I think some ppl missed the point of the video. Say it’s Nazi Germany and you’re hiding Jews in your house. When the Nazis come around are you going to lie or tell the truth that they’re there. That’s where it gets tricky, he’s not so much talking about “Oh, you should lie to your spouse just cause we’re born liars.”He’s talking more about whys it’s even in us to do it in the 1st place and how survival instincts come into play. At least that’s how I interpreted it.

I noticed that bad people are really good at acting like a victim in the public, crying etc to gain sympathy.
While real good people cry alone and well, they always end up as the bad person and most often find themselves alone from the crowd. They are very misunderstood (Nikola Tesla, Issac Newton, Einstein etc..)
All of their competitor are public figure... Coincidence?
At that time, they even called Nikola evil man etc when all of his intention were good.
For an example, Kratos seems like a villain but deep down he was a good person but they pushed him to the limit.
True good people never hurt other and never claimed they are savior etc... Kratos just let his rage do the talk.

I partially agree, but I also think it takes morality and strength and pro-social ethics to cry, actually cry in public. Not fake crying or crying on command but like genuinely sobbing.

I don't lie. Not just because I'm honest, but because I don't like it. Lying to me feels icky. And I hate having to keep multiple versions of reality straight in my head. It's too much work.
So basically, I am honest out of laziness.
I am hard to lie to, but I would never claim it's impossible. But you'd have to fool my substantial empathy, my keen ear for the subtleties of vocal tone, and my shrewd mind's capacity for sensing logical inconsistencies in what people are saying.
Vocal tone and logic can both be faked by a skilled liar. But nobody is sure what empathy really is. so that one's a wildcard.

And... For THAT matter, YOU mean to TELL me, that EVERY time YOU ask SOMEONE ELSE (especially someone you hardly know at all) , how THEY are doing you ACTUALLY give that much of a shit about how they are doing or feeling?? (Or do you generally expect to hear "I'm fine" and basically expect that they will NOT go into excruciating detail if they are NOT actually feeling fine?🙄🤣🤣🤣

But it also can be used in positive way. There are black truths, and white lies. Should the people who were habouring Anne Frank's family have told the truth? Was it right that the bully points out that his classmate has buck teeth? Just like a knife can be used to make a meal or stab someone to death - lying can be used positively and negatively.

Great vid some people are just not ready to understand the large moral complexity within themselves and the world. Personally, I find that your intent means a lot while not completely being an excuse to lie it definitely helps one deal with their own morality. Second is regardless if you lie or believe you shouldn’t, everyone has a point where they are at a crossroads between lying or being transparent and you know which path would in sense benefit you and which would hinder you (materialistic is usually what it’s for/ sex/ power &positioning) there your own character is tested and lots of liars never choose to lose that choice and lots of ppl don’t realise they are there (naivety/ ppl who can’t lie well). In the end, I think if you really self reflect and be honest you’ll know which side you lean towards

To be leaders capable of doing great things, to break the cycle of generational trauma far better than I already have. I suppose I want to plant the seed of the tree whose canopy I’ll never get to relax under. And the only way I can achieve that is to educate myself now way before I have children.

I cannot agree with the people saying how underrated this is. Sure a clean way to deliver information, but afterall nothing groundbreaking had been said in the video, most of it is focused on presenting plain information and applying ground to earth examples. I dont think its a bad thing just that it is not innovative enough for it to be underrated. There are many videos on youtube that led me to ponder about the touched argument after completely chaning my prespective on given topic. Here i feel pretty much the same after watching the video than before, its as if I were given the information I, like most likley many other people have already known. I'd love to see you focus on the why's part of lies and to take more of a philosophical approach to the subject for it raises many more moral questions.
In the end this is just my opinion, and feeling dissatisfaction after watching an informative video due to it not involving the methaphysical aspect of lying can be compared to disliking a cooking book because it does not explain how the oven works.

This is some weak minded thinking. Something only narcissistic people would really believe to validate what they do. This is giving “I read the 48 laws of power”. My ex read it and was a narcissist who thought like this, but got upset I could see through it. You might have to learn certain behaviors like this to survive in life if you’re weak, but anyone with emotional intelligence can see through it and read people no matter what front they put on, and let me say, it pisses a lot of people off when you can.

That's the only redeeming quality of being an INFJ (introverted intuition), or at least the only one that benefits me directly with all the other qualities benefiting others instead.
We are hardwired to be this way.
We are social beings but not because we like being social but rather because we're so goddamn useless without each other you wouldn't have lasted a day in the world your ancestors evolved into without the cooperation of others which requires trust and reciprocity (the foundation for all productive human interaction).
Introduce false memories are sort of a thing but what is worse is the fact that every time you access a memory you make it writable rather than read only so every time you remember a memory you alter it which is kind of crazy but that is what happens

This is because you almost always get what you expect and it is instead the expectation rather than the specific action that sets you up for the experience for instance if you think somebody's an a****** everything they say you're going to take the wrong way as you get what you were expecting.
We all do this everyday we just don't realize that most of the time I like when you're waiting on a phone call we're waiting for someone to get to your house and you decide to jump in the shower real quick and then you hear the phone or the doorbell just to turn the shower off and realize that was just something your brain made up for you because it's what you were expecting and you almost always get what you expect.
