The NERF Pro Gelfire Raid is an awesome surprise from the much maligned Gelfire line. A pump-action hopper-fed shotgun that boasts 800 Rounds with 5 Shots sent down range per action, it's absolutely the best in the entire NERF Pro Gelfire line! For $40 USD this blaster packs a lot of fun, and if you could use it against Foam Flingers you'd never feel outmatched. Few blasters are this fun, if you can get past occasional jams and the whole Gel ball munitions.

I like the aesthetics of these. They look like NES lightguns. They're funky and brightly coloured enough to look like toys but the off-white/grey makes them look more like a videogame accessory style of toy than a 4yo-kids style of toy. It's subtle but important.

It's definitely interesting. Essentially a Rival spring in there, and the plunger pushes five different plunger heads. But it's 75cc of volume total, more than most things.
NOW TWEAK THE SHELL AND INTERNALS AND MAKE IT FIRE SHORT DARTS, HASBRO
Little tip gellets grow much faster in warm and hot water don’t go boiling them but it’ll save you an hour or two. As for the jamming make sure they are fully grown helps to make sure it feeds and doesn’t get more than five cambered. Have fun y’all.
Also, I love to see that Freddy smiles in the face of danger to make sure that we get accurate chronograph readings.

honest to god I have a nerf rival kronos with a slightly more powerful spring that has over 50 spider kills and around a dozen housefly kills. It doesn't have the range this shotgun does, but try out one of those if you're so inclined, it's such a good little blaster.

Don't think Nerf or even Gel Blaster will ever get rid of the hopper design. Having a big clear hopper on top full of gel balls clearly shows that it's a toy. No accidentally mistaking it for a firearm.

If there's an iteration of the Raid, I think it would make sense to look at the X-Shot Chaos Orbit and copy that a little. A combination internal magazine/ low-profile hopper that can place the ammo under very gentle tension might help resolve issues with feeding and jamming and it might make reloads a bit easier by just pulling back a spring-loaded follower and pouring a bottle of ammo in.
Will we get a video on the Double Pack things? I saw foamquest's video and apparently each pistol, despite being dual-action, shoots over 130fps.
The only problem is the hooper which can be fixed by just tipping the blaster forwards a bit every now and then due to the hooper itself kinda of being dual-level (The front of the hopper has a deeper recess than the back of the hopper)

I suggest NERF could use a V shaped hopper so the can feed the same way but still fit somewhat of a scope in the middle
Definitely the best in the lineup I got a bunch 260+ fps blasters and this one is now my favorite it's essentially an airsoft shotgun design but with 5 barrels and instead of 3 and it works great my only complaint is the pistol grip is a little wobly compared to the rest of the lineup

Them hoppers allow for 12oz soda bottle replacement an higher all that's needed is a rotary tool plus the feed can be improved

"the best car ever", and yet i will have to deny as such. Inner car guy aside, I'm definitely picking one of these blasters up. My cousins like to mess with these gelblaster type things and my green mythic isn't really cutting it anymore.

I have no interest in gel blasters, but I do love the aesthetic. Hasbro half-length dart blasters using that design language would be fantastic.
If you hold the trigger down and pump it multiple times it loads more in. Pump it 2 or 3 times let go of the trigger pump it again and shoots 10 to 15

Maybe need to drain the rounds better? I better stock definitely would have been a plus and a better hopper? I'm thinking a tubular hopper would have been cool with a really light but long travel spring that would push the rounds back into the feed neck would have been awesome.

How do the neef and xshot gel blasters compare to splatrball?
I have one of these, love it to death. Haven't had any jams, but I have gotten impatient waiting for the beads to grow and found that using them just under full size results in it shooting up to 10 at a time, which is really fun

The hoppers are all the same connection for Nerf gelfire, right? So the sleeker, low profile Mr Beast gelfire hopper would fit this? That's the only thing I can think of to improve this!
Other questions, how much can you cut away to Masterkey this? How do the feed necks of these hoppers compare sized to other brands? Do other brands' hoppers fit this and would it correct the jamming issues if you could use other brands' hoppers?

real talk 10,000 rounds is 2000 trigger pulls for this blaster, so it pretty economic
If only we could get these nerf gel fire series to have the glow in the dark system, truly unbeatable to have gel fire fights at night.

Lol Walcom did you know that the model 1887 IS actually a gel blaster, but due to restrictions had to be converted to nerf darts? I believe you can still get the shells and inner barrel somewhere.

I bought the Ghost and both bolt attachment points snapped off and the second time I punched myself in the mouth lol

The treasure we were searching for was the NERF Pro Gelfire Raid inside of us all along.
Use hot water and they basically are done in 30-60 mins
I REALLY wish they would change their standard hopper container to fit the aesthetic more - Make a container that uses something like the ramp system the Helix uses or something that looks a little more flush and integrated, instead of just a funky bottle sticking straight up. It looks like you have to shake a lot of the blasters anyway, so why not?
While I don't like it either, I can appreciate that the hoppers are mostly cross-compatible
@@TrashTawk Mmh, I guess, but that has more to do with the coupling than the container as a whole. You could probably make something smaller and sleeker for a shotgun since it's not spitting out 10+RPS.
