Ferrata Caspai, alla vetta delle Corna di Caspai, fra i Laghi del Bresciano

Percorso: si parcheggia nel paese di Lodrino (Brescia), 100 m sopra il ristorante Genzianella (quota 860 m). 25’ di facile avvicinamento per raggiungere l’attacco della ferrata Caspai. Ferrata piuttosto impegnativa, esposta, poche staffe ma presenti le maniglie dove assenti gli appigli. Caratterizzata da buona roccia con diversi tratti arrampicabili, anche se le elevate difficoltà invitano alla prudenza. Molti i traversi e numerosi i saliscendi. L’ultimo parte, una variante evitabile, è composta da quattro sezioni che presentano traversi e verticali strapiombanti, senza vie di fuga. La fine è la croce di vetta delle Corna di Caspai (1.393 m). Siamo scesi per il Passo della Cavada (1.159 m), continuando la discesa per un sentiero meno ripido, ma salvaginocchia
Distanza: 6,7 km. Dislivello: 1.175 m, da 860 m a 1.393 m
Livello: sentiero EEA, classificato D, mentre l’ultima parte valutato estremamente difficile (E). Considerare anche la lunghezza della ferrata (3h+) e il costante livello di difficoltà
Equipaggiamento: casco, guanti da arrampicata, longe di sosta, scarpe da avvicinamento con climbing zone, imbrago e kit ferrata
