That turned out really beautiful ❤ That was a crazy amount of sanding and I would never do it as I hate sanding so much but the finished product is stunning and I hope you sell it for at least $1000. You deserve that and more for all that work!
I don't like splayed legs but the way you have them inset makes the whole piece wonderful. Chestnut is my guess. Love the drawer pulls and good call to just have another one made.
Hi Alona, new to your channel. I'm also Canadian, I live in Northeastern Ontario, I also love woodworking projects but our summers are so short, it's difficult ...This dresser looks like it was a lot of work but turned out beautiful...Salut...
Great job and story! Love that you saved a piece from disaster. Epoxy is too hard when dry to sand rhe way you were wanting to. It also won't stain because it's plaatic. There are products that WILL work for that purpose though, like stainable wood filler. Epoxy isn't usually the best to use on restoring furniture. It's more for using where you need a ton of strength such as regluing a tricky stress joint. Adding the sawdust to regular wood glue is a good wood filler but again, putting it in the center of the top like that you run the risk of it not taking the stain as well as the surrounding wood.
Thank you so much:) about the epoxy - I started using it as a wood filler a while ago , not just an epoxy itself but mixed with a lot of wood chips or wood dust, it makes the mixture stainable. And it always worked for me. I have tried so many different wood fillers, wood putty’s etc. and I found my favourites but none of them works as good as the epoxy mixture. I just have to be careful experimenting with an epoxy from different stores and stick to the one that works for me. And also I have to remember that sometimes less is more 😄
Thank you🌷🌷🌷Mostly learning that I have to be less impulsive and more balanced inside if something goes wrong :) Frustration doesn’t help and makes me make wrong decisions 🙃

Thank you so much :) my least favourite part is cleaning. I’d rather sand than clean 😂😂😂 I sold it a little bit less than that, $800

Welcome to my channel 🫶🏻 Our summers are not too long either but I am lucky to have heated garage, I can work there any time of the year
