Hiking ai Simbruini: Camposecco e Camerata Vecchia. Lazio

Percorso: dal Fontanile di Camerata Nuova (833 m), in leggera salita a fianco del Fosso Luisa per 2 km. Breve continuazione nel bosco, poi si prosegue per 3 km per i prati dell'altopiano di Camposecco, con vari laghetti artificiali. Si incrocia il Fontanile Camposecco (1.334 m) e subito dopo il Rifugio Camposecco (1.324 m). Il rifugio è chiuso, necessita del permesso per ottenerne le chiavi di accesso. Per facile fuori sentiero saliamo al Monte Camposecco (1.494 m), con un migliore vista sui monti circostanti, e dove pascolano liberamente placidi cavalli. Iniziamo il rientro percorrendo la dorsale. Al km 9 della traccia ci abbassiamo di quota per seguire un vecchio sentiero, ma la vegetazione è troppo fitta, meglio proseguire la dorsale fino ai ruderi di Camerata Vecchia (1.226 m), costruita su di uno sperone calcareo, e distrutta dall'incendio del 1859. Ci offre un bel panorama sulla Piana del Cavaliere e sul Santuario della Madonna delle Grazie

Route: from the Fontanile di Camerata Nuova (833 m), slightly uphill alongside the Fosso Luisa for 2 km. Brief continuation in the woods, then continue for 3 km through the meadows of the Camposecco plateau, with various artificial lakes. You cross the Fontanile Camposecco (1,334 m) and immediately after the Rifugio Camposecco (1,324 m). The refuge is closed, you need permission to obtain the access keys. For easy off-trail we go up to Monte Camposecco (1,494 m), with a better view of the surrounding mountains, and where placid horses graze freely. We begin the return journey along the ridge. At km 9 of the track we lower our altitude to follow an old path, but the vegetation is too dense, it is better to continue along the ridge up to the ruins of Camerata Vecchia (1,226 m), built on a limestone spur, and destroyed by the fire of 1859. It offers us a beautiful view of the Piana del Cavaliere and the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie
