It's interesting that they've made a 5-shot springer shotgun in this line. I'm not really a nerfer but I am an airsofter, and spring shotguns that shoot more than 3 pelletss are almost unheard of (if you want to shoot more than that you gotta use gas, which gets expensive). I assume gel pellets are a lot lighter than airsoft pellets but I hope airsoft manufacturers take a look at this and try to figure out a way to make it work.
Gel balls are also 7.5mm each, so either the blaster uses 5 barrels (which would be a very chonky gun) or they load 5 into the same barrel which would not turn out well
@@ExtraThiccc Judging by the chevron shape of the barrel and pattern the balls are depicted as firing in on the box, I'm guessing it uses a multi-barrel design. I don't think a single-barrel design would even work without a shot cup and wad to hold them in place, which admittedly would be very cool and more realistic than the multi-barrel systems, but I don't think you'd be able to get enough airflow from a spring/plunger system to make that work. There's a line of airsoft guns that operate like that (the APS CAM870s) and not only are they very expensive to buy, they burn through a ton of CO2 to work and the shells are pretty expensive to replace if you lose them. I assume a gel blaster version would be pretty much the same story. Come to think of it, you could probably load gel balls into a CAM870 shell and still have it work, but they were designed for airsoft pellets, not gel balls, so I doubt the performance would be great. They also start at like $300, require copious amounts of CO2 to run, and only realistic-looking designs are available, which might not be an option for a lot of younger players who are into nerf and gel ball blasters.
Im moderately interested in the gel ecosystem. What im really waiting for is more data on how eco-friendly it actually is. Not much good taking something where a big selling point is not having to clean up because the ammo is biodegradable if it turns out to be pumping out a ton of microplastics or something toxic.
Starch based exterior and 100% biodegradable. Whether we like it or not it is the future. In the eu there is talk of banning foam darts due to environmental Concerns including micro plastics.
Gellets/Gel BBs/Gel Rounds iirc are starch and water unless nerf/some guys out of China are doing something weird. So biogedradable is likely not a real concern. And even if there are problems, they likely are not nearly as bad as normal Foam microplastic concerns, or especially Nerf Hyper Rubber concerns.

I’m just saying: you’ve been warned. Pro dart aerodynamics are a bit different. Waffle head darts work on long darts because they don’t go too fast, but on short dart blasters and pro darts in general, the dart head tends to be a little bit smaller than the rest of the dart body, and it appears to be a tad bit more offset than the straighter, more upright had found on waffle head darts. These are for aerodynamic purposes, as this subtle change can improve dart performance. Additionally, it reduces the friction from the barrel in springers, which as we all know use tighter metal barrels around the dart for better seal. Having a smaller head reduces the friction from the rubber against the metal, reducing the energy loss of firing a dart through the metal barrel. So while Accustrike short darts sound like a great idea, they aren’t really

The nerf gelfire duel weld pistols are got to be the very basic weapons you can use, in case of you haven’t got any time reloading the hoppers, and just pulled out and pulling the trigger.
Honestly jumping into the gel thing because, well, other places are banning foam darts due to micro plastic concerns (The EU is apparently considering it?) Honestly the sheer cost benefit of Gellets do help, and they get around environmental worries as they are pretty much just water and starch. Add the immense cost/round value versus anything else, along with the power of even the lower end nerf gelfire ones being far higher than most normal Dart Blasters coming stock and it's a pretty compelling ecosystem. The electric blasters coming with rechargable batteries by default helps too. TBF, I do feel that part of the lack of hype/antagonism against Gel/Nerf Gelfire specifically is due to being worried it may "Eat" the foam flinging hobby. But it's kinda moreso it's the replacement due to regulation eating the foam flinging hobby abroad. And if the EU commits as well then likely can say goodbye to it outside of very cheap or very expensive products sold exclusively in the US
so far gelfire has been everything i want in a line, except the ammo type. The thing is with darts they're a lot easier to pick up but with gelball you're literally just scattering microplastics all over, just poisoning the dirt
Not micro plastic. It’s used a natural starch base and biodegrades. Your foam darts actually scatter micro plastics. The foam used in darts is targeted by the eu for micro plastics contamination.
I'm looking forward to the pistols because I was looking for a gel blaster that did that exact thing that's semi auto and doesn't use c02, isn't electric or anything like that, only spring powered, I'm also gonna try to get the sniper rifle
Don't worry Walcom, I am subscribed. I'm sure a lot of viewers and a lot more in the future aren't subscribed because they are trying to find a new channel after Coop.

The Ripchain is one of my favorite blasters. I dig it. It's just a cool chain fed blaster. I prefer gimmick blasters to battle effective ones. I mean, yeah, I've got a modified Hades, but what's the fun in that? But the Ripchain? It's weird and goofy and just cool. It's got slamfire too, oddly enough. So, question for the expert: which is better? The Ripchain or the Doominator? They're surprisingly similar, and actually a good matchup. They're also both surprisingly weird. Man, I wish Nerf made blasters with imagination like that.
Just for some context, Gel blasters are essentially "legal" airsoft in some countries that have banned airsoft So actual gel blasters are stuff thats full metal and are AEGs essentially. Some use gas but those are a rarity since in many countries that banned airsoft, gas is also hard to find. Most are AKs/M4s, so if you bring a nerf gel blaster you would probably look sorely out of place. So imagine if nerf released an airsoft gun, but its brightly coloured and shoots ~100fps when everyone else is 300fps+ Not to mention everyone is already semi auto/full auto and you are pump action....

The nerf gelfire duel weld pistols are got to be the very basic weapons you can use, in case of you haven’t got any time reloading the hoppers, and just pulled out and pulling the trigger.
love the shirt!
I’m going to buy all of these eventually.
I bought into the Gel Ball ecosystem with the UnLocx 4-in-1. It's a quality blaster and I'm good with that.
If nerf actually decided to drop an epic foam pro line, it would just be absolute insanity
Honestly jumping into the gel thing because, well, other places are banning foam darts due to micro plastic concerns (The EU is apparently considering it?)
Honestly the sheer cost benefit of Gellets do help, and they get around environmental worries as they are pretty much just water and starch.
And if the EU commits as well then likely can say goodbye to it outside of very cheap or very expensive products sold exclusively in the US
You could buy a brand new magstrike for $30. Wait no it costs £30 'cause I'm in the UK right now. About $40.
so far gelfire has been everything i want in a line, except the ammo type.
Oh my god, finally! I have been waiting for this for so long, and I am not disappointed)
Turns out that duel pack seem to hit quite decently someone did a video on it and it did manage to hit with 130+ fps if i remember correctly
I'm looking forward to the pistols because I was looking for a gel blaster that did that exact thing that's semi auto and doesn't use c02, isn't electric or anything like that, only spring powered, I'm also gonna try to get the sniper rifle
A gel fire legion review would still be cool in my opinion
Don't worry Walcom, I am subscribed. I'm sure a lot of viewers and a lot more in the future aren't subscribed because they are trying to find a new channel after Coop.
Walcom, I got my Fortnite flare nerf gun! I love it!!!
Nobody is talking about hyper. Hmm...🤔
The xshot hpg 700 is my first gel blaster and I love it!
I just ordered the Ghost. This is the one I’m most interested in.
I got my ghost on sale for 50% off. I'm happy to try it out when my coworkers want to have our war
Thank you for reading me the book of target... that got me soo good!
super sad that MXL is kinda dead, its a super fun dart to use
and they were easy to modify into "shotguns" which could fire multiple smaller darts
I want to cut up the shells, add proper dart firing internals, and make them accept Talon Mags.
Im getting these lol
Actually I did make a trigger-primed gel blaster (3d printed) but I know how much you guys hate gel balls, so….😂
STARpler

Oh yeah I remember seeing this thing and thinking it was really nifty looking. The light up sights was super rad.
@@WalcomS7 Thank you so much, Walcom :)
hey walcom, nice gundam shirt
Nice shirt!
The shotgun and sniper peak my interest
I like the Gelfire. But I like paintball and airsoft and gelfire is like a mix of them but cheaper. win win
Seem nerf has finally given up on foam flinging and is trying to out do Gel blaster.
the raid seem so cool
Tell you what I'm really excited about the shotgun for this line considering it's actually a shotgun
Im stoked for these!!!! From the Mythic Pro, I know these will be solid quality blasters.
I wish they would just make foam blasters compatible with their gel batteries
sniper looks kinda hype
witch from mercury shirt going hard
You’re one of my favorite RUclipsrs keep the work up❤❤❤
These are pretty neat, but I'm REALLY saving my $$$$ for that Walcom Kirin! :)
I checked out some of the new blasters at comic concert they had some good offerings
where is the blue shock mod video
I will miss coop😢

'Snipper riffle' 🤣
What type of was was that? Looked like a portable battery charger
Just for some context, Gel blasters are essentially "legal" airsoft in some countries that have banned airsoft
So actual gel blasters are stuff thats full metal and are AEGs essentially. Some use gas but those are a rarity since in many countries that banned airsoft, gas is also hard to find. Most are AKs/M4s, so if you bring a nerf gel blaster you would probably look sorely out of place.
So imagine if nerf released an airsoft gun, but its brightly coloured and shoots ~100fps when everyone else is 300fps+
Not to mention everyone is already semi auto/full auto and you are pump action....
I still haven't got into gel blasters but I want to eventually.
I cannot find these gelball shooters in Target or Walmart, these are sold at my local sporting goods stores
OK, where did you get that Witch From Mercury shirt? I need that in my life.
