      to Trevor.
As you probably already know, Japan's All-Star team has a quota for director recommendations separate from fan voting.
There are two days for this year's All-Star Game.
Fans will do their best to vote, so please sell yourself to Daisuke Miura to be recommended by the director.
If you continue to throw good pitches like these two games, you will be selected by the director's recommendation even if you fail the ballot.
A lot of Japanese baseball fans want to see you play against legends Yuki Yanagida and Takeya Nakamura in the All-Star Game!

Trevor needs to teach foreigners how to register in English on social media.

By the way, did you know that there are other ways to get into the All-Star Game besides getting first place in the fan ballot? There are the players' ballot, the manager's nomination, and the "plus-one" ballot. I am assuming that you will be selected by the players' ballot. Please ask the team staff for more information!

However, as we can see on his videos, he has worked hard to adapt to Japanese baseball and has actually been quite good in his last few games. Besides, many Japanese hitters are eager to face the Cy Young Award-winning pitcher. He has been hated in the US, but on the contrary, he is loved by many baseball fans and players in Japan. I think this is because his diligent attitude toward baseball fits the Japanese mentality.

In the past four days, Trevor has increased his vote count significantly and moved up from 7th to 4th place. He still has a big vote gap from the top, but he is catching up fast. I hope this vote will be the result he wants.
Indeed, the voting page is in Japanese, so it may be difficult for foreign visitors to understand. However, voting is easy and takes only a minute, so please try it using translation tools.
How to vote (sorry if this is not clear)
    1. Jump to the URL indicated by Trevor in the comments section here and go to the bottom of the linked page.
    2. Press the red button on the right. (If you have an account, you can log in here and enter the voting page. Please see the section 6 for details.)
    3. First, create an account. There are two blue buttons, press the bottom one (marked “会員登録”).
    4. Just below the Terms of Use in the blue box, there is a check box. Please check the box (marked “利用規約に同意する”). Next, please enter your email address in the field marked "E-Mailアドレス" and your password in the field below. The second checkbox below it is for signing up for email newsletter (Of course, Japanese ♡), so you can ignore it. Finally, press the blue button at the bottom.
    5. You will receive an email confirming your registration. Please click on the URL in the middle of this email, marked “■本登録URL”. This completes your account registration.
    6. The linked page will probably be a login page, so please log in. If it is different, or if you want to log in a second time or later, press the red button on the linked page Trevor showed as in section 2. Please enter your email address in the field marked "E-Mailアドレス" and your password in the field below. Next, press the blue button just below (marked “ログイン”).
    7. Voting screen. It's a mess, so I'll just explain how to vote for Trevor. The operation is simple: select Trevor from the large green box on the right, and drag and drop him into a gray box on the left. Be sure to move him to the top gray box. The top gray box is the starting pitcher slot, so if you put him in another slot, it will be an invalid vote. Trevor is in the first section (“先発投手”) in the right box. He is marked with “96 T. バウアー”. This screen should default to the Central League screen where Trevor belongs, but if you can't find him, toggle the tab above the gray box to left one. The Central League tab is green with a red C. If you still can’t find him, select the leftmost tab (“ノミネート選手一覧”) from the tabs above the box of player list.
    8. Gray slots other than Trevor’s one can be empty. After selecting Trevor, press the orange button at the bottom of the page. A confirmation screen should appear. Press the orange button at the bottom of the page again. This completes the voting process.

Unlike in the U.S., NPB All-Stars holds either two or three games (depending on the year). This year, there will be two games, and you know what that means: it is easier to play in the NPB All-Star games than in the U.S., where only one game is held. Multiple games means more players will be needed, and therefore more players will be selected. There is a ballot to select the players, and the first place winner for each position is confirmed. However, one player for each position is not enough, so a large number of players are recommended by managers to fill the positions. In the case of Bauer, he has been pitching well recently and has been a topic of conversation, so if he continues as he is now, he will probably be selected by manager's recommendation, even though he cannot be selected by the ballot. If this were just one game, it would be difficult to select him, but since there are two games, I think he will manage to get into the recommended slots. NPB All-Stars is a bit more lenient than the American All-Stars in terms of selection. If this year had held three games, he would have been selected more easily.

    • @pahoopahoo
      @pahoopahoo Год назад +1

I agree with you on the voting. He has pitched well the last few games. However, if you ask me to vote for the best pitcher in the Central League at this point in time, I would immediately say that he does not fall into that category. However, Japanese people are very soft on foreigners, so I assume that a lot of Japanese people will end up voting for him.
As for his video, to be honest, I think the video itself is interesting, but I think it's outrageous that an active professional baseball player would so casually and in such a light-hearted manner during the season, filming and posting videos of the team's facilities and practice sessions.

Even though Trevor didn't get to face Yamamoto in his last start at Orix, Shunpeita Yamashita was not a bad opponent by any means. He's almost certainly a lock for the NPB Rookie of the Year award, and he's being groomed to succeed Yamamoto when he eventually goes to the MLB.
Also I saw a photo of Trevor meeting Yamamoto and I'm dying to ask what kind of Nike cleats Yamamoto's holding cause they don't look like Alpha Huaraches, nor do they look like anything we have in the states.
16:02 fun fact about Kona Takahashi: he went to Driveline last offseason and his fastball now tops at a pretty good 95 mph. Before that it was an uninspiring 91.

Disney would have pulled Dave Chapelle within the first hour and begged for forgiveness to anyone who was offended within that hour. Gotta give props to Netflix for that. They really do cater to both sides of the aisle, which is how it should be: you watch what you want to watch, and skip what you don't.

  • @nstycrv

looks to me like compared to previous years, your hips are opening at foot strike just a bit too early going right to left instead of rotating back to front. That makes your upper body and eventually the release from your hand have just a little right to left upper body yank at the end making your final release point off. So then you're trying to adjust back into the zone using your hand and pressure to compensate for the hip body right to left movement. Think hips rotating forward instead of side to side (Its minimal but affecting the pitches).
