Does anyone remember a few years back when Bauer was hitting against Pittsburgh and started imitating the batting stances of some of his teammates? I think he did Kipnis, Aviles, and Rayburn. Pretty impressive AB as he came back from an 0-2 count to draw a walk. That was gold 🤣
Bauer all joking aside was the worst hitting pitcher in MLB. His friend is 💯 correct on that swing. He is 5/73 career, all singles with 35 Ks. .068 average. 😬 He is an outstanding pitcher fortunately!

This journey is one of the coolest things.. I played in Japan when I was 15.. its such a different experience.. Japanese baseball players are the most fundamentally sound baseball players in the world.. Trevor is a cerebral guy.. he belongs where he is right now.. so cool!!!
Yeah he seems to be learning a bit of new stuff too, excited to see what he brings back to the states and how that’ll effect the game, cause for whatever reason the US is just behind them in terms of fundamentals, just got a much much larger talent pool to pull from so we always have greater room for error, but when you get someone talented and nails the fundamentals you get someone like ohtani

Nice fielding on that hit at 24:40. That's a really tough play - Jomboy did some analysis of similar plays and it's tough to make. Your turn-around and accurate throw was waaay better than the average fielding response there.

What he said, it actually called “Inaka Game” basically directly translated to “Rural Game”. NPB Team will play a “home” game at the city where’s there’s no professional baseball team. The idea is to “cultivate” a grassroots support in the region where’s the team would called as their “Territory”. If we want to compare it to MLB teams and their “blackout territories”, Imagine Detroit Tigers playing a “Home Game” against, let’s say..Milwaukee Brewers at Marquette, Upper Peninsula.. or Chicago Cubs vs St Louis Cardinals playing Home Game at Des Moines. Iowa.. or Mariners vs San Francisco at Portland, Oregon

If we want to compare it to MLB teams and their “blackout territories”, Imagine Detroit Tigers playing a “Home Game” against, let’s say..Milwaukee Brewers at Marquette, Upper Peninsula..
or Chicago Cubs vs St Louis Cardinals playing Home Game at Des Moines. Iowa..

Congrats on your great NPB debut today. Watched you from CA. How do you feel about throwing a NPB’s ball? When pitchers from Japan go to MLB, I hear them saying MLB balls are slipperier than NPB’s and it looks that it prone to cause elbow issue/injury while NPB’s has better grip and you would have better control. What are your impression on this ball differences?
