I'm only at the second vault and on my first playthrough.. I'm also not super familiar with BL games. Even with all the sdu upgrades it's still too small? What kind of stuff are u guys saving? Maybe I'm throwing away too much?
null pointer sniper after the Zero quest is awesome u can hipfire with it pretty well too and had a bunch of extra abilities crit weapon damage fire rate and reload speed

@@Georgeg15 does part combinations really count as different weapons tho? Borderlands 3 advertised billions of guns and what not but two of the same gun one with magazine increase that decreases damage and one with lower magazine and higher damage they are still the same gun with just slightly different stats.

@@MAZEY22 you can only have 3 mules though and you have to renounce playing with them if you use them as mules. So 120 extra slots, but you are stuck with playing one character.

I think every hero is good in there own way. the siren has an amazing skillset that makes her good and moze is good 2 . with all builds built correctly . everyone is a bada$$ . and I think that's how it should be.

The Chomper Shotgun you get from the lord of the rings quest is amaaaaaaazing, is have a hella high range and a fuckton of damage.

finally somebody that said it thats an underlooked gun if i ever saw one possibly the only unique ive kept along with a purple jakobs masher and an xxl tediore gun. This gun is a beast either with moze amara or fl4k it kills everyone in rooms its like a better flakker due to its range

Fav blue so far is a cov fire pistol which doesn't consume bullets or overheat.
Got from a quest on eden 6 where you follow chad through a variety of stunts.

I love this, it does actually overheat sometimes, and breaks sometimes, but you can shoot a good thousand rounds or so before it happens for the first time, like I used it for 5 minutes straight and it only overheated twice

@@MrRusdawg A double penetrating blister is a torgue/alien hybrid gun that is essentially a flame thrower that can spawn fire and other elements such as radiation, shock and corrosive. It can even come as anointed. I've even managed to get a version that has a higher base damage than Elon's flame thrower at level 50. Elon's is 197 all the time as far as I know while the Blister I have is like 225. So it scales in damage to higher damage.
Eden-6 Chad sidequests reward is a blue pistol called The Chad, it's an infinity pistol

like the sniper rifle you get from zero after a mission (just because he gives you it) the butplug pistol....etc etc
Sometimes they are 1 of a kind weapons you get ftom side missions. For me at least, just that factor alone is enough to save in the bank or dieplay in your room on sanctuary.
Emory Reid I’m the opposite. Those are the first weapons I trash because I know can get those types of weapons basically whenever I want

there is a unique blue jakobs sniper call the hunt(er) ,2551 damage at lvl50, and does 175% increased damage to Creatures, i dunno if it was meant to be Beast,but it works againts beast; 1m crit with the 50% sniper damage buff from Mayhem. You get it from the side quest Wildlife Conservation. I might test if it works with the legendary mod from flak that treat bosses as Humans,Beast and Robots.

I got one in a random drop early game and used it for over 20 levels. Found another one in a vending machine after I hit 50 and have been using it ever since. The best anti horde option I have found by far.
at level 14, I got a blue Maliwan shotgun that has a 70 percent chance to do 190 radiation/corrosive damage per second. still my main gun at level 22.
Loop of angel is a great blue shield, it comes from the childhoods end mission in Konrad's Hold, or a bounty board in sanctuary III.
I think it’s a purple, but there’s a Hyperion Smg you can get from a later clap list quest that has double projectiles, an did even more damage for me than some of the nicer legendaries at the time as Flak.
I think the pipebomb should not be nerfed and here is my reasoning. When you start your run on TVHM you can not select a Mayhem difficulty until you complete it, so level 50 characters can just blow thru this mode which is a waste when you are going thru the missions and its a cakewalk. You have to keep incentives to keep players attention to keep playing and if they start nerfing mission rewards then that is less incentive to run thru that mode since most players are fine with normal mode mayhem 1-3. Just my thought.
I hope the update gives us more space for items because I have too many anointed legendaries.
To be fair 50 is ridiculously small as I have to share multiple legendarys on multiple characters due to the lack of space for items.
Just wait untill you look in your bank and all 50 legendarys are gone and your bank is empty!

Iv also had this happen on xbox. Heard its linked to the pre order items. Do not know for sure but iv kept all dlc items outa my bank sence it happened to me and it hasnt happened again.

i feel like the "the boo" is the best blue weapon if u are fighting a boss just keep throwing them out and hide behind cover lol literally gets u pass most situations u would normally be stuck in lol

@@Dogeekush the boo+ gun is a reward item for the mission "invasion of privacy" on Athena. It's that mission where the guy reads from her diary in case you forget it.
Best blue I've used so far that out competes multiple of my legendarys is pa's rifle a jakobs AR it's very very good
Great rifle. I got it a little late in the game and it still shreds enemies. I love the shock damage and chain it creates
I have a blue COV SMG named the Extreme Hangin Chudd 999 shots to break, but don't break, or use ammo! 346x2 dmg 323 fire dmg

Got a Lv 40 shotgun. Does 8000+ Incendiary per/s. And around 4000 base attack damage. Uses 4 ammo per shot but has 49% chance for incendiary effect. Currently looking for a Lv. 50 but this has to be among the most rare kind of gun in the game despite only being blue tier. Full playthrough and a bit of Mayhem 3 and I have only ever seen about 2 or 3 so far. In comparison I have around 200 Legendaries dropped up to now.
Correct.... I found tonight a LEVEL 50 BLUE 9 magazine Alien Torque shotgun that does 8218 base damage and has a radiation damage of 16,642 / sec at 46% ... 4 ammo used per shot... also +25% damage, +203 Splash Radius and has suffix that irradiated enemies damage enemies around them ... and... it's Anointed Gunner that after leaving Iron Bear the next 2 magazines have +40% incendiary. When it fires 1 shot goes out and where ever that lands it divides into three separate bombs spread out.
I tried it on Troy Mayhem 3 and it melted him beyond recognition very quickly... I spent 5x as long waiting for him to become vulnerable again than it takes to end him each time.
Whispering Ice grenade (purple tier) is pretty damn good IMO. I believe you get it as part of the story (after beating Aurelia)

Gamer Singer when I went through the story again on TVHM I got it as a story mission reward but not for the Aurelia fight - it’s for completing Lair of the Harpy

There is a blue Jakobs sniper called The Hunt(ed) that is pretty unique with its perk. It does damage increase against robots by 175%. I got to drop from a Maliwan Heavy troop in Desolations Edge. And its pretty awesome to use.

The hunt(ed) and the hunt(er). Maybe not the most powerful but really cool and unique as that are the only snipers that don't have scopes on them
I have found a purple shotgun that literally shoots mini porcelain pipe-bombs. Its called the Itchy Gratifying Protuberance and does 8613×3 splash dmg but does a massive 18314 rad dmg/s.
is it unique? And does it have a farm spot? Sounds great for a demolition Moze build.
@@ASpicyApple It can be a blue rarity OR purple rarity and Torgue only. And it doesnt have any red flavor text. It ALWAYS has an alien barrel and just 1 dmg number no (x3) or anything. Just a flat 8k dmg. Sadly its just a world drop like everything else but ill say, ive gotten at least 2 from the super badass, 3 health-bar bandits in Konrads hold where sloth is.
Found the Torgue: Gratifying Carbunkle pistol at level 21 and it carried me to level 40

A level 22 optimized Q system did the same for me. I bought a new one at level 39.
Now Atlas guns have a 25% buff so they're more op.
I can see why, a Gratifying Carbuncle is a god roll version since you get increased damage with one no matter what element it may spawn with. :) (As far as I know!) I just loved my Carbuncle for the insane explosive/elemental and Crit damage it could do.
It's one of the reasons I started to really like the bonus effects that alien-hybrids bring to any manufacturer, I just wish they would LIST the effect somewhere and not leave it to be discovered. Like some alien-hybrids fire 2 shots that bounce, some start out low on the card but actually damage jump to 4x the damage with the only thing that reads "Increased damage the longer you fire" being your clue. I had even found an alien on a Torgue rocket launcher that even fired two MASSIVE balls that did arcing damage to any nearby enemies until they exploded, doing huge damage.
@@airiakizuki5592 Atlas guns, especially the Optimized Q-System are very fun and powerful to use. :) I look for damage, mag size and homing times, everything else is secondary on a Atlas.
Lately i've fallen in love with a Hyperion SMG thats a quest reward. It does even more damage than my level 50 Q system. I think its called LoveMachine or something.

There is a shotgun I had in 1st play through called the interloper this gun was amazing had like 3k splash damage and had 91% chance to infect. I’ve never seen it again if u know anyone who has it plz let me know
The torgue elemental shotties with alien barrels are broken OP, was using a level 26 in mayhem 2, just found another (random world drop) it's 73% chance for 12000/sec radiation, it's a monster, been looking online and it seems not many people know about these, enjoy while u can!

Yep. Got a Lv 40. Currently looking for a LV. 50. Outdamages literally anything at max level so far and being 10 levels behind has got to be a mistake or something on the developers part. Trouble is that it seems so rare to come across. Around 200 legendaries. But maybe 2 or 3 max of those shotguns. So frustrating since they make Mayhem 3 a whole lot easier.
Gamer Singer rare enough that no content creator I know of has made a vid about them. Tbh I’m glad though, hopefully these stay untouched by nerfs. definitely my favourite gun, try slaughterstar 3000 for farming, got 2 to drop there in different elements.
@@joshcouture7005I've seen them drop rarely even in vending machines (the interloper) but I don't think most content creators care about alien-hybrid guns unless they're legendary. Would be nice to see someone do a "best alien-hybrid weapons in Borderlands" video or at least tell HOW to tell what the effects of the name/alien parts are. I personally would love to know that so I can just look at one and go "Cool, I want that." lol! Some have really cool effects too. twin reflecting shots, increased damage over time, giant balls with arc damage, or even a flamethrower effect like the Elon gun.

So... I just got the pipe bomb at level 50 and it's absolutely melting loudmouth on mayhem 1. I just beat the game recently and my game always asks me to update when I press start. I never pick yes, but was wondering if that's why it's still so good. I am playing as moze
I got an COV Pistol that shoots fire bullets, it also shoots 2x bullets at a time. But costs no ammo at all and doesnt overheat :D thats my go-to Weapon for bosses :D unlimited shots

You get it on a mission on Eden-6 after helping Chad from the waterfall area do a couple of stunts

Any Protuberance. Mine is lv 40 with 8000+ dmg/sec incendiary with 49% chance. Currently looking for lv.50 but they are so difficult to find. Legendaries are no problem with around 200+ dropped so far but found only about 3 of these shotguns this whole time.
Yep I've got a lvl 20 stimulating Protuberance that does almost 800 damage with a 46% chance to do 1400 shock damage per second, so sick! I can 3 shot the Kataga waa ball with it at lvl 21.
Hangin Chad is one of the best guns in the game for SURE

I have nothing against the guns in particular, but why is a blue weapon better than a legendary? I am used to games having a rarity system that matters.. The blue gun even has a handy perk you want to have and it is a viable gun in itself! Shouldn't this gun be a legendary? I sometimes get drops from blue and purple rarity and they have more damage then legendaries.. or when i went through the story some guns were a lot stronger than the higher level AND rarity guns i got as drops.. I just want to understand this system..
They did it that way so that people won't just farm for legendaries and then stop playing. The ones who want to play the game with the best DPS will be the ones that hardly use ANY legendary weapons in my opinion. Those kind of people will have 1 legendary they find they like such as... they Lyuda or the Flakker. The rest will be blue or purple drops that out-do every other weapon and let's face it. Blue or Purples are going to be random rolls, causing people to farm all over the game and thus playing BL3 for a lot longer just like how people keep playing Borderlands 2 for that better roll on a weapon. Besides red flavored Blue's and alien-hybrid's are also just like legendary weapons in their own right.

chris vannatter If you need the items from a quest you have to do tvh. You can reset the missions on tvh over and over again. If you need an item from a drop just do MH3

Yo I have a basic assault rifle that has 485x2 dmg lvl47 and it beats even legendary weapon lvl 50 ....
Sadly unless a legendary weapon has a x2 multiplier on it, MOST of them them are underpowered compared to their non-legendary counterparts.

Why do you show this stuff below level 50...? The numbers are kind of irrelevant and we can't see how the weapons actually perform in the real content
I've rarely found a legendary that's any good. I mainly use epic gear. Legendary seem too much gimmick and not enough real firepower.
Quite alot of legendaries are really good because of the stats but as you said their gimmicky.Not very effective in combat due to the uniqueness for example the duc(legendary revolver).It fires mines which deal great damage and above avarage stats but you could easily use a epic revolver which deals more damage per second.
@@alexleigh3155 pretty much. I mean the gimmicks are cool, just not very useful. In fact plain old Jacob's is my go to for most weapons such as revolver, assault rifle and sniper. Some COV are nice. The gimmicks are fun but halfway through a fight you're switching it out for something that actually works.

@@alexleigh3155 out of curiosity, what do you use for the SMG and rocket launcher? Can't find a nice SMG and my launchers I keep switching out. I keep coming back to the Vladof mini rocket launcher but I'm sure there's better out there?
@@alexleigh3155 oh yeah, almost forgot, the sawbars you mentioned...COV has a nice one for accuracy because it has an extendable handle. It was my go to for assault rifle until I decided to go with Jacobs.

Guys just use a purple masher they’re probably the best guns in the game . These blue guns aren’t great especially the butt plug , an awful gun . The best blue guns are probably torque shotguns , they’re insane .
Obviously the butt plug is a great melee weapon but it’s not a good gun really .

I've played for several days now and, now at lv 50 I'm yet to find ANY sniper better than the blue NON UNIQUE Jakobs I have.

just kill all zer0`s targets of opportunity and get lyuda.. thats only sniper you need

Alot of guns stat wise are worse than epic rarity jakobs snipers however its their effects that make the difference. Try to try out new gear not totally based on stats ESPECIALLY if you are dealing with legendairies
I'm not surprised to be honest, most legendary snipers (aside from the Monocole or Lyuda) seem to be meh.
I know its been 4 years, but one everyone always seems to overlook is the Stagecoach shotgun.
Even the green ones with a good roll are better than a lot of the legendary shotties.
Hey need help... I found a BLUE 9 magazine Alien Torque shotgun that does 8218 base damage and has a radiation damage of 16,642 / sec at 46% ... 4 ammo used per shot... also +25% damage, +203 Splash Radius and has suffix that irradiated enemies damage enemies around them ... and... it's Anointed Gunner that after leaving Iron Bear the next 2 magazines have +40% incendiary. When it fires 1 shot goes out and where ever that lands it divides into three separate bombs spread out.
Is that good or can I expect to find better in the future? I tried it on Troy Mayhem 3 and it melted him beyond recognition very quickly... I spent 5x as long waiting for him to become vulnerable again than it takes to end him each time.
So a blue jakobs is better than the headsplosion and its special effect, i doubt about it....
Torgue elemental shotguns with alien barrels are absolutely the best guns in the game, "Ithchy Shredded Protuberance" found in mayem 3 does 12000/ sec radiation damage...it's hands down the best gun I have. Only down side is not being interested in any other gun upgrade but a different elemental version.
