//ABOUT Turkish Airlines Business Class Airbus A350-900
Turkish Airlines recently introduced its new business class aboard the A350. With an innovative design, the cabin offers great comfort and privacy for travelers. Enjoy fully-flat beds, direct aisle access, and spacious seating to ensure a rejuvenating journey. The delectable gourmet cuisine, and personalized service elevate the in-flight experience. The 1-2-1 layout in this business cabin is very similar with Turkish Airlines B787 in business class.
Turkish is one of the biggest airlines in the world, flying to 126 countries, 340 destinations and 386 planes in their fleet. We started our review from Turkish Airlines flagship business lounge in Istanbul Airport, one of the best business lounges in the world.

The reverse herringbone pods on Turkish Airlines B787s and A350s are nice enough, but they are very tight (almost claustrophobic) for tall passengers, much more so than the typical pods in this type of design. There is no way I would sit in the pods with seats along the windows as those require a contortionist to climb out of the seat when in bed mode and even difficult just to get in and out. This is because the seat in front takes up so much space that it creates a real barrier to ingress and egress. The seats are fairly narrow around the shoulders, especially so when in bed mode - all in all, not a very comfortable seat for sleeping. It’s a shame because it is a costly upgrade from their old exposed seats on the B777s and A330s - the only thing I think the carrier could do is take an entire row out of business class and then space the pods farther apart. (Not sure where your seat dimensions come from - the seat width is nowhere near 26 inches between the armrests or the curvature near shoulders. It is more like 20 inches.)
Onboard service really is quite good (although the online meal pre-order system was unavailable for my IST-SEA flight for some inexplicable reason), and the crew polite, but not friendly or smiley. The business lounge in Istanbul is, of course, great! To be honest, on my next trip to the Middle East, I may well search for a B777 flight from SFO or LAX because, even though the seats are exposed, the roominess doesn’t compare with the new, inferior product.☹️

Thanks for your detail review. TBH, if I am flying as a couple, I do prefer their B777s config. However, I really like the A350 for its low noise and good air quality. So tough decision :) I am very used with these seats because I fly Singapore Airlines a lot, and I do prefer their older and way wider seats in the A350s - the ones they use for long haul now. The seat dimension comes from their website, but you are right, that is not a 26 inches, maybe with armrests included.

I checked on Singapore Airlines now, the seat is 20 inches only, “which widen to 26 inhes when the armrests are retracted”.

@@PremiumTravelClub Right - you may want to change the caption. The seat isn’t 26 inches wide - it’s 20 inches. In fact in lie-flat position it is 20 inches at the shoulders, widening only at the passenger’s waist where at its very widest point (as you can see from the video, the armrests aren’t the same width their entire length, but rather wider at one end than the other), it’s possibly 26 inches. So to be clear, the seat is 20 inches wide.

@@pacmanc8103 you are right. I cannot change it now though, the caption is embedded in the movie.
