Tip for people who like using kinetic deflection. Since the peril cost for blocking is based on stamina the larger your stamina pool the less peril the block will generate. Using a +3 stamina curio will effectively give you 50% block efficiency when using a deflector force sword.
@@DarkerSavant The block cost remains static but adding more stamina increases the total stamina pool. Peril cost is a portion of total stamina so having more stamina means it costs less peril percentage wise to block while using kinetic deflection. Thus leading to doubling the stamina pool reducing peril cost by 50%.
Respect for releasing this at an odd hour of the night. Listening to this before I head to bed after getting to finally listening to the much anticipated Gun Psyker and getting to learn how you run it
No problem. I just want to get the content out fast so the people who need it can have it. Even if it gets no views, it's all good. The people are what matters
The time you didn't pop at 97 is probably because the threshold for 97 is a bit murky. Since peril actually has a decimal value that doesn't show on the UI, it seems like the actual safe spot is 97.something%, but it means sometimes you pop on 97, sometimes you don't. That definitely still makes 96 the safe spot to aim for, but sometimes 97 will seem to work.
Ah that's right they did mentioned something like that in the patch notes. I guess it applies to everything and not just ammo. This makes sense. 96 is the new safe zone in cade your 97 rounds up to 98 🤣🤣
Thank you for doing a great job helping us learn some of the "less clear" mechanics in this game. Especially as a Psyker main myself, it can get pretty confusing. There is one thing I noticed, though. The dueling sword did look to me to naturally quell faster than the force sword so I timed it a couple times. The force sword took 12 seconds and the dueling sword only took 10 so it actually is a good bit faster.
Oh my word, been playing since console drop and my Psyker's already 30. Had NO IDEA venting shriek could save you from imploding. That's going to be so dang handy.
I only use venting shriek to either save me from exploding or create some space to reposition back with my team. I never use it just to use it cuz then you wont have it when you need it.

Unfortunately we dont have the true peril mod on console and I wish we had qol stuff like that but obviously managing peril is just something you get used to overtime. I wish they could somehow fix peril being s bit misleading at times but it is what it is.
You absolutely can pop with smite. Hold RMB until it reaches 100% before you click LMB will put you into struggle mode. Also the last tick knockback is not pushing enemies away from you, but throwing them towards your facing direcrion instead. If you look to your left, enemies tethered by the smite will be thrown to the left, etc.
Smite's RMB should be a fixed amount of charge unlike the others. So popping would be a very extreme case and circumstance. I'll test it to verify shortly Edit: We have verified that RMB does increase charge but at an exceptionally slow rate compared to other powers. As smite does low damage it would be advisable to use it while your peril is as low as possible, therefore getting the maximum stun duration from your smite.
@@RealAsianRobotIt's something like 1% per second. Very slow but still does go up. On top of that, if you have at least 1 stack of Empowered Psionics, you do not pop even when released at 100%. Your cast will be interrupted and you will lose the charge though.
We have verified this information and it is correct. However the pop with Smite would be an exceptionally rare circumstance as most using smite should not be using it so close to 100%. However, thanks for testing that extreme circumstance. Its peril increase tick is slower than all other powers. As for the push away, that's a fair statement. To date, I have only really ever used it for the knockback/knockdown. I suppose the directional thrust may be useful near a cliff or a drop.
@romamoran1337 yeah I am trying to avoid the infinite but for now 🤣🤣, but it's actually slower than 1% per second I think. Or it seemed to be to me, I didn't thoroughly measure it, but I legit thought it was capped because it always seem to hit a number and then stay there for a minute.
You're right, but I find those abilities pretty niche and not commonly used. They exist, but are not normally used in combat and since my content is aimed at a general audience, I focused on the core items that are used 99% of the time. Did you watch the newbie guide? The newbie guide is not level specific, it just teaches you all the important stuff you need to know. Also, some of the things you should experience for yourself. Don't worry if you're totally new to the game itself. The first difficulty (sedition) is great for getting a feel for the game. But it is imperative that you watch the newbie guide (not the leveling guide for Psykers).
@RealAsianRobot yeah I saw your early vid but it focused on already having 11 perk points. It showed me the map and buying weapons and the psykanum meatgrinder and such, but I guess I was thinking about not looking like a dipstick when I walk into a 1 difficulty run with my first character, and which class it is best to pick to learn the game. Maybe some advice on some solid choices to make while earning my first few points like the first guns and melee weapons that I should look at buying with my first docats (I think I got some in game resources when I bought the game on preorder before I realised my computer sucks, and never refunded it in hope I'd upgrade soon, so i think i can afford to buy stuff as soon as the shop opens for me.) That being said, the newbie guide I saw did have stuff that I will find useful, maybe I'm just uncommonly worried about toxic players and want to arm myself with knowledge to prevent them targeting me again.
@last2nkow you're definitely overthinking it mate lol. Just go into difficulty one, relax and have a good time. If anyone is toxic in difficulty 1 of all things, I would be extremely concerned for the future of this game 🤣🤣. At the end of the day, it's a game, people only ever get mad or toxic if you do the hardest difficulty (I.e. Damnation, which is difficulty 5) and you're not ready for it because you never watched streams, vids, etc. For difficulty 1 up to 3. Relax and have a good time, learn the mechanics and maps slowly and just enjoy the game and amazing soundtracks 😁👍. You will be alright lol. You only need to arm yourself with knowledge once you hit level 30. Everything until then is practically your tutorial 😁👍 I promise you this my dude
