Haya I listen lot of gossips about harvey tools. I m machinist, working as a cnc milling operator. I wana use some of ur tools. Plz guide me how i contact u. I m from pakistan.
Harvey's 99.8% order fulfillment accuracy rate being commensurate with a software based system, pleases me for some reason. And this lady tour guide is a gem; she really knows her stuff. Well done.
I’m a truck driver, and I didn’t understand 99% of what the VP guy was saying, but I was fascinated. What is it about machines, gears, metal, and tiny end mills that makes so many of us have a hard time not watching? I don’t know but thanks for all the awesome tours.
As a former inventory manager I really appreciate all you do to make the picking easier and more accurate. A major requirement for any of our contractors that handled our inventory was 100% absolute inventory accuracy.
MEGAN Amazing !!! , and I was questioning the interest/educational value of touring the warehouse, boy did Megan show me a thing or two. Harvey is lucky to have her running that operation. . . THANKS.
Also John I want to thank you sincerely for doing all this work. I know you enjoy it, too, but you're doing a real service for everyone else here who doesn't have the means and opportunity to take these tours and learn from these incredible people
Tried the rest, Harvey is the best. 2 flute 1/4" diamond coated lasts forever and the surface finish is outstanding. Literally 300% longer than the others we tried.
So does anyone know if they have to be careful with the coolant direction and "pressure" on that Swiss machine for those micro/nano tools? Would it be possible for coolant to deflect or break those micro tools during the process?
The first machine they showed was a hydrostatic machine it depends on hydraulic fluid keep metal to metal contact happening, what happens when the machine is turn off is there some type of breaking mechanism to hold it in place?
Excellent tour; Harvey has some very interesting cutters for hardened steel. On that subject, I would be *really* interested to see your take on Tormach's DiJet end mill for hardened steel.
Super excited! I am keen to see if it will work on knife profiles. The inserts for harder material have a large radius an look like they would be great for roughing out profiles better and more economically than a ball end mill.
We use Harvey tools for a lot of our graphite electrode machining. Extended reach .01" flats and ballnose like you would'nt believe. Awesome tools, I'm going to have to steal some of their organization ideas.
When I’m looking for a weird tool, first place i look is Harvey. For regular type end mills i ran another brand for 10+ years, was recommended to try helical solutions, and i was blown away, bigger cuts, tons more speeds and feeds than the other brand would ever hold up too. Literally have taken 10 min cycles to under 4 min and getting longer life from the tools. I’ll never go back to my old brand
For that lollipop cutter, don't you think the carbide blanks arrive with the step down in diameter at nearly finished dimensions? I can't imagine they are really taking a 1/2" blank and grinding all that carbide away. I might misunderstand what you meant.
We use a lot of Walter machines to grind the Helical Solutions product, which is done in the same facility. John also has a video on that! ruclips.net/video/rXA4x5Cjfg8/видео.html
Serious question- where do you get grinding wheels that fine to make the 0.001" endmill? I have some watch screws in an exotic material I'd like to thread grind on a manual toolmaker's lathe. Always wandered what machines and setup they used to do these- absolutely incredible tour.
I listen lot of gossip about harvey tools. I am machinist, working on cnc milling. I wana purchase some tools. How can i contact you. I m from pakistan. So help plz
Very informative, thank you. I've looked at them in the past. Neither Harvey nor their two central Ohio distributors take online orders so I buy from other companies. Possibly a new SMW venture, Harvey Tool distributor with online ordering?
Guillaume Van Der Meulen I imagine you could run it as fast as you can, but a 100k wouldn't be unreasonable if the machine can do it, just a guess though. I never go smaller than .0625.
Nano tech machining must be blowing them up.. 1k endmill. The future is here. New to machining but did inventory and worked for a fortune 50 company that used continuous improvement wrong.. i learned the science from my mentor a manufacturing engineer.. still green in this because my focus is becoming deep in CNC but fascinating video.. harmonics and balance. I liked this one way more than the starret tour. Work with a zollar.. fun machine.
She's a modern day librarian rocking the dewey decimal equivalent system. When the 5 o'clock bell rings, may she lose the glasses and drop the hair down.
See if you can talk them into one of those giveaways like they did on Nickelodeon in the 90s where they let the winner take home as much they could get in their cart in 5 minutes. Except since they'd probably lose $5M in that situational, they have to put everything in a not-yet-unfurled garbage bag and you can only touch things with greasy tweezers
She has to be the best company spokesperson I’ve ever seen. Says a lot about the company for sure.
Thanks for coming out John! Always happy to have you! This came out great!
This is how you sell American Manufacturing
she's amazing super professional and obviously loyal to the brand

That lady knows her product! Very cool.

Amazing products! Amazing company! Amazing people!
Tried the rest, Harvey is the best. 2 flute 1/4" diamond coated lasts forever and the surface finish is outstanding. Literally 300% longer than the others we tried.
I really enjoyed this one. That lady knows her stuff
Sounds like she's done this tour before.. hah. Very professional
Thanks so much John, I love the Factory tours!! Very Cool
I use a lot of tooling from Harvey. Truly outstanding product. thank you for the tour. Matt C.
Fan bloody tastic!! Thanks John. Thanks Harvey Tool
Trying to minimize the Blood, Scott ;)
I'm having trouble wrapping my head around that 0.001" endmill! Stunning workmanship, to be able to create something like that.
Hi John, well another interesting tour, thanks for the efforts! I always enjoy seeing how all this stuff is made!

Absolutely, I enjoyed this, absolutely. Very absolutely.
Nice tours John, Thanks.
Really enjoy the shop tours.
Your shop Tour are amazing, that end mill look like if you breath strong enough you break it.
Excellent tour; Harvey has some very interesting cutters for hardened steel. On that subject, I would be *really* interested to see your take on Tormach's DiJet end mill for hardened steel.
ITS COMING!
Super excited! I am keen to see if it will work on knife profiles. The inserts for harder material have a large radius an look like they would be great for roughing out profiles better and more economically than a ball end mill.
She is awesome!
Man.. she really knows her stuff!
As cool as the endmills are, my favourite part of the video was the lean order fullfilment part 😁
Impressive, right?

Wow! Just amazing.
Very interesting. Thanks once again. Love the vids.
Holy smokes! Never saw such precision eyebrows! Cnc produced?
it's nice to see how they make the tools that i tend to break at work.

Very cool, Thanks, I will take one of every thing .
Harvey and Kennemetal teamed up on some cutters?
How did they do this before computers?
I saw a lot of Walter tags around. Is there a relation between Walter Valenite and Harvey?
We use a lot of Walter machines to grind the Helical Solutions product, which is done in the same facility. John also has a video on that! ruclips.net/video/rXA4x5Cjfg8/видео.html

What is someone cutting, with a .001" endmill?
I've used a .005 EM for a .005 slot before.
Wheel spokes for wrist watch mechanism for instance, if you want a sharp corner you must find the smallest posible endmill
Enjoyed it John, thanks.
I listen lot of gossip about harvey tools. I am machinist, working on cnc milling. I wana purchase some tools. How can i contact you. I m from pakistan. So help plz
Thanks for all
Incredible stuff! I have to start using them :)
This reminds me of working at Ray-Check Mfg Inc. I used micro-drills down to size .002 and drilling steel, stainless, aluminum with it manually.
Oh wow! Harvey Tool! I love this company! So many great tools!
Great Tour!
imagine the Lego collection you could keep in that many bins.
Great video John. If you could put a bandaid on your war wounds I would make for better viewing, thanks.
Very informative, thank you. I've looked at them in the past. Neither Harvey nor their two central Ohio distributors take online orders so I buy from other companies. Possibly a new SMW venture, Harvey Tool distributor with online ordering?
there inventory managment is very cool
Damn, you were not too far from me and would have been welcome to stop by and check out the shop or grab a beer.
Great video and tour thank you.
Impresive ! What would be the correct RPM needed to run the 0.001" endmill , anyone knows ?
Guillaume Van Der Meulen I imagine you could run it as fast as you can, but a 100k wouldn't be unreasonable if the machine can do it, just a guess though. I never go smaller than .0625.
All she's got and then some
Lots of variables would go into that, but you would typically need some serious RPMs as others have stated.
There are so much open-type containers - how do they eliminate thievery? These products are small-sized and perfectrly fit the pockets...
Add to the max

fascinating. Thank you. John
Has anyone used Kyocera and Harvey tool? I want to know the difference
Any one else's OCD get triggered when the lady put the Radius cutter in the tube reverse to how it came out at 12:39?
I did
I've never seen so many bins before. jeeeeze.
She's a modern day librarian rocking the dewey decimal equivalent system. When the 5 o'clock bell rings, may she lose the glasses and drop the hair down.
And I thought I had some tiny end mills -- 0.0394 / 1mm (circuit board applications)
Great vid! wonder how long before that order fulfillment gets automated?
20:10 that beard
He's working on a new Mithril endmill

*those bins gaved me anxiety*
How good is company. GO USA.
All those vidmars 🤤🤓
This an automated message its just for testing purpose you can remove the comment if you want.
lol Brian, you've put on a few pounds.
shes a machine, i want to employ her
Glad this wasnt a complete egg roll fest like usual.
Warehouse, office, whatever lol
Man that warehouse manager has that place squared away! (And I think she likes you...lol jk)
Is a beard required for employment?
SmileytheFeralCat it should be, everywhere!
Was this about tools or something? Was having a hard time paying attention.
a lot of german hardware... muahahahah :D
the helico was way more informative
JUST A ADVERTISMENT FOR HARVEY KIND A SUCKS
