enemies that drop 4* items that anyone can get. This will even the field a bit. All world Bosses to 4* and random encounters should include a percentage of 4* as well at the current 3* level. I get that special items are behind the Raids like the Vulcan plans or special weapons, but not the 4* effects themselves. How about making the Vulcan plans for sale for Gold? This will allow noobs to craft at least a basic armour set, not that it is required. Also, Mutated events or Pails could have Random Mod Box rewards...like the Bobble or Mags that we got from Raids, increasing places we get 4* from non Raid events.
Hey first off I really like your videos. That said I gotta say I completely disagree here. I’ve been playing for years myself and the raids have really brought some light into this game. I’m the type that would jump on public teams and never interact with anyone just enjoying my own fallout experience. Since this raid has started I’ve added like 30 people to my friends list and put my mic on for the first time during this game. Not only that but you don’t need a targeted build for any of the rooms. Slightly yeah sure there’s a few perks you should always bring. I’ve never needed troubleshooters for the robot you just have to be careful. Now using conductors on my gun I don’t even really have to be that careful anymore. Each time I make a run I find new friends and every experience is different. Sure there’s gonna be some repetition but that’s bo different than the event we already do over and over. Lastly, if you’ve played any other multiplayer games with raids they’re always about the rewards lol that’s the whole point. Typically with raids in any game the goal because mastering it and seeing how fast you can go to get the rewards faster. So when I see raid I’m already expecting it to be about the loot overall. Anyway, that’s my peace. Keep making great content my friend even if I don’t agree with it lol.
i think end game content for me at least is great it makes me want to play the rest of the game to get the gear and levels needed to do the raid but theyre not for everyone
My wife and I must have had good groups so far. We raided in EQ2 and WoW and I really didn't expect much from this one all things considered. After each stage everyone drops what they want in the scrap, stash or on the floor, jump in or out of Power Armor and then move on. If someone got to the next stage early they just went to where they wanted to start and waited. There were a couple times we had a to wait a few more minutes on someone and no one got their undies in a bundle. Hell one time I had to let the dog out so I let them know, did the deed quick as possible and we got back to it. We have been lucky I guess as it has always been fun. I do prefer doing my own thing but the runs have been good and me not being a PA user I have learned a bunch about the gear and get to pull the old Union armor out and actually set the mods I want on it and use it from time to time now.
I think that they should add 4 star enemies in like season 21 or something....like just keeping them behind the raid forever doesn't really help and I'm speaking for the people who are too shy to talk to people and mostly play solo...I've done the first boss like 400 times before the patch a couple days ago and gotten a lot of 4 star mods and learned some too...but for the people who don't play it should have another way of getting 4 stars later down the line that doesn't include trading or running the raid...the stuff they CAN keep behind the raid is the Vulcan and the unique weapons plans and trophies in my opinion.
;tldr I agree with all of your points The Raids are a thing to do but they were not implemented properly due to how the rewards were setup. If all you could get through the Raids was the Vulcan armor and the new weapons (no 4’s) then it would be a self contained task that people could choose to do much like the other noted activities ingame. The main issue is this was implemented as a Monte Haul mechanic with no catch processes in the event of an exploit. I had time on my hands, I ran everything over 76 times now and the bot close to 600+. I got all of the rewards somewhere in the 100-200 range of farming the bot, all of my gear is updated with 4’s, I have 10+ (20+ in some cases) of each box 4th star mod on a mule, the ability to make most of the 4th star box mods, over 1k of each stable flux, 4,500+ modules, constant maxed out scrip/caps, 100’s of additional character levels, etc. There was not anything else like this ingame with farming the boardwalk being the closet thing. By adding this, even if they truly thought it was end game content, they added a retirement village for endgame players. I have ignored all Eviction Notices and Radiation Rumbles,… why bother doing either of those? For the sweet sweet 3 star Legendaries or XP? In the same time it takes to complete either of those I can kill the bot 4-5 times and grossly eclipse the rewards in every way for both of those. The Queen? Unless you are trying to get a rare plan or you are new, do you really want to watch her die in 3 min yet again for nothing of real value? Campfire Tales? For that low chance of getting a badge but that is about it. This is not to say that the only thing to do in this game is to gain items, most of the fun I have had ingame had nothing to do with getting stuff. The issue is that most of the content that is put into place is to get items/XP and they put in one that gets you way more of everything and it a fraction fo the effort. Look at when they put in the new Mutated events, they were ran by everyone at first, then they realized that they were not fun to do repeatably just to get the same moderate rewards so they ended up being a ghost town (they really should have done something special for the rewards from those events to make them worthwhile). Since this is a casual power fantasy with the side benefit of being online, making anything harder than the associated benefit is a bad idea. The Raids should have been a resource sink to give players something to use their wealth on, not as a way to get even more wealth. The ‘fix’ they put in is a bad sign for things to come and you can expect for the Raids to, as others have said, go the way of other mechanics after people run them into the ground. Summary: it is not about me, or most of you that play a lot, this is about the casual player that already will never see Earl and is really close to being boxed out of getting a shot at the Raids once we are all burned out on it
@@bruno5549 that is an odd takeaway from my post, I don’t sell anything ingame as there are far too many ways for people to rip you off and I don’t have anything in my profile public since Red Dead Online teaches you that jailbroken systems leaves your IP wide open. So unless I know you ready chances are you won’t be able to hook up with me ingame.
People wanted a harder challenge but the core gameplay makes it hard make something difficult without the damage and survivability output between weapons and armors majorly increasing in disparity. There is some still some minor freedom if you’re a good player and I’m pretty sure the sentinel’s bug was giving you a harder time in the video but I could be wrong as while I don’t struggle with overeaters instead of troubleshooters I do have like 3 rejuvenators pieces that are apparently giving more hp and ap than intended.
I’m level 3,500 give or take 50 it’s been a while since I checked. I played fallout 76 for two reasons to shoot the shit with friends on double XP weekends and story. My friends aren’t interested in playing anymore and story content takes forever to come out thus I am barely around. For me raids do not interest me at all and I haven’t even tried them
Ye Fallout world is pretty much all about the world story building. F76 was horrible before they added the npc's and quests. But there is still alot of improvements that could be done
Well said! I admit, I got sucked into the hype at first...but quickly realized it wasn't fun after a few runs. Most people would rage quit and the ability to gain anything that was of value outside of running raids was thin (and near impossible), ultimately turning this event into yet another (buggy) grind...where no one wants to do the follow on quests. Fallout used to be an open world game, rich with stories and interesting characters. Alas, here we are...bored, stash heavy, and more interested in how to cheese/exploit the game, rather than having fun.
You can still play your way. They are not forcing you. You just gotta adjust and get good. I see all sorts of builds on my teams. Of course you want to try optimize yourself to the situation but that's with any end game event. What might work in 1 situation may not in others...lmao
I’m already level 600 and I’m still weary of raids. It’s not that I’m not intrigued, but it’s what I’m lacking to properly prepare because you first have to tackle the horrendous rng trenches. The amount of legendaries I’m hoarding to learn the mods that I need is ridiculous, and even then it’s daunting to know how easily you can die with the tanky equipment you took ages to farm.
I agree with your points. I also know... right now, TONS of people are cheating in raids. Bethesda will obviously track this, and ban (probably semi-temp ban) those who are found cheating. So, no possible way I want to be associated with that. AFTER the devs fix all those exploits, I might look at raids. Until they do that, no reason to even look at the Raids.
Personally I prefer to just wander around the game completing events and levelling up my character than create (and spend a lot of time) on a build that will survive in the raids. We all enjoy doing different things in Fallout 76, and that's ok with me.
I do the same thing and only start doing main/side quests on each character after I'm bored helping and doing random things exploring
We don't need to set a speed record, let's just play and have fun.
totaly agree people need to get time to switch gear and setup, but it does annoy me when people stand there for 5min and let everyone wait.
I feel like the people that speed run everything have a mental illness.
ADHD or similar.
Be faster 😂
@@jasonwarren8740 Jason it costs nothing to be nice. I think you should be faster, my raid time is quicker than yours.
Voice chat and communication exist. Sounds like a skill issue just like this video
What an insightful interpretation of what I’ve been feeling in the back of my head lately. I think you nailed this! Thank you!
Great minds think alike, eh?
Am I the only one that thinks Nuclear Winter should be brought back?!
Maybe , I liked it , but I am strange like that
Unless they actually do some changes to it no, I don't want it back.
Just being able to spawn faster than everyone when you have a better device certainly left a foul taste in my mouth on both receiving end.
It needs to drastically change before ever bringing it back imo, take out frog legs is one of them.
BRING BACK NUCLEAR WINTER and cancel that useless Number 3 rotating world🤯
I don't enjoy the raids and i am unsure what they are going to do to gear progression at this point.
The seasonboard got more tedious over the last iterations and I don't really want to play as a ghoul so the last updates aren't a lot of fun for me.
Skill issue. Play a different game.
@@williamhutton2126 I know who Professor Genki was (rip Saints Row for what it became.) For me playing FO76 was a way to relax and have some fun. IMO, I don't see this with raids. Its just a grindy chore that sucks the fun out of it. What you spoke of in your video was right on the money.
Then don't play them. It's not required.
I can solo the guardian in 37 seconds lol
No you don't. I can solo the EN06 without power armour or using the autoaxe glitch
Overeaters BoS Recon Armour, a Vampire's Minigun when the shield is up, then switching to a Gat Plasma when it's down, and hitting a superstim or hiding when the rockets come
Takes longer, but using skill is more fulfilling than using cheats
@@Barlofontainits not cheating its just using the best tactical approach I've been farming the bot for a full week I have too many mods and enough other resources to last for months built 3 full 4 star power armours in days you wish you could do that 🤣🤣🤣
No, you don't need it but it can help make it a bit easier when you don't play a min max. Now I contribute by not doing dmg, but letting reflection do the work for me. After that I'm useless lol.
@ I just explained that I can solo it without power armour and you think I can't do what every simp in the game has been doing? If I wanted to do that, I'd do it, but farming for crap I don't need isn't why I game, I don't even have a stash character because I'm not a hoarder
But if that's what you like, you have at it
What raids in what game aren't trite and just for the rewards
Vault of glass was really fun, other raids are just hard. But yeah I wanted that mythoclast
FF14 raids are part of the story too and have to clean the raid at least once each to progress it
I started doing raids with an excavator set and I was just fine.
@ Also once players start gaining those 4** legendary modules, the raid itself becomes considerably easier. I think most complainers are just lazy.
Raids are a game within a game.
Agree completely. Glad it wasn't only me who said "meh" when the raids were unveiled.
tried raid once, the pit never, atlantic citý never.. i have fun 😊
@@giovanniamore2438Atlantic City tax evasion is a 15 min gig. Takes a lot to grind for union armor or other items, and you can get more legendary in moonshine jamboree. However, Atlantic is easier than the Pitt if you’re looking for something in between daily ops and events.
I play for the challenge and the fun of it. The second stage is by far the most fun for me.
OP eh? Tried PVP?
Tell me how that goes
Clown
Great points, and very much agree. I think the raid addition hurts the game more then it helped.
They deffio should've added an intro quest. At the very least, have us go talk to MODUS & have him explain what's going on & who Sigma Squad is.
Then go play Destiny 2.
Amazing video, and especially how well you articulate your message! Bravo!
I'm constantly crashing/freezing on the snake on PS5 it's a complete joke
pc here.. cant open ring menu on aný big event without nearlý freezing
Oh yeah, when I accidentally press the hotkey menu button during a boss battle is the worst.
Everyone’s not equal there are douche bag who stack power armor
There are those that suck and cry, too.
stage 2 is the most comfortable and therapeutic stage. all you do is run while a team mate protects. the jump scares are funny too so im not even mad when i suddenly get one shotted from a corner. it's similar to From Ashes to Fire and I like that aspect of just running around collecting objectives and avoiding obstacles etc. it'd be nice if there are more 'casual' party stuff that doesnt involve combat but feature puzzle-like challenges or mobility-based stuff.
I actually tried to play this on the ps5 to see what it was like,All the above I experienced and immediately went straight back to pc
It was so bad I thought to myself how are people on consoles playing this when it’s this bad if I didn’t have a pc I don’t think I would have the patience to play it on console
He's right I can't get good at the drill or the snake case I can't practice.
Simple as.
“People gave me the thumbs down emote when I died right away twice in a row.”
Well of course they did. Why won’t people raid with me!?”
2) *Loss of Choice* “It was too much to expect to tank as a bloodied character.” Well you don’t stand still in front of EN06 solo for starters, let’s get that out of the way.
3) *it’s all about the rewards*
Well yeah.
As an ex destiny 1 and 2 player I was genetically modified for farming raid
Raids have turned into cheese events. I guess getting tons of exp for a not too hard event is ok. Remember the old vault raids? Those were hard. And I'm not impressed with any of the 4 stars so far. Already bored with the event. But the game isn't centered around the raids so...
So I assume you have the gold player icon from Vault 94
Hello
I think it's a great idea to do this, to have to adapt.
Nah. The raids are terrible.
@@Soulpuppet the people that complain are the people the suck at raids or try to mooch off of others
@@Soulpuppet Nah. non-gamers cosplaying as gamers are terrible.
@@yaboirichard591 Facts!
Wonderful insight. Thank you for sharing
@@abcdefgcdefg5178
What exactly are you doing to run bloodied?
@@LogicallyKnot He isn't. He's just being that stereotypical contrarian, even to the cliched "I know a guy" comment at the end.
I'm level 405 or level 25--trying to return--open to either character build.
I'll probably NEVER play raids
Also you have to join the right team. Not all teams are intolerant to new players.
Exactly what I was thinking
Yup, I found that a full troubleshooter's set is the key.
I can't be arsed.
If its shooting was fluid like Destiny or Doom I'd be all for it, but when it comes to the end game I can't be arsed to fight the jank.
The raid is similar to when the professor forces you to group up with other students, otherwise you fail the assignment. I ended up failing a lot lol
Good analogy .. I still have nightmares LOL
The great community in game and online on FO76 is very helpful, and IMO, one of the reasons I have found myself keep coming back despite the fact on ps5, I still randomly disconnect even outside of raid.
thank you for being the only sane person in this comment section.
Exactly, that's one of my major concerns. When everybody has 4-star gear then that will be the new "normal" that the game will be based around.
The logic in this video is top notch.
Always felt this way, which is why I don't do the raids.
Good to hear that you've found a group that shares your mindset. That's the best way to have fun.
100% agree I have never done raids ,the format seems that it excludes some then you feel you are missing the new gear its a shame there is not another way to collect
Its endgame content. As in lvl 500+. By lvl 500 you will have all that gear.
It looks like to me you have the wrong weapon, Try a faster firing vampire. Just some friendly advice.
There's footage of me using a vampiric plasma caster when I was testing the Sentinel's Union set. After that I was relying more on ricochet to bring the shield down.
@@SequentialGamerFallout Ever try a Vampire Gauss Minigun?
I like raids but yes they do feel...off like you said it's different than what we are use too but technically so was daily ops and expeditions at least to me. I like all 3 it's just not the normal fallout many of us are use to although different is not always a bad thing I just hope they expand on the lore behind the scientific forge we run through that's the birthplace of the scorched plague, Grafton monster, and the snallygaster if I'm not mistaken and supposedly that place somehow physically connects to the research facility in the Forest Region but there's no canon evidence.
it resembles reward menu for expeditions. and yeah its boring after 2 weeks
If you think think stage 5 is rough you definitely should consider a new build
@ I pretty much said that. …”mods and such.” “And such” being build, buffs…
All good, I don't expect everyone to agree with me!
Great points
i think end game content for me at least is great it makes me want to play the rest of the game to get the gear and levels needed to do the raid but theyre not for everyone
For the rewards. And let me tell you... 100+ Raids later, I have all the things I need, and I'm not going back! I'm burnt out!
Yeah, 4-star enemies are on the roadmap already so they're definitely coming.
@SequentialGamerFallout Oh great can't wait
;tldr I agree with all of your points
The Raids are a thing to do but they were not implemented properly due to how the rewards were setup.
Summary: it is not about me, or most of you that play a lot, this is about the casual player that already will never see Earl and is really close to being boxed out of getting a shot at the Raids once we are all burned out on it
What console are you on? Can you sell me pounders please?
@@bruno5549 that is an odd takeaway from my post, I don’t sell anything ingame as there are far too many ways for people to rip you off and I don’t have anything in my profile public since Red Dead Online teaches you that jailbroken systems leaves your IP wide open.
So unless I know you ready chances are you won’t be able to hook up with me ingame.
@jidadt3645
I meant with caps in game with trading. Not with real Money sir
I definitely agree
I’m already level 600 and I’m still weary of raids. It’s not that I’m not intrigued, but it’s what I’m lacking to properly prepare because you first have to tackle the horrendous rng trenches. The amount of legendaries I’m hoarding to learn the mods that I need is ridiculous, and even then it’s daunting to know how easily you can die with the tanky equipment you took ages to farm.
Trade with other players to get the mods you need like market76
5 Star legendary mods incoming.
