Not good
Wonderful movie. I loved it. A look into the future that folk don’t like to see.
I thought it was slow, but the look and feel of it seemed interesting. The lad who played Benji is talented beyond his years with the non-verbal parts of his acting.
I wanted to see where it went… until it got to what I felt was a lazy ending, then I wanted my time back.
Same. Felt cool, looked cool, wasn't enough to sink my teeth into.
I feel like there is an unexplained backstory between Izi and Staples that would have added to the story overall
My thoughts exactly. And if not an unexplained backstory then at least a deeper dive into what it is each of those characters represent within the context of the themes the movie explored.
For starters, much more could have been made of idea that, despite his prejudices towards Staples, Izi was a far more self-centered individual and who offered a much less stable influence to Benji.
I didn't like it I feel like it had no plot
Correct. It didn’t even need the futuristic setting. Could of got the same movie in a modern day setting
It was an observational movie and was a great success - terrific study of people making the best of life when they have been stripped of everything. Black or white is irrelevant, it’s rich versus poor. It is a brilliant movie well worth watching.
I liked it but I hated the ending and it could’ve been executed a lot better. I like the concept we’ve seen it before with Soylent green and Logan’s run and I feel like there was a lot more. They could’ve done with the film. I love it for what they tried to do and I enjoyed it, but it could’ve been executed much better.
Reminds me of a book, "seed folks".
If somewhere in the start it mentioned why they wanted the land and where the people were surposed to go, i would of understood, i was just waiting for the movie to start through out.

Had so much potential and plot went nowhere 😢
First time I watched it I dozed off, forgot about it and months later watched again.
I enjoyed this more than I expected to
For a minute there I thought it might be a Soylent Green kind of thing with nobody knowing where the dead really end up XD
As I was watching, I was, confused, but still watched because some recommended it to me saying it was a good movie. I didn't even get the plot. Before I knew it, the credits was rolling. Wtf did I watch.
The ending made me sad.

I hated every second of this movie. Slow, dirty, uninspiring, self important without ever explaining itself.
Story was about committing to family, which was well delivered. But they could have explored the dystopian setting more and the ambiguous ending left me speechless in a negative way. We don’t need a happy end, but at least don’t give us a bad end where they‘ll be killed!

Slow.... boring..... hollow.... empty... watched it for Kano.
Same kinda shameful to watch it after top boy it's not even close to that level actually makes me appreciate Ashley more because it wasn't kano alone that made top boy what it is, it was the duality between the two
No character development, zero plot, woeful dialogue, terrible acting. Nice looking set.

Couldn’t finish this film, I struggled through only its first half. The Kitchen was completely boring and seemed to have no plot.
Me too, I am trying hard to finish it and its only 30 minutes left but then I realized its not worth my time 😅
@@ulungprabowothe film seems to be about its setting. However, we have seen settings similar to what was present in the Kitchen before.
The only people who could enjoy the movie a bit are fatherless, poor people from the hood. And even then it still would be boring as fuck
