I think some ppl missed the point of the video. Say it’s Nazi Germany and you’re hiding Jews in your house. When the Nazis come around are you going to lie or tell the truth that they’re there. That’s where it gets tricky, he’s not so much talking about “Oh, you should lie to your spouse just cause we’re born liars.”He’s talking more about whys it’s even in us to do it in the 1st place and how survival instincts come into play. At least that’s how I interpreted it.
That’s kinda out of the preview of most people’s lives. Like 000.01 percent of people will ever experience something moral comparable to “a nazi at the door.”

@@svandergaast1 lying is a tool to be used against enemies to protect yourself or your loved ones generally you shouldnt need to lie unless its to protect or to comfort i also believe that in some cases its better to lie to people with something comforting if you knew the truth would break them, i have seen this in media a couple times , its potentially morally ambiguous and would be bad if they found out or if you abused it to much but lying has positive uses.
I noticed that bad people are really good at acting like a victim in the public, crying etc to gain sympathy.
