I visited Fox Glacier and Franz Josef glacier for the first time in 2003. I couldn't believe how much they had retreated when I went back in 2017. Back in 2003 you could walk right up to the terminal of the glaciers and they came all the way to the bottom of the valley.
it's really quite crazy how much the last 20 years of climate change have affected the glaciers! we could barely see anything from the end of the glacier walks 😥
This is awesome , keep up the good content! Loved the relaxing pace and edit.
Thank you for your support!!! Do stay subscribed as we will be sharing more beautiful places in the upcoming videos 😁😁
Omg I really want to go New Zealand after watching your NZ travel series 😢
YESS!! New Zealand is definitely worth visiting! Surreal and majestic landscapes are around every corner 🥺🥺
awesome video guys! anyway what time do you travel ?
Thank you for watching!!! We visited New Zealand from early june to the start of july this year!!
Yo yo yo Indian guy is back... Love you ❤️ we are with you
Thank you for your support!! We hope that we are doing well in sharing the beauty of New Zealand with you!! 😁😁
It is pretty sad to see the glaciers retreating so much. 2006 we went to fox glacier and you could take the guided walking tour and just walk onto the glacier from the face of it. Now you cannot as we wanted to do the same in 2019 and only option was helicopter which was way too expensive. Actually we had it booked but my youngest was not heavy enough to make the weight limit for using crampons. We will be back in nz soon hopefully, thanks for the great vid bring back wonderful memories
I'm glad that we were able to bring you those wonderful memories!!! The helicopter experiences were definitely too expensive so we were hoping to enjoy them from walk; it really was a pity to see them in their current state. However, we were able to get good views of the glaciers in the Hooker Valley area so that kind of makes up for it 😂 do consider that the next time you go back!!! Thanks for your support 😁😁
@@nick_and_ada yes we also visited the hooker Valley and did the walk to the glacier too, was fantastic as it was winter and snow everywhere totally magical with Mt Cook also visible, to top it off had lunch at the hermitage which was a super delicious. Have a wonderful rest of your trip! If you guys aren't campervaning there I highly recommend it, we campervan every time we go there
Yes!!! Hooker Valley was really really surreal with the snow in winter 🥹 the views of Mt Cook and the glaciers was so worth it. We actually finished our trip several weeks back but we'll definitely try campervans the next time we're there! We were just concerned about the whole toilet/sleeping situation in winter 😂😂
@@nick_and_ada campervaning in winter is the best. We skied at coronet peak so can drive the campervan up there no probs. After skiing have a lovely meal before driving down to Queenstown for the night. Toilet and shower in the campervan is awesome too so nothing to worry there (except emptying the toilet is always a laugh). Looking forward to seeing vids from your next trip!
that sucks about the glacier. great video though
Yes, it really is a pity. At this rate there really won't be anything left in 10 years' time... thanks for your support though! We'll keep trying to share more of New Zealand's natural beauty with you!
@@nick_and_ada sad. Maybe in a couple of years you guys can give us an update.
