Every now and then I listen to the old Ricky Gervais Show podcasts. Hearing Ricky talk about how he wants to make Karl famous so many years ago, and seeing this now, it blows me away. The bastard did it.
Mr Feltcher Season 2 Episode 32. It was brilliant. I drive for a living so the past month or so I've been blasting through them all whilst on the road. It's made work a pleasure! People look at me weird when I'm laughing my head off behind the wheel with no-one else in the van.

The Moaning of Life is brilliant. Great to see Karl being himself and not edited into a one dimensional character. His views aren't that weird, me and my gf agree with most of what he says.
I LOVE Karl Pilkington - he is probably the most normal and well adjusted human on the planet. OK he says some pretty crazy stuff sometimes, but it's never nasty - he truly is child-like and we could all do with being a bit more like him.

Karl is definitely a smart man. When he has a chance to shine and some confidence you can really see it. It shouldn't have been called idiot abroad, it should have been been marketed as an honest opinion of the 7 wonders

Thinking about it... Karl is really helping different countries to understand each other. Everybody who watches his shows in the UK and US etc are becoming more familiar with other cultures. It's actually going to bring countries closer together through his own form of comedy. That's quite an achievement for 1 person.
Well Karl sure has changed over the years and is a bit more open, but I honestly dont think he's acting. And if he is acting then he deserves a bloody oscar or something because he sure had me fooled then, And I'm not afraid to admit that.
He's not acting, he's always open. In the old podcasts he'd laugh at some of the things he, Ricky or Stephen would talk about and later on he just started giving a deadpan delivery probably for comedy effect. Now and again you'll catch him really trying not to laugh.
Karl is an extremely outgoing and well spoken person, regardless of if his response is goofy or not. It's refreshing seeing him like this as opposed to with Steven or Ricky.
I loved the pilot of the new show, Karl. Honestly, it's just amazing to have more Karl in my life! You often comment on how you don't feel you're making a difference, or doing anything amazing, but let me tell you -- I have suffered from severe health problems for the last few years, and discovering you and the things you've done has seen me through it. I've listened to everything you've ever done, seen all your programs and nothing can make me laugh quite like it.
Love "The Moaning of Life" even more than "An Idiot Abroad" (I never liked the title, since I don't think that Karl is an idiot) I often agree with him. I also like Steves HBO series "Hello Ladies"
yeah that is the greatest thing about karl he always says what he's thinking (which no one else really does atleast not on his level) i mean he ALWAYS says what he thinks that's why people call him stupid really because he says everything he thinks he says a lot of stupid stuff but measured up to anyone else he'd be saying the same about of stupid stuff as them. karl has courage.

He says things someone else would say and I'd be outraged, but you know with him that it doesn't come from a bad place. He's such a sweetheart. I need a reality TV show of him and Suzanne at home lol.
I wouldn't call Karl mad or weird - he's actually just really honest and blunt and that's where the magic lies. Anybody that still thinks it's an act is a sad person inside. Hahaha.

If you notice in the podcasts, he's often making a joke or saying something purposefully silly that Ricky will take at face value and make fun of him for it. Which is ALSO not to say that he doesn't come out with absolute rubbish a lot. But in that sense, he's just a regular working class dude who likes to talk shit
